Within 45 minutes of meeting her for the first time ever, Jamie hastily convinced us to submit an offer to purchase a home and sign paperwork very late at night (around 10:30 p.m.) telling us that the house may not be available tomorrow even though we were extremely exhausted from the workday. Keep in mind, we found the home and brought it to Jamie. She had no involvement or influence on us finding this home. All walkthroughs, inspection processes, & steps leading to the closing of the home were primarily led by the two of us (not Jamie). We felt that she didn't review the professional inspectors' findings & simply forwarded it to the construction manager. She showed up late to both walkthroughs as she sat on the phone outside in her car while we began the walkthrough. She also left early without having enough time to acknowledge all parties, shake hands, and simply say 'good-bye'. We, not Jamie, predominantly worked with the builder/construction team to correct or fix all that was needed inside and outside our home. As the future parents, we were highly concerned about safety, schools, gyms, recreational activities, etc. I asked Jamie to send me a vendor list of vendors in the area we lived in. She sent me an outdated 2016 sheet of vendors from her area (totally irrelevant & unhelpful relating to my concerns). I asked her over five times via both email and text messaging about wanting a sheet of vendors that were closer to my area. I even suggested asking other realtors in the area for this sheet. She kept insisting that I could use the list of vendors in Katy, TX she sent me even though I live nowhere near there. Additionally, when negotiations took place & all agreements were settled; Jamie would come in and disassemble what was already agreed upon. Furthermore, she would say to the builder/construction manager things like, "Oh wow, you're going to do that, normally that's not done." So we ask ourselves then who is Jamie working for; it seemed obviously not us. From our prospective, she doesn't negotiate well or at all and she doesn't follow up with others at the right time and is more concerned with creating a paper trail via emails than getting a task completed in a timely & professional manner. She essentially 'rubber-stamps' her emails/transactions by saying everything is 'okay' and 'fine' when that is not necessarily the case, from our viewpoint, the client. She doesn't thoroughly look into the area of where you are buying by researching schools, safety, nearby sexual predators, growth potential in the area, housing comps, grocery stores, shopping areas, life-style, and the well-being & potential of the neighborhood. The least she could do is point us in the right direction with suggestions & websites. On numerous occasions, I requested Jamie via email, text, & phone to provide me with housing comps from which it seemed she was very hesitant. It felt like pulling teeth to get any valuable information from Jamie. Jamie made this home buying process so much more strenuous and so much more complicated than it had to be. She told me that "elementary schools are zoned to your area-where you live is where you go-you don't get to choose." However, she still did not send the name of the schools including private, public, & charter schools in the area. This was a simple task that any realtor can do and should be more than willing to do. I spent so much time hearing excuses for why she was not able to get things done. From my experience, I will never recommend her or Coldwell Banker Agents to any clients. This is a true reflection of Coldwell Bankers as a real estate company and I will never sell or buy my home with this company, knowing that Jamie Mcmartin is part of the team & they stand by this type of treatment to their clients. I reached out to numerous executives within Coldwell Bankers to explain my situation & it seemed like they simply didn't care or try to make the situation right, even knowing the fact that we wanted to refer more business to them & wanted work with them to correct these wrongdoings. I completely regret working with her & Coldwell Bankers and am personally scarred for life from this experience. It truly seemed that she & Coldwell Bankers are in it for themselves & do not lookout for their clients. For me, this experience has been pathetic, shameful, & disappointing. read more
