Even after I had successfully cancelled my subscription, they made a point of calling me to invite me as I had "one more" visit I could us, only to have it clarified upon arrival that I would have to pay extra if I wanted to be seen that day. Went in for an acute problem with a rib out of place (i suspect), hoping for an adjustment and some help with severe pain. The doctor talked to me for less than 60 seconds and without asking me what kind of care I was interested in or anything about what I was experiencing (aside from that I think I have a rib out) basically told me to leave. I asked if there's anything he can do for me and he said he is 'passionate about routine care' and would not do a one off adjustment. As someone who has seen a lot of body work professionals, this was by far the most disappointing visit I've ever had to a 'doctor'. 0/10 will absolutely not be returning. I'm pretty pissed that I was told to leave without even a real consultation. He didn't even try to look at my back, or help with my pain/discomfort. read more

i have been coming to this location for about a year now and I have never had a problem with the service I have received. I receive Medicare because I am legally blind and yesterday I was treated like a second class citizen by the doctor on duty. i checked in as usual and went back to the table area to wait. when It was my turn the doctor said to me, "oh, I don't treat people on Medicare". He could not give me a valid reason why. His only answer was, "I just don't do that". There was another customer in there and I have never felt so embarrassed. I always pay for my appointments there and I have never tried to get anything for free. read more

Well, it's nice that they do walk ins, but the service is so impersonal. After filling out forms for 15 minutes, I spent about 60 seconds with the doctor getting adjusted. Clearly he didn't read my paperwork as he guessed what happened incorrectly 3 times before I just told him again. Performed one of the roughest adjustments I've ever received and I do believe he missed the most important one relative to my pain. Yeah it's only $29 for your first visit but the value is gone if you have to see someone else anyway. Wouldn't go back. read more

After getting really excited, as a disabled veteran, to have regular repeat chiropractic care at what seemed like a good price, I was really disappointed. After being welcomed as a new patient initially, they made up a client profile from 2009 to deny me the new client promotion. Then they tried to stop me from leaving when I called them on it. Shady AF, watch your wallet in this place. The statute of limitations is seven years. Trying to say I am a repeat client after 12 years without a phone call seems dubious at best. The per-unit cost at this place would end up earning either chiropractor $1600 an hour. They're nice guys but they are not worth that. Update. If I could give this dump ZERO stars, I would!! First of all, there is ZERO privacy. There are eight beds in an open space. I have never been to a chiropractor before, and I was **really nervous** and this place did absolutely NOTHING to make me feel welcome or to calm my nerves - and he knew that I was a "First-Timer." After a 20 minute wait, the chiropractor with greased back hair, said to me, "So, Juliette.." and began to read what I wrote in my chart. Notice what's missing? He never introduced himself, he just launched into his diatribe. Further, I had a failed surgery on my left shoulder that I am recovering from, and need to have it repaired this Fall. I told him that I didn't want him to touch my left shoulder, and he wouldn't allow me to get a word in edgewise to tell him WHY!! He just went on and on about the balance of the body and he had to determine the injury himself!! After listening to him rant for about 5 minutes I simply said "This is NOT going to work, you are NOT touching me!!" And, I walked out. It's a shame because I read the positive YELP reviews before I went there, and it took a LOT of courage for me to finally see a chiro! Live and learn.. read more

This Joint is fantastic! I went there this afternoon and I still fell light and energized. There are no gimmicks, no pressure, they don't try to up-sell you, and an adjustment is $20. Another really nice thing about the joint is that they really listen you you. I went there with a friend. He has neck issues, I have middle back issues. We each got different adjustments and different free advice for how to help with our respective pains in the neck. I'll be back for sure! read more

Unprofessional staff. I have had good adjustments in the past but needed some help before leaving town and thought I'd pop in first thing Sunday morning. I arrived when they opened at 10 am, the receptionist at the front desk sitting unmasked, so I had to wait by the door as she took time to make up, this should have been my first hint. I observed there were no patients being seen and this should be quick. I had to fill out a form because I had not been in 6 months (this might have been a good place to tell me how things had changed, but more on this later) and I had to take a seat to wait for the doctor as another patient had walked in while I was filing my paperwork. I was seated in the back room at a table. Then I was told he had to take another patient ahead of me because I was a walk-in, and then they had made an appointment. This was new to me as the last time I had visited there had not been appointments. Another 12 min goes by so now have been there 30 minutes when the receptionist comes to tell me they want to move me to the waiting room because 3 other appointments had shown up and it would be at least 30 more minutes before I can be seen. I understand changing your business practices because of COVID. I don't understand not communicating to your patient that they will be treated as a second priority, nor mention this when the patient says they are in a hurry. I would be much more accommodating if they could use their words to let me know how they are operating. Not made to wait forever and then treated as someone that doesn't matter as my time is not valuable. They made no mention of their new appointments, nor that I would be waiting standby until I had invested time and energy of being there for 20 minutes and then it was for one appointment. Then to come back and say you will have to wait at least as long as you already waited when I was next up when I walked in. I had been there for 30 minute to find out it might be another 30+ minutes. She then asked if I could come back later in the day around 230, apparently not listening to that I was stopping in right before I was trying to leave town. I left. This place has apparently taken a turn where they are disrespectful of peoples time and health. read more

The chiropractor is far to inexperienced and lacking in skills to be taking patients at this time. I went in for neck issue, specifically told him not to do anything on my back. First thing he did was snap my back, and now I am dealing with a fractured rib. There are plenty of good chiropractors in the Denver/Boulder area, but, they are not practicing at the Joint. I just read the small amount of reviews and it made me sad so I had to leave my own. The couple of people that work the front desk are super nice. They say their hi and byes and make you feel welcomed. was having constant lower back pain and leg cramping before I started going to The Joint once a week. My pain and posture have both improved for me and my husband. I am a very stiff person in general and I seem to carry my stress in my lower back, neck, and shoulders. I forget how to relax sometimes but Dr. Chad always gives euphoric adjustments regardless. He's great at making small talk so I can Just. Freaking. Relax. Gah lol. He was definitely born to bless the world with his back cracking skills. Among other talents, I'm sure. The other chiropractors are amazing too! I just seem to usually go when this certain chiropractor is there. I've never left The Joint BOULDER feeling unsatisfied. I definitely have in my home state. Several bad experiences in NC caused me to put off adjustments for yeaaaaars. Anyway. Totally recommend! If you've been recently during covid times you should definitely leave a positive review for these guys because what's currently here is antiquated far from accurate. read more

I once frequented The Joint, but stopped going 9 years ago when one of the docs adjusted my neck roughly. My arm immediately went numb and stayed that way for a year due to a bulged disc. The long term injury inhibited my work during that time. I came back to The Joint when I woke up on Sunday with my neck locked up and in pain. They are the only chiropractors open on Sunday. One star for that. The doc who treated me didn't introduce himself so I don't know his name. He did a partial and incomplete adjustment. A single neck adjustment for a few of the upper cervical vertebrae, to one side only, then two thoracic adjustments. They were good adjustments so one star for that. He told me to get up from the face down position. I was still in pain and spasm. I asked for him to help me up, as the weight of my head was causing more neck spasm when I tried to push up. He said "you can do it," and didn't help me. He was dismissive of my pain and seemed to think I was exaggerating. He kept telling me not to be "afraid" to move it around more and to try going for a "vigorous walk". My range of motion and pain were barely improved by the adjustments. I could still feel where my neck was out, lower and to the other side. I asked for a further adjustment and showed him where. He shook his head no and said to come back tomorrow. He said that more adjustment would make things worse. The doctor talked over me during the entire session. He seemed to think that I was inexperienced with chiropractic care and didn't know much about my body. If he had let me get a word in, as I tried, he would have heard that I know my body well and have years of experience with many different chiropractors. He would have heard that I could handle and needed another neck adjustment. He told me my neck was fine now but I could come back tomorrow if I was still in pain. I felt that he was deliberately giving me an incomplete adjustment in order to get me to return for another visit. I left with only minuscule improvement. I woke up the next day, still in pain and unable to move. I went to a different chiropractor on Monday. The first adjustment he did was the one I had asked The Joint doc to do. He said, "wow, you really needed that!" I had immediate relief. I will not return to The Joint. The care was not helpful and the attitude of dismissiveness to my pain was just confounding for a chiropractor's office. read more

A very weird place. I went through the paperwork to get an adjustment, and was waiting to get treated for the first time, when the front desk lady told me I wasn't done with the paperwork. They had some odd questions that were not related to my medical history and wanted me to agree to, like that chiropractic was the cure for all sorts of things, which I don't know. I'm happy to give my medical history but I don't see why they need me to agree about general statements about chiropractic. When I informed her I wasn't comfortable answering yes or no to those questions, especially since they are not related to my medical history, she kept insisting that I needed to agree to everything because I was in a doctor's office and that alone meant I needed to agree to all the opinions in the forms. She was really unpleasant, and even said that I did not have the right to speak in a doctor's office! Crazy! I left before getting treated because of that experience. read more

I went here with my wife last week and thought it was a great place. In addition to the great value (only $20) I got a free massage. The doctor was professional and helpful. He not only fixed my back, but offered advice for excersises to help strengthen my problem areas in the future. Maybe the best thing about the whole visit was that I didn't have to make an apointment or wait a long time. Plus, the next time we come in all we have to do is scan the id tag that fits on my key chain. This was important to me because I dont live in CO and was just visiting. So I didnt have time to look up a doctor and make an apointment. read more

I had a significant amount of discomfort in my neck and shoulders. This was probably caused by all the driving and computer work I do. Exercising wasn't solving the problem and I didn't have time for a full blown massage - I needed relief and I needed an efficient solution. Being in Boulder for the afternoon I pulled into The Joint. They were able to see me immediately and I was out in about 15 minutes. The adjustments were effective and solved my pain issues almost immediately. I will go back again when future adjustments are needed. They sell a few different packages which I will consider for future visits. The one thing I'm curious to find out is if you get the same doctor each time. It would be nice to have a relationship with the person. I will wait to see if that relationship develops, or if this place is strictly a 'pop' in 'pop' out. read more

The Joint isn't your typical chiropractic clinic. I read one review that aptly compared it to McDonalds although I'd prefer to compare it to Subway, same idea just a little healthier and little more custom to your needs but definitely not a Michelin star restaurant! Like Subway where everyone shares the same line, The Joint consists of a small lobby and an open room with eight tables. No privacy implied or otherwise. If you have to do paperwork with the receptionist, established customers can just walk in and grab a table ahead of you (sort of like if you want to read the menu at Subway and people who already know what they want get in line ahead of you). This can increase your wait time but once you are setup in the system, you too can walk right in ahead of the other newbies. I've never had a particularly bad experience but I wouldn't go there for serious issues. If I have a serious issue, I'll see an orthopedist (i.e., an MD that specializes in skeletal issues). But if I just have a joint out of whack, these guys get it done efficiently and cheaply. Just like if I'm hungry and don't want to sit down for an elaborate meal... read more

The staff and people are great, but be sure you know your body before you go. They don't do any in-depth examinations or health histories. They just hop you on the table and have at it. The Joint is the equivalent to over-the-counter health care. Sometimes, all you need is an Advil, and that's totally ok. But if the Advil is just covering up a deeper problem, you're doing more harm to your body than good by not tending to it. If you're just dealing with day to day aches, then The Joint may be the perfect place for you. But if you're having any tingling, loss of sensation, or you know you have a disc problem, see someone who will do a thorough examination and give you fully customized care. read more

They told us the wait would be 30 minutes which was fine we decided to wait. They then proceeded to let 4 people check in and walk to the back to lay down ahead of us and never confronted any of them. And I have a hard time believing they could have been here before us when we've been sitting here the entire time and they walked in long after us and we were specifically told if you left your name gets taken off the waiting list. 45 minutes later they are still telling us there's more people ahead of us. I get that there is only one provider working but I'm not sure how they can be so slow and the customer service be so crummy. We've been to many different Joint locations and this one has been the worst by far. Avoid this location if at all possible and go somewhere else. read more
