After the merger, it was obvious that he was not at all happy about the move. The last time I went by the office (I had not been for several months), it was closed. I have since found out that he has taken a medical director position somewhere else but is still practicing with limited hours through a wellness company in Wesley Chapel called Emerald Coast Glambulance (https://www.emeraldcoastglambulance.com). I would like to say it helped but I started late in my third trimester (37 weeks). My daughter was born within my second week of treatment. They welcome you and pull the whole "we are family". Do NOT fall for it!!! I did and lost thousands of dollars to a couple that lacks any sliver of empathy. My husband was laid off and I met with Kaylee to cutback service, temporarily. She didn't even ask if we were ok. Instead, she proceeded to still try to upswell me-using scare tactics. "You may not be able to come back only twice a month, and will maybe need weekly. We will have to evaluate". Then I was going to get a final adjustment. Kaylee once again lacked empathy. "To get adjusted today, you will need to pay the remaining $6.92". While I do not expect a handout, really? I've paid literally thousands and you're now being petty. She even was like "how much do you pay for your gym membership?" None of their business! Every other person in my life was like "don't worry, we've got you until your husband finds a new role". Is getting $6.92 worth losing a lifetime patient? Apparently, yes. Insult to injury-I was sitting on a panel for THEM that following Saturday. Doing them a favor for free. I informed them that there was a person on the panel that had acted (knowingly) unethically in several ways and it was a conflict of interest for me to be on the panel. Kaylee informed me she would not be there, as they "respected" me. I wanted to cancel on them, due to how hurt and robbed I felt by them. But I did not. That's not who I am as a person. I arrived Saturday am, took hours out of my day off. Kaylee comes up to me 2 minutes before the start and goes "oh, heads up-we voted and she's coming". Heads up?! Ha. A heads up would have been a call the day before and allowing me to decide if I was still comfortable going. Bait and switch just seems to be their general MO. If I could go back and re do jointing their "family", I would not have. Hence why I should inform anyone reading this not to. Find a chiro that genuinely cares about you and your well-being...in and out of the office, and beyond how much money they can milk from you. I also asked them to remove my promo video and pictures, which they completely ignored. I no longer felt that way, hence my request. Because they didn't remove, I wanted to express my true feelings.

I had always put it off…read morebecause I didn't want the cost associated with having to pay for multiple visits, but this "community" setting has won me over. The first visit you get a tour along with learning the rules and regulations. After that, you're on your own. You walk in (either with or without an appointment), pay at the pay station - and you set the amount you want to pay - then take a seat in one of the recliners. Okay, this part is a bit odd; you are in a massive dimly lit room with calming new age music playing. After you take a seat, the acupuncturist on duty that day comes over, quizzes you about your issues, then proceeds to place needed in your arms, hands, legs, feet, ears, and/or head. It does not hurt - there is mostly just a pressure, if you feel anything at all. This community environment, instead of having individual cubicles or offices, is what enables them to keep the prices so low. So, while you may hear snoring, coughing, whispering, etc. you are paying a lot less then you would at many offices.

They have a "pay what you can" policy that places all each session between $15-$40 and it's totally up to the client what amount they would like to pay within that range. Plus, my interactions with the woman at the front desk and the therapist were very pleasant. If I were ever to have acupuncture done again, I would come right back here. My rating is more about the service itself, and might be more of an indictment on acupuncture as a whole, rather than the business. I've had lower back and hip pain for years. I've tried everything under the sun to mitigate this pain, but nothing has worked. I recently asked my physical therapist if he thought acupuncture would be helpful and he suggested that it was worth a shot. I saw the phenomenal reviews for this studio, so it was pretty obvious where I'd be going for my first experience. Booking my appointment online was super easy, and I was able to get something that was only about an hour or so later from when I actually made the appointment. When I arrived, I was given new patient paperwork and was kicking myself when I read that headphones could be used, because I didn't even think to bring mine. However, before I was sent back for treatment, I was asked to please turn my phone completely off before leaving the lobby, so I'm not sure how one would listen to headphones when their phone isn't allowed to be one. Either way, this was not a huge issue. I received a brief tour of the facility and then was shown to my chair. I was asked to remove my shoes, socks, watch and everything in my pockets. The recliner I was asked to sit in was incredibly comfortable - that was probably my favorite part of the entire experience. When the acupuncturist came by, he asked me where my ailments were. He then gave me a quick overview of what to expect and then began poking me with the needles. He mentioned that he would be poking me all over my body, but I didn't expect zero attention to be given to my actual problem areas. He poked my hands, my arm, my head and my ankles. A few of the needles hurt going in and a few others would hurt pretty badly if I even moved a small amount. Sitting still for about 45 minutes was virtually impossible, so I had quite a few instances of accidentally moving the needles into some pretty painful positions, on accident. Eventually the acupuncturist came by to remove the needles. He asked me if I felt better. It made me laugh because it just didn't seem possible that my chronic pain of 2 years could actually dissolve after tiny needles were inserted into random parts of my body. I felt comfortable and relaxed due to the delightful chair and peaceful music that was being played, but of course it was a zero in terms of helping my pain. Does acupuncture actually work for certain problems and certain people. I'm sure. But for me and this issue, it's just not for me.

Dr. Tom reviewed his CT scan, treated him at the office and referred him to Pain Medicine. Dr. Tom and his office set up a meeting for Monroe with Pain Medicine for that day. Monroe and I drove to Tampa and were seen within minutes. The result, Monroe is scheduled for injections into 2 levels of his Lumbar spine which should help with this horrible pain he has been living with for so long. I have been a patient of Dr. Tom and can personally speak of his experience and bedside manner. Literally, I have walked into his office limping and crooked and walked out strong and straight....nope, not exaggerating.
