Low stars for front desk workers- NOT DOCTORS! Doctors were great, had great experience with them. My boyfriend and I came in (I am on membership and he is not) the front desk ladies couldn't give us the time of day, would not even barely look up from their phones and had the worst attitudes. On Sunday from 2 until 3 ish whoever was working the desk, was NOT who you'd want to help service potential new members. read more

First time I came in because I was having back problems. In my prior experience, a chiropractor will take the first assessment to really narrow down the issue and look at the your body as a whole. This was not my experience here. It is for people who need a quick adjustment and not serious in depth work. I timed my sessions after noticing how quick they were and found out they were an average of 3 minutes per session. I had the membership which was 79 per month and granted you 4 sessions for a total of 12 minutes for 79 dollars. Any additional sessions were 10 per session. Cancelling your membership is not a straight forward process . Have you been there in person to cancel, write down information that they already have like your name, phone number, and date and sign a paper. You can only cancel after 2 months service. Definitely not easy or good if you need in depth care. Good if you just need a quick fix after the gym. read more

Anthony was my chiropractor the first time i went here and was excellent. He showed me the stretches to do for aftercare and the massage helped release tension. Just moved from downtown to the woodlands. I really enjoyed the chiropractors I saw at the bellaire location and had high hopes for this location. I had Anthony Nguyen and man it was rough. Very little communication as to what he was seeing or going to do. No breath in and breath out, just right into the adjustment. I don't think I've ever had an adjustment so fast. The one star is only for the initial sessions. They were pretty good. I had to travel and put my account on "freeze". I was informed that I could cancel it if it wasn't possible for me to continue. Later, even when asked for a particular doctor, that doctor wouldn't always be made available to you. Now the reason why I got pissed to give this review : when I call these guys, they want you to physically walk in to a clinic and cancel the membership. I mentioned that I am prone to covid and that I have been recently in contact with people who tested positive, and still they want to take that up with management and see if the membership ( which for the month hasn't even started) could Be cancelled. Seems like these guys don't care for others health and are just there to take $$$ from you. I will update the review if I hear further from them making sure they do not charge me for this upcoming payment period as I won't be using their services. read more

I have never been to a place like this before. I came on a Saturday hoping for a quick fix for shoulder pain. I didn't wait more than 5 minutes after filling out paperwork. No appointment needed, you can walk in. It's one big room with 4 chairs and everyone's getting adjusted simultaneously. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, I was in and out quickly, and took advantage of their $29 first timer offer. Dr Brennan is knowledgeable and gave me great tips for every day but I left with the same pain I came in with. I think this place is good if you need fast treatment. However if you're looking for more personalized, private, extensive care I'd probably go to a more traditional chiropractor. read more

I was diagnosed with scoliosis that flew under the radar for 24 years. I get quite locked up a lot and going here for my personal needs is way better than having to make and appointment and paying $100 for a normal chiro office to see me and do the exact same thing. They do great basic adjustments and muscle work to loosen me me. That being said, if you have injuries from a car accident or bad arthritis or some severe affliction, don't expect this place to help. I see a lot of bad reviews and the common denominators are that these people had pre-existing injuries. When you go in the first time, they literally tell you that they don't do X-rays and you sign a waiver saying that your problems aren't a result from an accident or something like that. I did what was requested of me December 17th I canceled my account and I thought okay cool I'm not gonna get charged the 79 dollars, my fault that I didn't keep a better eye of my bank account but I kept getting charge till July! I called because I thought it was a simple mistake and they will reverse the charges but I keep getting policy emails which I understand but if I did what was asked of me, I should get my money back!! I've been to hundreds of chiropractic appointments over the last decade due to major spine issues and surgery so I have some ability to gauge these folks. Only about 1/2 of the doctors provided quality adjustments, while the other 1/2 felt rushed and unsatisfying. However, my 1 star review is not based on quality of care, but rather the joint's deceptive and restrictive contract practices. Do not ever sign on for any sort of recurring billing, pay for the visits upfront, or go find another provider. They refuse to cancel my service, even after escalation to management. I no longer live in the area and it is not feasible for me to return to site to continue this back-and-forth. They have now charged me for 3 months of unused chiropractic services (disputed the CC charges successfully). As a lawyer familiar with reviewing contracts, I can't call this anything other than a SCAM! read more

I recently purchased 20 visit package due to pain in my neck; the next week my neurosurgeon told me not to do any chiropractic sessions due to the condition of my neck, he said it could cause paralysis. I call The Joint and they told me they don't refund money on the "packages". The manager of the store said he talked to the owners and they said NO to a refund. To me this a BAD BUSINESS! I don't think I've ever given a yelp review before but I just had to. I never had neck pain when I came to the joint. The first session the guy fully adjusted my neck and it hurt like hell! And was sore which told me was normal. But what isn't normal is the fact that I never had neck pain or feeling like it needs to be popped all the time and now, I do. I never even used to be able to pop my neck at all. The joints philosophy is that one size fits all because after going there plus watching them adjust other people ahead of me, they do the same adjustments for everybody. They might focus one area of pain you have like for me it was my middle right side but they will still do the same adjustments for everybody. My biggest regret is letting him do my neck. Beware if you need to cancel your membership. They will make it difficult. With the rising cases of COVID-19 I asked if they could cancel as I did not feel comfortable attending the facility. They indicated to me that I needed to visit the center in-person to cancel... which defeats what I'm trying to avoid doing altogether (i.e. not visit the center)... What a joke. read more

Went to "The Joint Chiropractic " in the Woodlands. I have chronic neck pain, previous x-rays indicate cervical arthritis and degenerative disk disease, which I presented at my visit. The Chiropractor, Sherman Rawlins, DC, didn't take X-ray, I ask why, he said that's how we keep cost down. He adjusted my neck, then told me to turn on my back, take a deep breath let it out and OMG ! I sat up quickly and told him "do not do that again !", the pain shot from my left breast to my back area. The story is long, the short version, I had to go see my primary care doctor and had Thoracic, Cervical and Chest X-rays. I never had thoracic pain until I was treated there, as a patient over 65, they should take x-rays and should have used an instrument, not manual adjustment, and why their chiropractor treated my back when I had no back pain is a mystery. I left there with back thoracic left pain. Now under my Primary Care Doctor. The joint gave money back with the exception of $10.00, the manager doesn't talk to you she hides behind her front office staff. read more

Dr. Minnie was very professional and gave me a solid adjustment with focus on the areas that I expressed as a concern. This is a four star review instead of 5 because this is a place for a quick adjustment not for problem solving or additional therapies. Love this place, been coming here for years! I am a hygienist and of course nobody flosses (haha) so I am stuck in one position cleaning teeth. I also so massage on the side, so my spinal health I take seriously. Dr.Rawlins is thorough and so kind. He takes his time with each patient and even massages you a little before cracking. I am very familiar with the Owner Noah, who I have seen in an out all of the locations. I had an issue with being charged once with my credit card after I had put a freeze on it for three months and Noah credited me and fixed everything. I can't say enough good things about The Joint. Very hit and miss as you are never sure you will see someone you have seen before. Some good, some were rough, some just plain bad. Did not honor internet offer upon sign up, but I was there and in pain so I foolishly signed up. Intentionally hard to cancel. Another company that relies on using the auto draft scam. No way to cancel outside of going in during business hours. Tried calling corporate all week to cancel, bit they do not allow that to happen any way other than in person, in the office. Took out money a day earlier than usual (earlier than the previous three months) and of course that was before I could go there in person. Overall a terrible experience. read more

Update. We finally received a callback for "management". At a certain point i had to politely let the lady know that I will be ending this conversation since it is not leading towards a plausible, sensible, honorable solution. And in my condition getting all worked up by this unjust way of going about this....yeah... not good. Anyway, basically the same stupidity. THEY WILL NOT REFUND!!! We paid $108 x 2 for the first month, were charged another $79 x 2 for the second month even after we called to cancel (which at first wasn't possible but suddenly was). The account was cancelled but only after we were charged the second month! And my husband and I literally went ONCE. Well my husband did have a follow up visit, so I went once he went twice. I explained that we both have underlying medical issues we were made aware of only after initially signing up and we were both advised to stop. I also explained to miss management that my HCP will not give a note sharing my medical info. I can understand why this place isn't registered with the Better Business Bureau. No accountability is good for their business. They steal your money and as a customer not one thing you can do about it. According to miss management's explanation we should be charged 3 x $20 and some change and be refunded the rest. Simple. This is by far the worst customer service experience ever. Peeps reading this, please do not be fooled into a subscription, just pay per visit. Sure they are all smiles as long as you keep giving them your money. read more

This review is for Dr. Rawlins specifically. I went to this location for the first time today due to severe lower back pain, swelling and sciatica. I basically had a flare up which almost completely immobilizes me. Everything was going well with the doctor that was assigned to me, he was patient and worked with me. As I sat up, freshly adjusted, Dr. Rawlins walked up behind me, unannounced, grabbed me by the shoulders and used his knee to push into my lower back. He made some comment about my posture. This was shocking to me. The position he put me in caused an immediate shock of pain to my body and I burst into tears. I asked to speak to him because I could not understand what would posses him to do what he did and was directed to the front of the office. He asked me what I needed as he stood at reception and I explained to him that he had no right to grab me the way he did. He proceeded to speak to me in such an uprofessional manner in front of the staff and patients. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly by a doctor or any health professional. He proceeded to tell me he had been practicing for years, stated he knew what he was doing and got extremely defensive and dismissed my complaints without any genuine concern or a real apology. And he might have all those years of experience, but before you go grabbing people how about you look at their chart or ask them if you can help them. I was humiliated and stated multiple times I would not go back to this place due to this doctor. Dr. Rawlins needs to learn some beside-manners and rethink his practices. read more

This place is about as fraudulent as it gets. They are not only extremely misleading with their recommendations for you which are scam-oriented in nature, but they LIE to you. Dr. Rawlings specifically should have his license revoked as a doctor and to be frank, I question his authenticity as a doctor in the first place. Their primary goal is to instill fear, not to be honest with their patients about what may actually be going on with their back. They tried to tell me I have scoliosis without doing any type of X-rays which is not only unethical, but WRONG. Turns out I do not have scoliosis. I went to this place as I was out of town from my regular chiropractor but in serious need of an adjustment. Places like this are what make many people think that chiropractors are not real doctors. During my initial assessment, I was told to twist and turn and then asked if that caused me any pain. I snuck a peak at my "chiropractor" who wasn't even watching me as I did this "assessment". The entire thing was a joke. While this may be "cheaper" it is certainly not effective and you would be much better off shelling out the cash for a real chiropractor. read more
