To be honest I was just expecting 'whack it in the microwave' food but it was actually incredibly tasty and very well presented. The staff are very friendly, too. I went up to the bar for a drink just after my food arrived and it nearly went cold because I was chatting to the barman for so long. It is especially nice in the summertime as the garden, although next to a main road, it full of flowers and trees and is the perfect place to let your children run around.

The play equipment is relatively small for these types of places but the children can still while away a couple of hours. Tea and coffee and refreshments available in the wacky warehouse place, as usual in this sort of place it is vastly overpriced. The food in the pub/restaurant is standard pub fayre and not particularly good unless it's frozen nuggets and chips you desire. I would say that in the wacky warehouse they play MTV excrutiatingly and deafeningly loud so you can't have a conversation over it and come out with a banging headache! God knows why they do this, even when there are only a couple of parents with babies in there they still crank it up. Weighing up the pros and cons of going here vs going to Bumpi's across the road I would say that the only positive is that it is smaller so in some ways does your head in a little less, whereas Bumpi's is massive and very loud and more expensive to get into. We both decided to try the chicken curry which was pretty good, tasty, plenty of chicken and a nice level of spiciness. The mango chutney had a nice bite to it. Two thumbs up on this one. The pub itself is a fair size, but not huge and has an open plan feel, with a good range of outdoor seating too. On Friday and Saturday nights it is packed to the rafters, especially as most Saturday nights have live entertainment - bands, individual singers etc. Some of the acts attract quite a following, so if you want a seat, its best to get there early. Dress code - understated cool, think jeans and a fave top, and accesorize up , rather than full on club gear. Labels abound - but not obligatory. Music varies but mainly your typical dance tunes, coupled with drum and base and some mainstream. Reasonable sized space on the dance floor for throwin a few shapes if that's your bag - the staff tend to encourage this and join in with gusto. Always a party atmosphere to be had, very little genuine posing, and a no hassle ambience. A little known secret is their food.. pop in for your lunch on a weekday and you will find that its good value, excellent quality and the portions are on the whole very generous. I had the linguine the other day and it was enough for three!!. Also DO come here on a sunday for your good old roast - iin my opinion its unbeatable in Tamworth for value, portion size and a good laid back atmosphere. You do have to sometimes vy for space with a few pensioners - who somehow seem to have got wind of the place - but it just adds to the good old British Sunday traditional atmosphere.

The chips were beautiful nice and crispy outside yet fluffy inside. A friend had the 'house speciallity' which was minted Lamb shank with mash. I was fortunate to try some, it was real nice, the meat simply fell away from the bone. The food was all served very hot and was all freshly prepared. For dessert I had Chocolate Fudge cake with cream. I'd asked for it warm however it was served just a little off cold. But it was nice all the same. Reasonably priced (10oz Sirlion just under £12) good food in a nice rustic environment. Make sure you book as the place got very busy and people were soon queing for tables. The locals are also very friendly. The downside is the car park is not very big so parking can sometimes be a problem.
