While the company has been around for several years, they've been in this location since 2023. Housed in a thoughtfully repurposed warehouse, the space is raw and full of potential for just about about any setting from weddings to art exhibitions to corporate gatherings. It reminds me of other spots I've seen in other areas of the city, but this location in The Heights makes it a prime location. There is close to 10,000 sq ft of usable space, complete with bathrooms, a waiting / welcome area, bar area, prep kitchen, high ceilings, and function rooms (changing / lounging) and is completely ADA accessible with ramps. While the Wi-Fi and ventilation are a bit on the weak side, I am pleased they're still options. As with many centrally based venues, parking may require coordination for larger attended events, though I suspect the neighboring brewery (#1) may end up taking many of the spots. The neighborhood setting definitely adds to the space's creative energy and being next to a popular BBQ place (#2) doesn't hurt either. Overall, I'm so impressed with the venue and hope to find myself coming back for other events. I have no doubt given the space's versatility, that it can really transform into just about anything. I am currently in the process of planning my wedding at Life HTX. A lot of these details may be…read morerevised upon the completion of the event in the upcoming weeks. I began planning my wedding prior to the pandemic so this has been an ongoing/stressful process of multiple years at this point. When I had first reached out to Life HTX, they were previously coordinated by another individual who had helped me through the booking process and assured me about the flexibility and accommodations Life would provide. Over the course of the pandemic, they have had a lot of management changes in the venue and is now also affiliated with a fitness company. This means a lot of the original flare of the venue is now mitigated by a lot of the fitness accoutrement and yoga material. They reassure me that these will be removed prior to the wedding day. However some of these items now in the space are unable to be relocated, including multiple sad fig trees and tables which depending on what your theme is, may or may not coincide. They do not assist in turnover or flip. In order to book at Life, you reach out to the coordinator and they will provide you with rates and pricing per discussion with their owner. Valet is provided at a cost. As is security. There is not enough parking on site. The entry and entry roads are more cramped than is ideal for a gathering. I already know a tremendous amount of guest goers will get lost. There is a refundable kitchen deposit stipulation despite the "kitchen" being more of a break/storage room which is unable to be used for actual preparing of meals. Hopefully we will retain this by the end of our event. Tables and ghost chairs can be negotiated and included in the price. There are strict event parameters for the timeline. Make sure to be mindful of this or you'll be in for headache as I am. Will need to usher partygoers out en force at 10:30 on the dot. Event insurance is required. Life has a modern feel, which is what attracted us initially. It is one long connected rectangle. There is a named living room space and the proper life HTX. An upstairs area can be used as the bridal suite. The living room has couches and tables with golden accents. A bar is available. Multiple additional silver mobile bars are also in the life HTX space. Their interior is white with modern white hanging chandeliers that can be lit up to your color of choice. Their walls also contain multiple adjacent projectors which can project a stock image or your image of choice. Give these to their coordinator/AV tech 14 days before your event. The exterior and interior of the building are more dated then I had originally envisioned secondary to pictures online. I would recommend a walk-through to make sure the venue is as you imagined. Some areas of paint are discolored or missing inside. Overlying canopy at an entrance is discolored. The grassy landscape has succumbed to the snow and ice storms Houston has recently underwent. A lot of the reviews are dated multiple years ago and prior the pandemic. Just want to give a more recent experience regarding Life and it's offerings. To be honest, it has been the most challenging vendor I am working with for my wedding and throughout this pandemic situation. I would recommend Life perhaps for an event that is intrinsically more for casual fun and gathering. In regards to a wedding which is near and dear to your heart and definitely involves a lot more emotional sentiment, I find It challenging to recommend to another bride. It definitely can be done, but it just depends on how much stress and effort you're willing to undergo. Hindsight is 2020.

The technology is new and did not have any audio/visual issues. Catering was good. The venue appears to allow outside food. Fajitas were grilled onsite outside in the parking lot. The parking lot is a small lot but there is street parking and of course valet. I always come early and have not had an issue finding a space in the lot or street parking to the left or right of the building.

This past weekend I had my baby shower here, at first everything was wonderful. Everything seemed great I decided to go with this venue as everything else was way out of our budget being first time young parents. I let her know I wanted to book 4 hours and sent the $300 "refundable" deposit. After this she said thank you then I did not here from her again until I messaged her to confirm the booking and make sure tables and chairs were in order 2 days before. At that point she called me and told me my balance was paid off and asked what tables I preferred and how many chairs. At the time I believed she was giving a discount as I found her through Peerspace but we did not use Peerspace so they wouldn't be taking a portion out. The day of she accommodated our needs and her son was there putting chairs out. The chairs were thrown outside sloppy all going different directions the tables were not the ones I asked for but everything was ok because they were so kind and helpful with everything else and it was a great price. When our reservation was over I called to let her know everything was clean and asked if there was anything else she needed from me she said no. I then sent her $100 as a thank you and because that was the original price we discussed although she said multiple times that "our balance was paid off". Serval hours later she called me and she sounded sketchy and off a vibe I had not gotten from her until this point. she asked if I sent more than $400 because her records only showed $400 I explained to her that she told me the balance was paid off at $300 and I sent the extra to show my gratitude she then said I owed another $100 for the cleaning fee that "my mother in law offered to pay it if I wanted to take her up on that" at this point I was almost in tears because of the stressful day I had and the high of it all going smooth and being over with to the low of feeling like I'm being scammed or tricked. She got an attitude very quickly referring to a contact I had not heard of up until this point. I never was given a contract or told about one the whole booking process was very relaxed and unprofessional looking back. I don't ever want to screw anyone over or not do the right thing so I paid the extra $100 but my last discussion with her was very shady and makes me sad because the experience started off great. I also spoke to my mother in law and she said the owner never mention anything about a $100 cleaning fee or anything about money. The actual space was ok but the owner is shady and I will never recommend this place. Pay the extra couple hundred as this place will probably try to get it out of you and overall they were not professional.

Bingo is $15 and cash only, and you're free to bring your own food and drinks as long as they're not items the lodge sells. The crowd is younger and much livelier than the stereotypical bingo scene. Doors open at 5:30, and getting there early really matters if you want a good seat because it fills up fast. You can even reserve tables for birthdays or group events. They also sell mini cakes, popcorn, and daubers.
