Came here for a birthday party. Check in process was a little clunky. My kid had a blast but the place seems old and not maintained well. There were parts of the play areas that could have been vacuumed, dusted and better organized. Some things seemed haphazardly placed especially for a birthday party. I have enrolled my daughter at Jungle Gym for the last few years, and my son was enrolled before her at the older location. I am so happy they were able to stay open through pandemic closures! First the coaches are wonderful. They are kind and welcoming to my child, they know her well and greet her warmly. The coaches are skilled at teaching young people gymnastics, and help the kids have fun and learn. The facility is really fun for kids. They have a good variety of activities and keep the class sizes appropriately sized for the facility. My child loves the trapeze and trampoline best. She works hard each week to improve, and she is inspired by her coaches. Birthday parties at Jungle Gym are popular with my child and her friends. Get the bouncy house! The zip line is also a special treat. The owner is responsive to my questions and communicates important info with flyers in the space and emails about holiday schedules, billing, and special programs like camps and parents' night out. As expected/advertised for a 5-year-old's birthday party. We had plenty of pre-party communication from the staff which helped us make the most of 90 minutes. My kid and their pre-k pals had an absolute blast and I enjoyed not having to clean up afterward! I recommend springing for the bounce house and/or zip line for the 4-6 crowd. read more

We went here for a 3 year old's birthday party. The inside of the gym is lots of fun with a bounce house and slide, trampoline, rope swinging and rock climbing wall. I think that this would be perfect for 4 year olds and older as it required a lot of parental supervision for the younger kids under 3. It was really hot inside the party room space where the kids ate food and drinks as it was quite small and not big enough to move around easily enough with parents and kids. They did decorate the party room really well with balloons, birthday sign with the kids name on it and it felt very festive. If you are having a birthday party here it's great because you don't need to bring any decorations. Just bring the food, drinks and cake. read more

Jungle Gym is such a great Burien establishment! Weekend classes for my 3 year old are fun and the highlight of her weekend. It's also great to pop into the open gym during the week if we need to burn off some steam when there's bad weather. My grandson had his birthday party here. It was at 4 pm and it was a dark, wet day to begin with. Your given just 1 1/2 hrs to hold your party. My daughter splurged and added the bouncy house for an extra cost. The kids that were invited seemed to be having a good time on the various pads. The age here was just for 3 yr olds. I thought the place was dark, and the party room was freezing. Might be better if it was earlier, and the sun was out. But we can't control the weather. read more

This review is for a B'day party ... not the gymnastic classes that are offered here. Just hosted a B'day party for my 6 year old. We booked a 4-6pm birthday and the place was HOT! I think there needs to be some windows that can be opened because the kids are running and jumping around and it was a nice day outside so the place was far too hot for the kids. I was concerned about heat stress affecting the kids so we kept giving them cold water to keep them hydrated. The kids did have fun jumping and playing but there was very little actual organized activities for the b'day party. I think the only real game was a short dodgeball type game at the start of the party then it was pretty much open play while the aide monitored the zip line and trapeze. The party room is way too small for even a small party (we had 9 kids). The room is decorated for the party but 3 out of the 4 balloons used were princess/girly and the party was for a boy. Everyone kept commenting about this and it was quite embarrassing but I just responded that it came with the room. All in all, I couldn't wait to be out of that place. Drive a little farther and host your kids b'day party at Pump It Up or Bounce 360. At least those places have room for the entire party and everyone has fun. My eight year daughter comes here weekly for ninja class. She absolutely loves it! The coaches are friendly and encouraging and make class really fun for the kids. We have been coming for almost a year and she isn't the least bit tired of it. Every week they rearrange the equipment to keep it fresh. The prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of the class. They also have more serious gymnastics training available, and a great drop in option for rainy weekends. read more

My son enjoys coming here for open gym. A great local place to come on a rainy day to release all that toddler energy. Cons: The place smells a little and could use some deodorizing. The changing table is in the same area where the children's toy box is. So my son would be playing around smelly diapers. It feels unsanitary to me to have a diaper trash can and changing table in the same corner as the small toy area. Pros: The staff is great. They keep an eye out on children to ensure safety and proper usage of equipment. The price is fair. Bathrooms are clean. Water fountain available and free WiFi! Plenty of parking. WOW! My daughter has been here twice- once for a friend's birthday party and last night for their 'Kids Night Out' drop off party. The staff were so professional and caring, loved watching the male staff members 'roughhouse' with the boys who clearly were LOVING it. The layout for play is amazing, with a trapese, trampoline, balance bars and the little room for 'downtime' The 'Kids Night Out' was a dream for both daughter and us- for us it was $20 for a sitter from 6-9 with easy access to great places to eat nearby and for her, it was so much fun she cried when we showed up, and we agreed to wait until they actually closed so she could play for another few minutes. The party we attended was also so well run, the best was that kids of all ages were happy playing together, the way the cake and playtime were separated were fantastic and overall, I'd totally recommend this place for your kids party - for any age! This place is Great. Very clean and professional. Great teachers who are good with the kids. The best thing is that you can drop off your kids and pick them up later. We recently had our Son's birthday party there, and everyone had a great time. Kids passed out on the way home. They have tons of room, and equipment. We went to The Jungle Gym today and had a great time. I scheduled a Open Gym for my Mom's group and the kids had a blast. The space was small so when I first walked in I was a little disappointed but it ended up working very well because I could see my daughter without searching. Good for kids of all ages We've only been there for a birthday party, but it seems like a great place. They accommodated kids from age 7 on down to those barely 2, and everyone had a blast. The room is kind of small, but it's not to the detriment of the equipment. When you're at a jungle gym, "up" is the only direction that you're really using. Still, the variety of equipment kind of blew me away. They had springboard and parallel bars, as well as padded climbing equipment for kids and a number of trampolines. The zip line was a favorite, and the girls that work there have a lot of patience to make sure it's fun for the kids who don't really get it yet. For parties, there's a separate room that gets the job done. It makes it easy to get the kids into the party and away from the rest of the gym. Also, they have a "parent's night off" where you can drop off your kid for a couple hours. With the Burien are building up its night life, that's really going to pay off for us when our toddler is a little older. Look out! I'm really happy to be raising a kid in the era of the indoor play gym. This place, along with a number of similarly-equipped play gyms, makes my job easy between October and April. Jungle Gym, in particular, is really good with kids across a number of age ranges and has awesome equipment. If there's a place that's better for this, inside or close to Seattle, let me know. I think this place is great. Bottom Line: It's really fun just watching kids play here. Maybe not the best gym in Seattle, but definitely a quality effort by its owner and staff. My daughter loves this place. We only do open gym and kids night out but she really just loves bouncing and all the gym things she can do. All the staff is friendly. Kevon has been great about letting us reschedule when my daughter has been ill. I like for $4 more I can drop her off for open gym...this came in handy for when I had surgery and we needed an inbetween thing for her to do and I was furloughed from work, I had no daycare at the time. I also used the open gym time when I was furloughed from work since I didn't have daycare so she could play and engage with other kids she was really missing her daycare pals. read more

So the pros would be that my two year old son had an absolute blast at his birthday party. The instructors were great and it was really nice to only have to bring food because they do everything else. The cons are that they DO NOT transition well between parties. You get ten minutes to set up. I was told five minutes before the next party that we needed to start heading out. We had literally just started the cake! It's hard to keep track of time when you're hosting a party so a little heads up that we should have started the cake earlier would have been nice. I hate that we felt so rushed during the most important part of a birthday party. Overall, I probably wouldn't have another birthday party there again. The communication was awful and pretty much nobody got cake at the end of the party. Editing to add: my cake was out on the table the entire time. One of the coaches even commented on how cute it was, so she knew it was there an hadn't been served yet. At one point they told all the kids to go in for a snack so they could take down the bouncy house (also didn't know that you only get it for an hour, nobody told me). They didn't specify that this would be the time to have cake. Literally nobody told me anything at all they just directed the kids. Which is great! But whoever is hosting needs to be kept in the loop as well. read more

Smelled like a pet shop. The carpeted areas of the floor in the play area was covered with debris and animal hair. I don't know how or why but animals must have been there. The staff is nice but if they faked a little more enthusiasm I would have given 1 more star. read more

If I could rate this place -0 I would, I took my daughter there today for the first time for open gym we were in the neighborhood and just decided to stop by, first off the "instructors" or "teachers" wherever they call theirselves are hella rude if your a first time parent they won't even greet you no hi no hello no welcome nothing just rude mugging, they didn't even say hi to my daughter which was super excited to be there for the first time, instead of welcoming you and making you feel welcomed they watch you and come running to you with complaints about where to place your phone and car keys and where to put your drinks it was so ridiculous I've never been to a place with workers that unprofessional and RUDE, The ASIAN instructor I don't even know her name she ran to me aggressively to tell me I can't have a drink inside before even saying hello and introducing herself, it's a kid friendly place you would think the workers would have some type of personality and the other instruction I think she was Hispanic I'm not sure she was in there guiding the kids on what to do but didn't say HI once had a rude irritated look on her face the whole time didn't even try to be friendly to my toddler and had the nerve to tell me I can't put my stuff in a white bin that was unoccupied and empty, they seriously need training on how to treat people, I paid for 1 hour open gym and stayed for 25 minutes because of those two rude ladies who just made the whole experience uncomfortable oh and did I forget to mention we were the only BLACK family they were really nice to the white kids and parents but if your black save yourself the disappointment and take your kid somewhere else that they will be welcomed with open arms, as far as whoever is the business owner here please do better at picking better employees, btw the place stinks it smells like wet rugs no AC it's way too hot in there for them workers to have those type of attitudes literally like pick your poison a stinky place or workers with a stinky attitude. -0/5 stars, I hope the business owners sees this post! read more

We loved that this location had activities for my daughter's baby friends as well as her older cousins (up to age 5). I was hoping this place would be the answer to our rainy day boredom. For us, it's not even close. I took my almost 15 mo old here (after calling first to check if this place would be age appropriate). There wasn't much for her to do other than walk around on the gymnastic padding. I was also a bit nervous when the bigger kids were running around like crazy and not being careful of the smaller kids. My babe almost got knocked down many times, luckily I stayed right with her to keep her safe. There is a tiny and dark alcove with a changing table and some random toys for smaller kids but it is very dingy and lacking. I would maybe go back here in a few years since as the older kids did look like they were having lots of fun. Then, maybe it would be money well spent? I would caution parents of young toddlers, possibly not super safe and not an age appropriate activity at all. Was hoping they would have an indoor slide, swing, or ball pit area since they claim to be age appropriate for young toddlers and babies as young as 6mos. (Not true!) read more

Very hot inside! No air circulation... not good! Be warned, the time for a b-day party, needs to be monitored! The clueless staff had an agenda going, then wanted to 'add' time to our bill, because they didn't start the gift opening, until it was time to leave! We packed up and opened the gifts else where, as it is approx. $25 per 15 min. Disappointing. Also, make sure your party is the only one scheduled; I was told, "We've had 30 kids in here before, it will be fine!" Umm, NO! If I am paying $170 for 1.5 hrs, that gym is ours. Great for kids that can walk to the age of 8. This is membership based with a use charge. The gym has trampolines, zipline, uneven bars, climbing walls, and so much more. During stormy/cold weather, this place is packed so come early when they open. You must be there so don't just drop off your kids. I just had my sons 3rd birthday party here and will definitely not be returning. Although the place looked a little dirty and the air was humid and smelly the kids had fun jumping around and the teenagers who work there were great with the kids while they perform some games with them. Where things went bad was then the owner who I've only Spoken with over the phone with, never saw in person, walked into the room where we had cake, started to open the pizza boxes and started looking around. I had no idea who she was and she didn't even introduce her self and while me and my mom and husband had already started cleaning because I knew our time there was ending she told us we needed to hurry up and leave because the next party was here. We still had 10 to 15 minutes until the next party started but she was rushing us all out. She even asked how I was going to get rid of the party favors I had sitting on a table. Been wanting to try out the place so I decided to purchase their LivingSocial deal. The place was small and upon arrival for the open gym play time, a crowd suddenly shows up and the reception area was jam packed and overwhelmed with only 1 receptionist staff. I actually came here before during their open hours but there was a birthday party going on that day and the only staff was inside the gym with the kids and no one else that I could actually talk to to inquire about the classes. $8 fee to use the open gym for one hour with the parents doing their own thing with their kids is not a terrible price and my 4 yo enjoyed play there but they should really change the misleading wording "come in for an hour of FREE play in our open gym" on their website while what they really mean is $8 for non member and $5 for members while asked to clarify, which is fine but just be up front online. My friends were interested in trying the open gym but now I have to explain to them Junglegym does not mean "free" when they use the word "free" regarding open gym play. The place seems short staffed and the staff and owner don't seem to interact with the children and parents in a warm, friendly and engaging manner which is a bit disappointing for what's supposed to be a kid friendly place. Got a pretty cold reception using the LivingSocial coupon. It's supposed to be a promotional tool to draw in new customers for businesses but not sure if that's what the owner wanted. Jungle gym in Burien is ok if it's just the parents doing your own thing with their kids but I will be taking my kids elsewhere for martial art or gym classes where instructors are more experienced and truly care about the kids they provide services for. read more

The space is small but the equipment is pretty good. The owner and "instructors" are pretty terrible IMO. They don't have any clue how to really engage the children and they do inappropriate things like swing 18 month olds upside down by their ankles. The class would be better if it were just the parents running it, honestly. This place doesn't hold a candle to The Little Gym in Bellevue (where I took 3 different kids when I was a nanny, for many years) but it's the only option we have in the south end. Like I said, if you can just ignore the instructors and do your own thing with your kiddo it's fine, but I'm certainly not raving about their program. The ladies working were so sweet and really got along well with the kids and just were helpful all around.
