10 T E N WHOLE CHIPS is what Trey served us
    Jeff U.

Not good tonight Trey the waiter, please don't argue with customers like you did, and being dishonest is a bad look 10 T E N French fries/chips that's what he served us Then he lied and tried to play it off And they weee not hot We waited so long for food and other staff was bringing us drinks and Appetizer Other people who arrived after us got their fish meals Then we found out our fish was served before a couple who were there when we arrived ?!? Saw a plate with twice as many fries delivered after we ate so Trey, what really happened ? So this BS story about "Oh I just found out we are out of fries" and you don't tell customers until you drop plate and Try to run away hoping no one notices? Yeah It's fish and chips W/O the chips Trey it simply fish Really let down the way you acted Trey Ok with that said we were compensated fairly at bill time However, it shouldn't have gotten that far at all. Curry sauce was like water The bartender was hardest working guy in there We heard a lot of shouting coming from kitchen F bomb too So there were issues Not an experience I want to repeat

Pretty tasty food. Very typical bar experience with plenty of screens to watch sports. The two servers we had were definitely above average though! They were very friendly and helpful.

I came back--this time without my son--and once again, the experience was flawless. Service? 10/10. Food? 10/10. Beer? Also 10/10. I still grabbed my son's favorite fries to take home, but for myself, I went with the London Pride beer. I drink slow, but every sip was just as good as the first--smooth and delicious. Last time I ordered the bangers and mash (amazing), but this visit I went for the small fish and chips. I don't care for tartar sauce, so I kept the curry and smashed peas. The curry was flavorful and comforting, while the peas weren't really for me--I much prefer the whole peas that come with the bangers and mash. Those are a must-have! For dessert, I finally tried the sticky toffee pudding, and I'm mad at myself for not ordering it sooner. Absolute perfection. I believe Tim (forgive me if I'm wrong!) was the one who took my order and brought everything out--he was so kind, helpful, and just wonderful overall. I'll definitely be back on Sunday to finally try the Sunday roast!

    Scotch Egg

The scotch eggs were delicious and the sausage was tender. The egg cooked to perfection. The fish and chips were also very good. Well seasoned and tasted nice and fresh. Staff were super nice. I will for sure be back and I recommend checking the place out.

    Large English breakfast

We got here just in time to get their English breakfast (ends at 11, so get there early!) and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Traditional English breakfast. I got the small and my boyfriend got the large and it was perfect. We also got the scotch egg (forgot to take a picture of that) and it was delicious, nice and crispy outside, a little runny egg on the inside exactly how I like it. Since we got there early, we were 1 of 2 tables there and service was quick and friendly. Can't wait to go back for lunch to try the fish and chips.

This was a recommendation from my spouses co-worker that knows we love a great meal. Interior is a basic pub look, where you seat yourself. So if you're looking for fancy, this isn't it but don't be discouraged. The service was great and so was the food. I love a great fish and chip and theirs was well prepared and visually appealing. Just enough crisp and flavor and the proper size. I loved the wedge fries instead of traditional cut fries. We also had the linguini with salmon. Which was prepared well. Not too much going on in the pasta which was a plus but lacked no flavor. I'd definitely return but would skip the cocktails and just get a beer.

Fish And Chips with room temperature Kraft tartar sauce and 4 Fries
    Christina B.

Wow... what a massive disappointment. After paying $31 (before tax/tip/delivery, so a total of $45) for the fish & chips, what I received was an absolute joke and a massive disappointment. Besides the fish being soggy and barely fried, the fries - all 4 of them - while warm to the touch, were hard and cold on the inside and lacked any texture. Ok, so I popped everything in the oven for a bit. That fixed the fries, kind of. The fish, nope. It's like they fried it when it was too wet or had just been thawed, so it just leeched moisture back into the batter & there was no fixing it. The breading wouldn't crisp and just fell apart. The most egregious sin of all though, is that they are selling fish & chips at a British pub with ROOM TEMP KRAFT TARTAR SAUCE PACKETS you couldn't pay me to eat that! I am shocked that more people haven't called them out for this. What is authentic about that?? And for a $30 plate, really? You can't mix some mayo, dill, and relish together and call it homemade? Disappointing and disgusting. All in all, a huge waste of money. I was excited to finally try this place and man oh man, what a let down. I'd recommend a McDonald's filet of fish over this, it'll save you $25. But on a positive note, I guess this helps my diet since this meal was largely inedible.

Fish and chips meal with sauces. Including a delish curry sauce.
    Karla H.

Fish and chips meal. Atmosphere was very good. Good variety of food. Service was good. The food was good. I did not worry about the food being "bland" as others have mentioned. It's British fish and chips. It's bland. The sauces are what carries the food over the finish line. The fish and chips where not crispy. They look like they would be. But they are not. Which is fine. Price on the yelp app is $9.95. It was approximately $22 and some change. We did have sticker shock. But other than that. All good! Thanks Jerry for the great service.

I've been meaning to check this place out for awhile and finally did yesterday to watch the arsenal v liverpool game. The space is way bigger than I expected and they have a projector big screen and a decent amount of other tvs. Good selection of local craft beer with about 20 options...I had 2 guiness and my fiance had a paloma cocktail. They also have surprisingly good rare bourbon although I'm not sure how its priced. My buddy had bangers and mash and my fiance and I got a small fish and chips (still a lot of food) and preztels with beer cheese. All the food was pretty good and the servers and bartenders were friendly. I'll definitely be back!

We decided to come here for a late Sunday lunch. But first, I read through many of the post Covid reviews to see what my fellow yelpers had to say. The fish and chips seem to be the star of the show and if anyone leaves less than a three star review, Tim J, the business manager, will most likely rip you a new one lol. Having been raised by British parents and dined in the UK, to be honest, the food usually tends to be bland. The same could be said about British beer as they do not hop up the beers like they do here. As for this place, it's located in a modern strip center with some English illustrations on the walls. They do have a very good beer menu, but only one English beer and of course Guinness. They also have a great selection of tequilas and whiskeys. They have a QR menu, but they'll bring you a hardcopy if you want. We both opted for the fish and chips and it came out piping hot. You get 4 small containers of smashed peas, curry sauce, tarter sauce and ketchup with it. The potato wedges that come with it were clearly not previously frozen. You better come hungry if your gonna finish the full-size fish and chips. It's like an episode of "Man vs Food". They do have a decent selection of desserts, but we were pretty filled. Our server Dougan was welcoming, attentive and humorous. When it is time to settle up you can pay with the QR code or let them whisk away your credit card. This place has a lot going for it, which will have us coming back at some point.

    Bangers and Mash
    Kevin I.

Used Yelp to find an interesting place for lunch nearby and found this place. How did we miss it before? Our extended family are from the UK and we've been to the UK several times, so we know English pubs. During a late lunch it was fairly empty. The staff were super friendly and attentive. This does NOT happen in the UK where they completely ignore you. It's not rude there. Just the culture. It was nice to have English food AND service. The food: had the Scotch Egg, Bangers and Mash, and the Fish and Chips. Each were authentic and very, very tasty. The Banger gravy was incredibly rich and the portions are massive. Of note there is a huge beer selection and while I'm not into that, our family is and it is worth their time for craft beers. Overall it was a great experience and we'll be back for a proper UK assessment. I assume the nights get louder. After all, it's a pub.

The bar selection of Bourbons and Craft beer is intoxicating

Tim, any plans on doing some acoustic dampening? The place is awesome, but it a huge echo chamber that only half full is rather oppressive. Just acoustics tiles from the ceiling would make a huge difference in breaking up the noise. Thx!

At this moment as a small family owned and operated business we try to concentrate money in other ways to stay open. It is on our radar but not sure when that will be. I’m sorry

How about having sweet potato fries?

    They're not on the menu

Are dogs allowed on the patio? Thank you.

Yes they can be on the patio if they behave.

Please tell me this British pub shows EPL games?

    Yes we do.

Is this genuine British food or an American take on British food? As a Brit, I've been so disappointed by places in the past. Do they buy in British ingredients?

We have great British Dishes which include our fish and chips, our bangers are made just for us to a Cumberland style recipe by Hudson’s meats on south Congress as well as Stick toffee pudding, great tikka masala, and pie specials as and when we can.

I went to the bar and ordered (no wait staff at the tables). I ordered the Fish-n-Chips w/ a Pearl Snap, my date had the Biggy BBQ Mac Burger with a Dragon Fruit Daiquiri. For the positives: our drinks were very good, hard to mess up a draught beer, but it was not flat & just cold enough. She absolutely loved the daiquiri, side note- she's with me so standards aren't super high. Bar staff were super helpful and attentive, patio was very chill and secluded from the other spots surrounding it. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell like vomit. Negatives: My fish and chips were below expectations. Their grease was entirely too hot and it was flash fried causing the batter to be too crispy and the fish was piping hot. The selection of cod was not good either most of the pieces were blackened meat and the chips were crinkle cut fries, a letdown. I wasn't expecting a London level plate but it was a very sad and lonely one. Her burger was loaded with BBQ sauce and her mac-n-cheese balls were fried similarly causing the same burnt batter. It wasn't the worst meal I've had at a chain beer joint, looking at you Fox and Hound, but it wasn't close to the best. The Flying Saucer has a very good bar style fish and chips plate that costs about the same but they pay attention to the details that make it better. Overall I would not recommend and I will not be going back but in a pinch it won't make you sick.

The venue is clean, large open spaces, big drink menu so any beer and cocktail they got it. For me the location, how clean the inside and outside was, the fun factor is a solid 10/10. Great overall atmosphere. I will say the let down is some of the food items, it needs help. I only took pictures of the fish n chips meal but I ordered fried pickles, had a few wings, chips and dip, and egg rolls. The egg rolls are nice and crunchy, it had a corn and bean interior, nice warm with the extra crispy exterior. Good ranch dipping sauce. The wings are also good, crispy exterior nice fluffy chicken interior, it's not the best wings I've had but also not the worst. The flavor menu is a little short so you're not going to get a ton to choose from. The chips and salsa, the queso is amazing. Nice creamy, thick, cheese flavor, the salsa is nice and semi chunky. Both hold on to chips but the chips we got were ultra stale. I mean rock hard. We asked for new chips and luckily the new chips were fresh. The let down had to be the fish and chips. The batter was too thick, the batter also was still raw. The cod is nice and semi thick, still cooked all the way but since the batter was soo thick, it didn't have that crisp factor the crunchy flavor was gone, it didn't have the crispy exterior. In the pictures you'll see how thick it was. The waffle fries were ok, not the best not the worst just in the middle, still crispy but it was semi cold when we got them.
