Horrible service. Seating process was horrible empty seats were open for 20 minutes before someone came and seated us. Nobody moves with sense of urgency. Once seated took food forever to vine in a moderately slow night. Waitresses took our order and didn't come back to check how food was, if we needed anything or if refills were needed. My wife didn't receive a bucket or utensils for her crab bag. She had to get up 15 minutes after her bag was delivered to the table and get her own bucket and gloves. The worst service and food. Rice so gummy you could have thrown on the wall and it would stick and the blacken fish I got was to dryed out it was paper then. No substitutions on vegies. Also paid HIGH price for Lobster legs, and no CRACKERS available to use and then you want to charge for lemons that go with fish. We will never eat at this place again. HORRIBLE!!!!!!! read more

Food was good, but I will never go back. We ordered popcorn shrimp, 1/2 and 1/2 crab and pound of crab. Two teas and a Diet Coke. Popcorn shrimp came out 10 minutes before the rest of the order. When the rest of the meal came out, it was just the food. We asked for the cocktail sauce and when it was brought out it was a third of a tiny cup. Additional thirds were 1$ each. Had to flag our waiter down 5 minutes after the rest of the meal came to get the bucket for shells, gloves, and crab crackers. That took another 10 minutes before it was brought out. Now I have 15 minutes of my food starting to get cold, before we could start eating it. After that, I never saw waiter again. Never came back to ask if we needed refills on drinks or if everything was good. Had to flag them down just to get the check and then the tip started out at 18%. 18% is if you at least come by the table to check on us. 20% is if you have a better personality. I felt that the customer $2 tip was generous since I couldn't even get a refill on my drink due to turning your back on me every time you came near my table. The place was nice but seeing the other reviews about service at this place, don't think it will last long. read more

This was the worst experience ever. Sake was on the menu, but the waitress (Katie) told me she had no idea what it was and never said she could check, because she has been there the longest and no manger is on site. I suggested she go ask someone and she then came back and said they didn't have any...only for another to later tell me they had it but it costs $30 per bottle and she didn't want to offer it. ‍. First time visiting this place the food was pretty good right away. We had a garlic noodle shrimp dish very good then we had a crab boil Alaskan king crab potatoes, corn sausage everything was delicious spicy would definitely come back here again. The guy that served us was on point he knew all the secret menu stuff Really helped us out. The vibe was great for a Sunday night wasn't too busy. If overpriced plastic bags and paper cups are your idea of fine dining, this is the place for you. Drinks were offered before seating, the server didn't introduce herself, and the menu was very limited. The seafood boil came in plastic bags with a few sad slices of sausage and barely any sauce--the sauce tasted more like ketchup. Crawfish and shrimp were just as disappointing. I ordered onion rings and asked for extra sauce--I couldn't see the tiny portion being adequate for 10 onion rings. At this rate, this eatery won't last long, or they'll continue to struggle with high employee turnover. I'll be visiting Mr. Cajun & Nimp's Daiquiris to go--their portions actually match the price. The food was awesome. The boil was delicious with amazing flavor. The problem was the service. There were three women behind the bar just laughing on their phonea while one guy took all the orders and ran all the food. When we walked into the reataurant there were 16 tables that needed to be cleaned off, which in a place like that where the food is poored on the table is kinda gnarly. Once we got our foos i went up t the counter to ask for lemon wedges and butter. She said she would bring it to our table never got it. And then we finished and we waited and waited. Finally i had to go up to.the counter to pay. The only reason this is getting any stars is because it tasted so good. Dont go around 5:30 on sunday. Not worth it. read more

My family and I were excited to try this new business in Mesquite! We walked in to a sign that read "please wait to be seated". We waited, waited and waited...no one came to seat us so my daughter approached a staff member that told us to seat ourselves and sit anywhere so we did. There was no acknowledgment of our presence and I know we were seen because my family is very tall, the staff just kept walking by like we weren't standing there! After seating ourselves a waitress came asking us to move but we told her we were told to sit anywhere (later found out this was the manager) so she said I guess you're okay?!! We decided to leave shortly after. I asked who was the manager and was ignored by two employees until I asked again then I explained our experience to the manager but not sure if she cared. She did agree we should have been greeted upon arriving but that didn't happen. No apology and it wasn't even very many customers there to use the excuse of being busy! Would like to start by saying we have been to this location a couple times, food and atmosphere are good, we frequent the garland location (only about 17 mins from this one) because it is close to home. Tonight we came here because we were out shopping in mesquite. I usually get king crab and I am aware of market pricing. however tonight the waiter told us it was $135 pp which I thought was kinda crazy but decided to stay anyway since we already got our drinks etc. We ate paid our bill and just out of curiosity I called the garland location to find out it was $69 pp which is about what we normally pay so I'm a bit lost how it can be so different and double the cost, and if so I suppose going forward we may need to call the different locations to see if their market prices are any different. The only reason this place may have a few good reviews is because they give you a free appetizer if you make one on the spot. The staff was not all nice, they were very slow and I guess were too busy on their phones to answer basic questions and assist customers. My crab legs looked dirty, and seemed like they weren't even cleaned prior to being cooked, as they came with twig like particles (as pictured). The legs were cold to the touch and had a very fishy odor, almost like an ammonia smell to them. As for the corn and potatoes, just avoid this place unless you like microwaved food that comes with a bonus of food poisoning. read more

My dad went in to order take out, he ordered the combo shrimp and 2 pounds extra. He order extra corn and potatoes but when he arrived home I checked and the extra corn and potatoes were missing. I called and had an UNPLEASANT experience. I was transferred to speak with the manager. She told me that because he "checked" the bags that were given to him they are no longer responsible. I added that if it is expected for him to layout his bags of shrimp and count each and every corn and potato. She proceeded to tell me "yes" I never leave reviews but her way of handling this inconvenience was completely unprofessional. Save your time and money and make the drive to The Boiling Crab.
