The first time I came, I felt an incredible sense of peace. Nice selection of crystals. However this time I was speaking with the owner (Deborah) and discovered she is very transphobic. I tried to politely leave but she insisted on continuing. She held on to my debit card as she ranted, leaving me feeling trapped. Honestly, I would have liked to return my items but I was so disgusted and flustered that I left as soon as could. She claims to be open and considerate of all sexualities and peoples but said trans folks are "deceitful" and lying to you. On top of that, she made several condescending comments, eyed me like a hawk while I was browsing, and chatted with a friend (coworker possibly?) while that person hung inside the doorway smoking a cigarette, allowing the smoke to waft into the small shop. Went here during January when they don't have everything fully stocked and I was still impressed with inventory. Rudraksha beads in my experience are hard to come by and they had quite a few!! There were crystals, jewelry, tarot cards, books, decor, ingredients for spells, and much more!! Even random cool stuff like a stamp and wax so you can press your own wax stamp! The gentlemen was very friendly and had super good vibes. The woman seems irritated but you could tell it was her thing and she didn't omit any bad vibes just seemed a little sticky. read more

I came into The Labyrinth with my husband and right away felt a sense of down to earth-ness and friendliness. The store has a decent book selection (more than most I've been to) that focus on developing your practice. There is a good variety of items to help you in your craft regardless of your Pantheon. The prices were fair and they spent time chatting with us and were so welcome. There were even patrons in the shop that were super friendly. Most of the items support a Wiccan practice but there is a lot for everyone. Although I haven't been to any classes, they seem to have a very good selection and were most welcoming to us to attend. read more

I am giving this a 2 star "I've experienced better" rating because I *have* experienced better... but not by this place. Although I am seriously tempted to rate this a 1. First time in the store to see what holistic goodies they had, as well as some gifts for the friends that are in to metaphysics. From the absolute second I stepped into The Labyrinth, I was demanded (to use the term lightly "barked") at by the woman behind the counter, to be helped out. She was in some negative mood, and I seemed to be impeding on it - like the lights were off, they were closed, and here I am, trying to break in the store. Which wasn't even the case. She rudely asked me if I needed help and I politely thanked her, saying I wanted to browse around as it was my first time in. I was given another rude "then if you have questions, ask" remark. I thanked her and perused the store, taking my time to see what's what. The store is laid out nicely, however, things are a little pricey. I like holistic places. In fact, I frequented a few up north quite a lot. I don't remember the prices on some of the crystals being too expensive. They actually have neat little palm sized items that I kept going back to, but because $35 for a 4 inch little fairy statue was kind of out of my price range, it's hard to justify buying it to mail to a friend. While I was walking around, the woman received a phone call and insisted on taking it and talking very loudly. She kept going on about wanting to hire some of the people she contracts out, especially if that provides her a day off. It was just a bad conversation that really wasn't the time or place to be having with customers around. She seemed very agitated by whatever personnel problems had risen. As the phone call continued, another customer came in, and I got the feeling the woman was watching me to make sure I wasn't about to do a five finger discount. There's a sign there - "You buy it, it's blessed. You steal it, it's cursed". Great way to tell people about shoplifters, but don't make them feel like the second they stop to look at something in detail, you think they're going to steal the product. She had put her call on hold, to again, rudely ask me if I needed help. No thanks, I'm still looking. Mind you, I had some stuff already in my hands to buy, and (again, for lack of a better word, "pestering") wasn't helping me want to buy any of it. The woman got off the phone eventually and the other customer that was wandering around had questions about readings. The woman said she "can't right now. I'm waiting on her" and pointed to me. Again, like I'm about to start stealing everything that could fit in my pockets. So I put everything back that I had picked up and headed for the door. As I was leaving, the woman asked me if I wanted a calendar of events, and I said "no thanks" and walked out. Overall, this experience could have been made a hell of a lot better if the woman were in a better mood. Sure, people are entitled to be grouchy, but there's a line you cross in retail that makes your first time customers not become frequent customers. Will I return? Seriously doubtful. read more

Deb is dead on. She knew the minute I sat down that I had lost someone. Side note..I was smiling, no red eyes from crying. I found her readings to be straight forward. She said my husband was worried about my dog who I had to give away after he died. Not too long after my reading did my friend notice my dog was looking up and something she couldn't see and wagging her tail. Coincidence? Won't take a credit card for less than $10, so rather than ask if I'd like to buy something else to bring a higher sale, she gritted her teeth not even wanting to deal with me. Totally her Loss With all if the other shops in town, 'casa shanti', 'so mote it be', 'manna', to name just a few, with totally delightful people working in each, I'd give labyrinth a big pass. read more

Deborah, is something else. I don't know where to start but I love her for sharing her gift. I'm Christian and I feel in my heart & soul it's not a dark thing to do. It's light and beautiful to have guidance now and then and just like she says all the time 'this is not in stone you can change things.' Spot on, quick, blunt, and always makes me feel like I'm on the right track. Her rate is so low I don't know how she does it. If you look back in time and do some research you will see the value of crystals, healers, astrology, cards were an everyday necessity. Even governments have used parapsychology. I guess the only thing now to read reviews for is to see if she's real. She is the real deal. read more

I have shopped at the Labyrinth several times . They have a great selection of books, candles , and spiritual items. They have a large offering of classes to choose from. I have attended the Intro to Wicca class, and found it to be very informative and helpful. I am going to sign up for the December Reiki level 1 class. The owner and staff are very helpful , and always take the time to spend with customers to answer questions. This is my favorite shop in Florida and I recommend any who has spiritual needs to stop by and check them out. read more

This place is terrible... You'd have to be absolutely dim to want to spend more than a moment in the store. The owner has a major attitude problem, she claims it's because "she's from New York" but my entire family is from New York and I know that's bullshit. She gave me a decently accurate tarot reading, but I think she's tired of dealing with people. She needs to hire someone to manage the store and stay out of it. Customer service is terrible, and I've been supporting this store begrudgingly for a year because I didn't have anywhere else to go. Now I go to the curious cauldrons or mystical moon. Looking back I can't believe I purchased anything from this store. She has a huge Raven statue overlooking the store and she says it "soaks up all the negativity" yeah right lady, the only negativity in your store is you. read more

Such an unpleasant experience. I went into this store with a friend of mine who was looking for a gift for someone and the lady working was EXTREMELY rude all because I was using my phone (texting my fiancé who happens to live another country, I wasn't actually TALKING on the phone). She proceeded to talk shit about me indirectly until I left. She then kept talking shit after I walked out and then tried to apologize to my friend for how she acted. All she did the entire time I was in that store was run her mouth negatively about people. She lost a big sale from me and now I will make my purchase on Amazon. Nice store with decent products, but was very disappointed and put off by the person working. They were talking to other customers loudly, cussing the entire time and never asked me if i needed help. You don't even have to go into this store to get the hostile vibes. I called to inquire regarding this business....and got the business. Rude, nasty, oozing hostility. I will NEVER come back. The shop itself was cute. There are some better shops in the area but overall not a bad selection. However, the woman who was working was terrible. She started going on a rant about having diarrhea and a UTI and how she has "problems with all her holes". She continued with a long rant about hating doctors and is pissed she has to go to urgent care and refuses to go. Anyway. I pick out an item to purchase and go to pay and leave.. I stood at the counter for at least 10 minutes while she tried to take a picture of her insurance card for the doctor. All while complaining about he doctor and the pictures are blurry. It was the worst experience ever. I just wanted to pay and get out. To top it off, I was with a friend who just came in with me. He isn't super interested in this sort of stuff. As we leave she says she has stuff for christians if he is Christian and how she doesn't carry items for the islamic religion, and she doesn't support satanists and agnostics. Honestly. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I will never recommend this place and I will never go back. read more

This was a great little find on our road trip to Ft. Myers! We ended up purchasing a talking board but could've spent so much more money!!
