Everything!! What I thought would be my dream house, has turned into a nightmare of a money pit. I have been here two weeks. When I first came here to look, I was told the monthly rent would be $850. Every time I spoke with the salesman who sold me the house I made notes I was told several times $850. Upon closing day, it became $875. After moving in, I didn't have hot water. I took 3 ice cold showers but after that I just couldn't. I had to even cancel an appointment because I couldn't shower to go to my appointment. There are no towel bars in the bathrooms. You have to keep your bath towels and hand towels either in the sink bowl or throw them on the floor. It has just been one problem after another. They promote a stress free life here. I have never been so upset and stressed out in my entire life! I would NOT recommend moving here!!! read more

My experience with Lakeshore apartments in the past was not good. I have had so many bad experiences in the past. I have seen so many managers n asst. managers come n go so quickly. Well, now we have a manager that is great. She knows what she is doing n we feel safe now when the last manger stated we were not qualified for this apartment while we were paying rent for months This was frightening n I didn't want to say anything to my husband because he had just had heart surgery. Thank GOD, Ashley came alone n saved us . She is the kindest and patient young lady who is doing a phenomenal job with straightening up the mess that was made by previous staffs. I pray that we will keep her for a long long time. It is a blessing to welcome her.Also we have a great maintenance man who works so hard n has fulfilled our needs in a timely manner. We love you so much Frank. Please keep the good work up after beng here for awhile. Before you we didn't keep a maintenance man very long. My husband and I r so thrilled with the two of you. I've lived here for almost 3 years and it's been one of the worst places I've ever lived in. The constant changes in employees in the front office has been extremely difficult for anything to get resolved for tenants who have been here for a while. One MAJOR thing they do not disclose before signing, is the parking for this complex. It's horrible and if you're not home at the latest by 7pm, you will literally be sitting out in your car waiting for a parking spot to be available. You have several people who pay for a garage parking spot or a carport and still choose to park in general parking. It's understandable if you have a visitor or a guest and you're having them park in your designated parking spot while you're in general parking. However, if you're just taking a general parking spot away from other tenants without having anyone visit is wrong. Especially if your a tenant that already knows how the parking is here. Some fair housing laws restrict the office to specifically tell a tenant not to park in general parking, but the least thing the office can do is send a notice out to all the tenants explaining the parking situation and tips on how to create more available parking. This complex also has a new towing company who has yet to even show up to do their job here. We now have parking permits, but that has not resolved any of the parking issues. There's multiple vehicles that have inspections out and have yet to move for several months. Furthermore, One of my biggest issues living here, is that we have been constantly harassed by a specific neighbor. Who chooses to call the cops and makes false police reports. Thankfully, each time police arrive they realize what is being reported is not going on. I've informed the office several times about this ongoing issue not only with Mr. Don Moore but with Ms. Francis and Mr. Ron. All who were previous employers here. I was promised to be a priority for a transfer to another unit when problems begin to arise with this neighbor. It's been almost 2 years and I'm still waiting to transfer into another unit. Yet the office is quickly contracting people to live in the units available without making their tenants a priority. I have written several emails to management and I'm at a point where I'm having to do a Google review in hopes of actually being heard about these issues. Being a previous realtor and lease manager myself, some of the things that go on in this apartment complex have been incredibly shocking. None of the current or previous employees do walk-throughs to assess the issues that go on in this complex. You have tenants letting their dogs piss on peoples vehicles, or letting them defecate on the sidewalks leaving feces there. You have several people smoking cigarettes or marijuana in their units and you can smell it through the vents or when you're just passing by. Although this apartment complex offers nice units, it comes with a lot of baggage that limits you to properly live comfortably. I do not recommend anyone to live here. Lastly, rental increases are around $100-$150 each year. I understand trying to reach market value but increases like that each year are tough. I started out at $1225 and currently pay $1409 for a one bedroom not including water or extra utilities. read more

Don't move here. It's horrible and overpriced. You get charged a fee to be connected to the water service. The people in the leasing office never answer the phone or reply to emails. read more

Update: ummm, very unprofessional, leaving notes on my car after changing my liscense plate telling me if I don't go to the management office asap they'd tow me? Well y'all I lived here 6 months $3,000 and I can't even park in the front of my tenant without feeling attacked ? No one should be expected to live at the standard when management damn well knew the truck belonged to me. This is the worse place to live besides their nice floors this place is really not the place you need to live. I asked many tenants how they feel and they would agree, no one should give these people 1000, a month to live here go else where especially if you care for your family. read more

This is the worst place I have ever lived. There is constant change over in management. I moved from CA 2 years ago, when we got to our unit it was filthy, very disgusting washer and dryer were so gross, when I said something I got an apology but nothing was done so I had to clean it myself. My floor in the hallway was sinking, mind you they had two weeks to fix it before my furniture arrived, they did not and decided that I had to move to another apartment that was gross. I paid for a parking space for 6 months came out one day and my car was gone, it had been towed and my spot was given to another tenant. They then gave me a garage for the same price and then a few months later I got a notice on my garage door that my car was going to be towed because it wasn't registered (it was).. there was a lot of problems with management, I work from home and my upstairs neighbors were horrible to say the least I complained 6 times and it never stopped, from 6am till after midnight!. I finally bought a home and asked to get out of my lease for 1 month and they denied it so I had to pay rent and a mortgage. They will not work with you at all. After everything I went through that was the least they could do. My son also moved into a unit with major problems and nothing was ever taken care of even though it was in writing, his carpet was disgusting and then they decided to go into his unit when he wasn't home, clean the carpet. His dog was home and was terrified as they continued to clean it, my son walked in while they were cleaning and was beyond angry as they did not have permission. It was very hard trying to move into a place without seeing it other than pictures because of moving from CA. We thought we were moving into a beautiful apartment based on the website. These are just a few of the problems we had. If you are considering moving to Lakeshore I would reconsider they are horrible! read more

I've lived here for a year now and I truly love it. I like how it is a small apartment complex unlike the huge ones. My biggest thing is I have children and didn't want to move Into a party apartment complex. It is very quiet and I really love everyone here! read more

Gate has been broken for a month. Can't seem to fix a basic light outside. Also, apparently now there is a new policy that guest can't park inside the gated property. Which means there are 5 "guest" spots for 140 units. Oh, and those spots are also the leasing office parking. So that means you can't have guests during business hours. Towing company took 2 hours to remove someone from my paid covered parking spot. This is why parking needs to be actively monitored. Also, management says in response that communication is top priority. That couldn't be more false. Front gate has been broken for over a week. This apparently also means you cannot get into fitness center with keyfob. Management did not think that was worth communicating with residents. They are "waiting on proposal" to get it fixed with no ETA. This should have been communicated to residents as soon as it happens. Apparently you can send 3 emails about a tornado with wrong information, but you can't bother to send one about amenities being unavailable or that you're working to get gate resolved. Maintenance: Requests take extremely long to get completed. If it is anything above a basic level that I could do myself, they need to call a contractor. We have a flood light outside of our apartment that we put a support request in on over 3 months ago and still no fix. Tickets will get closed without resolution. Currently there is a broken gate at the back of the property that backs onto a neighborhood. We had 2 huge dogs running around the property unleashed that had come through that gate, I put in request 2 weeks ago, then it broke further, now it's completely off the hinges and laying on the ground. Why hasn't it been fixed? Because they need a contractor because maintanence guy is no longer with them. There have been at least 3 maintenance guys in the 7 months we've been here. Leasing: The entire leasing staff, management included, is terrible at communication. When we moved in, they didn't record all of our deposits correctly so we had to prove we paid the right amount. They gave us a covered parking spot that was assigned to someone else. Then we were told to come back in a couple days later to get new stickers for a different spot and everything would be ready to go. When we came in, assistant manager didn't know what was going on. Once we finally explained what was going on, she printed stickers that were unreadable because there printer was out of toner and no one had bothered to order it ahead of time or call us to say that the stickers wouldn't be ready. Also very high turnover in office.They've used many temporary workers and had help from others coming in. Because of this no one ever knows what is going on. They also violated federal law by placing apartment communications inside of our mailboxes. Parking: If you live here, you will need covered parking or a garage. We knew this before moving in and planned accordingly. However, the community does not actively enforce parking. What's the point of having a gated community with parking stickers, if there isn't a towing company that actively monitors parking? People constantly parking in places that are not real spaces and blocking handicap spots, but still no patrol. Pets: The dog park is a joke. There was a broken light pole with broken glass in the park for weeks. Constantly trash and poop everywhere on property that no one cleans up that my dogs are naturally interested in. People also constantly have their dogs off of leashes. read more

Worst apartments I've ever visited!!! My sister lives here and we can never visit her because there is no where to park. Visitors can't park inside the gates so the tell you to park in the "visitor" section which is a joke because there are only 5 parking spots for the whole apartment community!!! If we want to visit them, they have to pick us up and then drop us off! They have plenty of parking since most of them have a car port well... surprise surprise... you can't use them unless you pay for them... so this just shows me they are money hungry and do not care one bit about their tenants. Oh and the towing company they use are even worse! So if you are thinking about moving here I would tell you to reconsider and go somewhere else! read more

This is the worst apartment complex I've ever witnessed. I've been living here a almost a year and pay for covered parking at the exact same spot every month. This morning I woke up to my car towed. I asked why my car was towed out of my paid parking spot 10 months of me being here. There response was sorry we towed your car on accident. Are you kidding me!?!? If I could give 0 stars I would. We have been living here almost a year, we have been renting a covered spot as well. This morning we come out to our car towed, response from the office was sorry it was done by mistake. Seriously we have used that spot for almost a year a tow guy walks the apartments every night and has never towed it before. Why now that we are leaving early that it is all of sudden towed! As well as the front gate is always broke so you're not even living in a gated apartment, you can't have guests bc parking is terrible. Your guests can park outside of the gates if there is a spot but they have to register there car or it will get towed. Do not move here! read more

The worst apartments ever. I live here, Parking is the worst I can confirm that. Visitors need to park outside the gate and there are literally 4 spots. Has to be a city code violation. They must also be getting a kick back from the towing service cause they are in here towing cars all the time. Save yourself the heartache and frustration. Not worth the trouble. read more

We are extremely disappointed with the level of customer service (or lack there of) from the manager and assistant manager of the Lakeshore Apartment complex. After an already frustrating night due to the alternator going out on my vehicle, I borrowed a car so I could get to work the next day. I woke up to find the car missing from the parking lot. The apartment office gave me a number to call for the tow truck company. Apparently, it was towed because it didn't have an apartment sticker. After speaking to the towing company, I found that the apartment complex contracts them out and the car was only there 3 hours before being towed. I got home at 11:00 pm and it was towed at 2:00 am. We explained our frustration of paying $250 for towing to the apartment complex managers who had a very "that sucks for you" attitude. We asked how is that keeping people safe by allowing tow trucks in the gated community at 2 am. The assistant manager said, "How is it not?" Is he serious? Have they run background checks on these drivers? They said we should have registered the vehicle online as a guest. I asked where to park when I come home late from work and there is no parking, even though I have a parking sticker. They said you can take your chance parking in a carport but could get towed since you don't have a carport sticker. I guess they don't think providing parking for their residents is their responsibility. It's too bad they aren't genuinely wanting to hear concerns and resolve any issues.
