As a vegetarian, I would never have thought a steakhouse could fulfill my post-work, post-work out fuel, but I was so pleasantly surprised I would definitely come back again! The truffle mac-and-cheese is super decadent and the steamed seasonal veggies are absolutely not what you'd expect (bland, oversalted), but have a crunch, retained their color and have the perfect amount of seasoning. I have NEVER wanted to order steamed veggies at a restaurant but am so happy I trusted them and got that option. Bordeaux pairs nicely with both, and just the two sides made my dinner with leftovers to take home (to my hotel room!). Ps, the Jalapeno bread is out of this world. I have to start by giving a huge shoutout to Dustin--his service was simply top-notch and truly transformed our dining experience into something fabulous! I've visited countless prime rib spots, but this one confidently stands at the top, all thanks to Dustin's exceptional attention to detail. The dining room ambiance is very intimate and provides a wonderful dining experience. The wine selection is fantastic, and I was thrilled to find Blanton's Gold on the menu--how often do you come across that? When it came to the main event, we ordered the English cut prime rib, which was nothing short of spectacular! It was cooked to absolute perfection--so flavorful and paired seamlessly with the creamy mashed potatoes. And oh, don't even get me started on dessert! We made a reservation for Thanksgiving which was a buffet. The food was plentiful and included breakfast and traditional holiday food. Service was attentive and friendly. The ambience is mixed depending on where you sit. In the library bar it seemed more intimate and relaxed. We were in the ballroom and there were several large parties and families with children near us. The rowdy kids were a bit much for a buffet at a high end hotel. Maybe worth a call to ask to be sat in more intimate area if that's a concern for you. We'd return for a drink in the bar but don't feel the need to eat here again even though the food itself was good. read more

We were greeted by the best part of the evening: Dovie, the hostess at the Landmark. Dovie was lovely, gave us a great table, and started our drinks service. Anthony was our waiter, and he was less than attentive. He was apparently, maybe, the only waiter working every table. He apologized once and then never came back to attend to us except to present us with the bill at the end of the evening. We decided to go with the prime rib, as the Landmark is known for it. It was very bad. First, the cart that is supposed to be wheeled and you receive table service just doesn't happen. Second, the prime rib is sliced so thin and topped with mashed potatoes. To keep it from drying out, they basically drown it in gravy, which sadly isn't even hot enough to keep the meat warm for more than 2 minutes. It was a sad, soupy, soggy, cold plate in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, my daughter's prime rib had a bone in it and was overwhelmed with rosemary, which neither my husband nor I had on our plate. The creme brulle was grainy and warm, and the sugar topping was thick. We were hoping dessert would save the meal, but it didn't The ONLY good part of the meal was Dovie. She was attentive and tried to make sure we were taken care of even though Anthony did not provide absolute attentive service. I just had a lovely dinner with my daughter at this restaurant. I want to commend the wait staff, especially the hostess. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name. She made the experience so memorable that I would come back just to have her greet us again. She was very impressionable, engaging, and astute. The food was fine. We had the Blackened Verlasso Salmon; my daughter had the Creamy Crab Bisque; and I had the East Coast Crab Cake and split the dessert, caramel ice cream/brownie. They say the service can make or break a restaurant, no matter how good the food is, and I have to say the wait staff and hostess were on their game, making the experience memorable. read more

The Prime Rib is served from a closed cart in the dining room. You can inspect the roast and carving sizes before you order. Both the "Dallas" cut and the "English" were generous and delicious as were the garlic mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was cooked and prepared just right for us. The Prime Rib dinner also includes a choice of a Melrose or Caesar Salad. We chose the Melrose and it was wonderful. Our server, Dustin, was professional, friendly, and attentive - perfect. He chose a lovely wine to accompany our meal. The chef stopped by our table to check on us and the Maitre'd, Dovie made sure we were happy. As we left the Melrose Hotel, LaVeta on the front desk also asked about our restaurant experience. Everyone was thoughtfully engaged, not just phoning it in. My husband and I visited this weekend for our anniversary and were instantly greeted with a smile. I started with the espresso martini which was a true treat. We sampled several appetizers from the mushrooms, shrimp, and my favorite the crustini, that one is a must try! I had the seabass with broccolini and it was one of the best I'd ever eaten. My husband had the filet mignon and raved about it. We ate here two nights ago, during our stay at the Warwick Melrose in Dallas. We had a wonderful happy hour in the bar (served by a gracious lady named Margarita). After our friends left, we decided to try the hotel restaurant called The Landmark. All too often, a hotel restaurant can be underwhelming....not this time! The menu had some wonderful options including various cuts of prime rib. We tried the prime rib and the Sea Bass; both were excellent! The sides were delicious too, you can't go wrong. Our waiter was Dustin and he did a fabulous job. We entered the restaurant around 9:00 that night.....it was a long happy hour.....so our meal lasted a bit after 10:00....The Landmark's closing time. We were not rushed to finish but the staff needed to clean up and we left the restaurant around 10:10. So glad we decided to dine here. We highly recommend this restaurant. Went here for a girl's dinner night and it was really yummy. I got the prime rib and ordered medium well, though I wish I would have ordered medium or medium rare. I loved the presentation they give of how it goes from the smoker to the table. My friend ordered the filet and said it was yummy. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the Creamy Crab Bisque because that was my absolute favorite part. Delicious! We were celebrating a birthday with 17 people in the private dining room. The waitress was great and kept up with us as much as she could. However the kitchen did not follow directions on how the steak needed to be cooked. There were two of us that ordered our steaks medium rare but received medium well. By the time they took the steaks back and in the process of making a new one everyone at the table done eating. I had to eventually talk to the manager and canceled the steak. Needless to say we were still hungry when we left. Also the crab cakes are dry and not worth the money. This was supposed to be a fun celebration but the experience here ruined it. read more

My best friend and I were visiting from NYC last weekend and prime rib is my absolute favorite meal, so we wanted to seek out something special for dinner. The hospitality was incredible- the team was flexible with reservation time and we felt super at-home with Dustin and Chef Phil. The lovely classic prime rib place is located in the beautiful Warwick hotel. The staff is ridiculously friendly. At times a little slow but not offensively slow. The martini was a hit!
