I have had a very good experience with this center. All of the staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Even though this clinic is not in a hospital, they were very accommodating, bringing me water, updating my prescriptions, and offering me something soft to cuddle during the surgery itself (I was feeling anxious). My vision on my day after check up was 20/20, so I'm happy)! I didn't spend a lot of time with to doc before hand, and the surgery was fairly quick process but that doesn't really matter to me because he did a great job! I highly recommend lasik surgery with this office to anyone. James or Dana are great to work with as well. Dr. Abrams did my eyes. Thank yous to the entire team from the front desk, to the kind nurses who helped, I wish I'd caught the name of the nurses who assisted the doc. Anyway, I had won $1,000 off from a raffle I had entered in Phoenix at the Raceway before they changed their name. I was finally able to cash that in, but it was still extremely expensive which is why I'm docking a star, as well as the fact that the initial appointment was 2.5 hours, and I was not warned in advance and had my whole family waiting for me, which had to be annoying for everyone involved. The only other reason is that I had to update my phone number 3 times before it was updated properly. I would blame the corporate, except I had the correct info written into their forms and that wasn't ever corrected either. anyway, thats so small, these people are super competent and want to help! I am excited about my "new" eyes! Bye bye glasses!! * pics are of the 3rd waiting room that you go into to wait for the actual surgery. That room they called "the theatre" and they have a couple movies you can pick from :) Overall great experience.

I hands down recommend Lasik Vision Institute to anyone interested in getting 20/20 vision! I initially went in to "window shop". I wanted to see if I even qualified for lasik since I had both myopia and astigmatism ranging in the -4 range. The consultation was quick and easy. You go in and do an eye exam and right afterwards they inform you whether you qualified for lasik or PRK. Due to my dry eyes and thin corneas I didn't qualify for lasik but I did for PRK. They go over everything that one day. They answered questions about the whole procedure and the price and different forms of payment. I used Groupon to get 1,000 off so my total came down to $2,998 ( give or take a dollar). A day before the surgery I had to get my eyes dilated to make sure everything was okay for the surgery the following day. The day of the surgery I had my husband take me. I was super nervous. Good thing they prescribed a pill for the nerves. The whole procedure took half an hour. The actual procedure was maybe 10 minutes. PRK is a little different than lasik. The recovery part is a lot longer. The first 3 days my eyes burned and I was SUPER sensitive to the light. I mostly stayed in my room with all the lights and curtains closed wearing my sunglasses indoors. I wasn't able to watch TV or my phone or laptop due to my eyes being very sensitive for maybe 2 weeks without getting a headache if i was on them for more than 15 minutes. I still wasn't able to drive after one week because my eyesight was still blurry. My husband took me to my one week checkup appointment due to this. I feel my recovery was a lot longer than most. I'm not going to lie, the first week was the worst. I would recomend ice packs and taking pain killers. I am currently one month post surgery and I can honestly say it was worth the pain. I still touch my nose as if I'm pushing my glasses up and I still keep thinking I need to go remove my contacts. I've had glasses since I was 6 and it's all I had known. Being able to wake up and my first instinct not be to grab my glasses feels freaking awesome. I actually look at the sunglasses when walking at the store. I can apply eye makeup without my glasses covering up my hard worked winged eyeliner. If you are reading this go in for the free consultation. There is no commitment or anything.

Horrible service. Went to the ER and waited 5 hours not to be seen, I would recommend a hospital that's put together

Abrams was great, explaining everything he was going to do, and counting down how many seconds until each eye was done.

At my yearly eye exam, I was told that I had some issues with my right eye and my Optometrist…read morereferred me to Retina Associates on North Oracle Road in Tucson. I called for an appointment and was given a date and time 2 weeks away, with Dr. Wong. Walking in, the waiting area is huge. There were 3 other people there. I was checked in and waited about 10 minutes before Jasmine called my name. Jasmine took me to a small room and numbed my eyes for a glaucoma check, then dilated my eyes for the exam. She was very thorough in her questions and was really nice. I was nervous and she understood that and explained everything that she did, and that was going to be done, to me. Once the intake process was completed, she took me to have "pictures" taken of both eyes. I was then directed to another waiting room, in case more "pictures" were needed, and they were needed. I waited less than 5 minutes in that waiting room. After that, I was taken to an examination room. A Resident came in and asked if he could look at my eye. He asked a lot of good questions while checking out my eye. Then Dr. Wong came in. The first thing he did was ask me if I had any questions. He then explained what my condition is. He did an extremely thorough exam, one that I'd never had done before. He showed me the pictures on the monitor and explained them. He acted as if he had all the time I needed. He never rushed me and was very patient with me. At the end, he again asked if I had questions. He answered every question in a way I understood. The whole process took less than 90 minutes. I go back in 6 months for a check up. I have full confidence in Retina Associates and Dr. Wong. If I do end up needing surgery, I'm sure my issue will be corrected by Dr. Wong.

Absolutely the poorest experience I've ever had at a medical office. Had to go twice for different…read moreappointments. Follow up months later looking to pay them in full. Paid them and then they still send bills months later. Can't say I'd ever recommend this office. Hard to reach, overall incompetent. There's better options.
