Every different place I've tried seemed to be tap to pay unlike San Antonio which is great buttt the other business I've tried, either the tap the pay didn't work or they charged over $7 to wash. So I've been trying to find somewhere where the tap to pay work and where it's not super expensive. I decided to try this out as they have tap to pay which worked and they have the laundry card for purchase option as well as quarters. I used the 2.25 wager with my Apple Cash and it charged me $15 for the washer. I was like ahmmmm what?? So I went to the attendant to get a number to make a complaint and she pointed out it's a pre authorization charge. I decided to just buy a laundry card from the machine and load money onto the card because who wants to have a $15 charge on their card for every machine. I used 2 washers but used the load ale card on the second one because I didn't want another $15 Hold, you then still have the dryers which again they'll charge another $15. Just seems excessive. Because it's not like it's going to be one charge of $15 because how will each machine or your card know you've already have a pre authorization on it With the loadable card theirs no hold. But when you do purchase one they take couple dollars for a fee. Loaded 10 and it had only $8 and some change once I used. Smallest washer price: 2.25 (didn't look at the other washers for the prices) Dryers: 2:25 $15 hold if you tap to pay or use your card Loadable card available for purchase ( best option) Included some photos

When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

The service I use includes washing. drying and folding. I have some items that I like to air-dry. I simply put those dirty items on hangers and they are returned the same way (cleaned, of course) so I can continue to air dry at home. I sent the laundry out in the linen liner from my hamper. It came back laundered as well. Laundry is returned in a sturdy and safe NoScrubs labeled laundry bag for future use. Our usual load is 20 pounds or under. Just to note, they don't do things like area rugs, etc. Towels, bedding are accepted. Be sure to tip your cleaner because it's well deserved. With tipping, the pricing is still less than or equal to what I pay using the laundry room at my apartment complex. However, those washers don't always do the best job. Highly recommend.
