I have been searching for The Perfect sleep chair for two years. A friend took me to Rettig's yesterday. The recliner they had on the display floor was beyond my expectations! When I found out I would be traveling to Michigan for Thanksgiving, I knew I had to find a class in the area to satisfy my 'barre addiction.' I am so glad I found Relevé! Relevé is a barre fitness studio located right off Woodward in Birmingham. It's small so the classes feel more intimate and you have better visibility from the instructors. There is also a lot of parking available, so it's easy to just pop in and start the class (as opposed to a huge commercial studio/gym in which you have to park far away, go through locker rooms, etc.). I attended three classes when I was in town - one with Donna (cardio) and two with Beth (basic and cardio). They are both WONDERFUL instructors (with beautiful ballet bodies, so you know this class works!) and gave me very challenging workouts. They were both patient, knowledgeable and able to describe the different moves and benefits as we transitioned from section to section. I instantly felt the 'burn' and lots of good shaking in my muscles during each of our sets. If you are unfamiliar with barre, I highly encourage you to check out barre and this studio. You don't have to be an expert ballerina to do well- you just have to have a positive mental attitude and a willingness to work hard. You will notice changes in your body immediately! Nice little bookstore/newsstand…read more We stumbled on it while walking around downtown, during a visit to Heidelberg to see Sweetie's brother. Looked at a plaque across the street, and went back to the car. Passing this, looked at displays in the windows, not even noticing at first that it was open. Once we realized it was, we went right in, of course. It's mostly magazines, with a pretty good variety. We ended up getting a few. There are some books, including local ones. Also some collectibles in back. The owner was friendly but quiet. I'd be happy to have this store near my college, or frankly, in Columbus. Not fancy at all, but plenty of interesting stuff to read.

The rude man stated I had to take my wet shoes off even though I was not on the bowling floor and stated to ask me where I went to school because I am apparently not educated enough to read a sign after telling him he doesn't have a right to talk to me like that he proceeded to raise his voice and began to yell at me about me shoes and tax dollars which made no sense at all.
