I looked at many, many daycare centers before deciding on The Learning Experience in Bag Ridge. I stared sending my son when he was three months old; staff made me feel confident that he was in good hands, which a new mom always needs! The location has an outdoor play space, which was important to me, as well as an indoor place place for days with less than ideal weather. Classrooms are bright, clean and child-oriented, and weekly schedules are posted for parents. I love the weekly art that gets sent home. Staff is responsive and warm, and the adults are familiar with each child. It's always a warm morning welcome. My work requires an early morning start, so early drop off times were a must- TLE meets this (very) important requirement. When looking into daycare, it was important that my child was stimulated as an infant, but also that this would continue throughout the years I plan on keeping him in the center. The curriculum presented for older children seems cognitively demanding and the way the entire center is run is worth the price I pay :) read more

This is my son's second week at the Learning Experience-Bay Ridge. We are very happy with the place; is super clean, colorful, the teachers are so loving and caring. My son is 9 months old and since he started attending I can tell that he has accomplished a lot (eating solids, learning to crawl, socializing with other babies). Ms. Ashley (his teacher) is so encouraging and loving that has already established a strong secure bond with him. Totally recommend this day care! read more

When we were looking for a daycare for our 1 year old, we looked at almost every daycare in the area. This place is hands down the best. It's so clean, the classrooms are nice, every staff member is amazing. Im serious, there isn't one person there who isn't willing to go above and beyond for you and your children with a smile on their face. The learning experience expertly balances playing and learning for your child. It's been over a year now and we couldn't imagine having our precious baby anywhere else. read more

Parents beware. Our child went to the school for 2.5 years. In the beginning it was great. She had wonderful teachers and she adjusted well. This past year with the new "medical director" and the owners new rigid rules everything changed. Our child got kicked out within a few days notice for not abiding by their 2 hour sleep schedule despite being 4 and no longer napping. We were told she has a whole record on her and were told other teachers quit because of her. We were also told to see a therapist for her. We were embarrassed and talked down to and left stranded. It's disgusting how these people treat little kids. I later found a few other parents who had similar complaints about them. They left us stranded without a place to go. There are other plenty of shady things that they did that is very questionable. They left my kid sad and confused. It was a blessing in disguise because now she's in a great school where she is adored and her teacher don't see anything wrong with her. If you care about your child and don't want to throw away money on cheap food and even worse treatment, stay away from this place. read more

Really love this place! We viewed about 4 other schools before choosing this one. We started when my daughter turned 2, within about 3 weeks she used the potty at school for the first time ever. She counts to 20, knows her letters and colors and is super friendly and polite due to everything they are teaching her. I adore her teacher Ms. Amanda and so does my daughter. They do tons of arts and crafts, but I did notice they don't do as much during the summer which is frustrating. The ONLY reason, I took away a star was because of their food vendor and/or food choices. This school is for 3 and under and they have "deli sandwiches" on the menu; weekly might I add. I never serve her that at home and what 2 year old eats sandwiches? The School is nut free so it's usually turkey and cheese, not pb & j.They mentioned kids deconstruct the sandwich, but I don't think that should even be on the menu. Lastly, the other day the lunch meal was Lentils, dinner roll and fruit. Beans and bread ? Some days her sheet comes home that she ate 2x at lunch but days with the above menu, she eats nothing which is frustrating as a parent, not the schools fault, but I wish they consider changing the menu. Other than that, I love the school and staff and will keep her in for their 3 year old program as well. read more

So, I have to give this place an incredible review for so many reasons. I recently became a single mom and needed to get my daughter into school full-time so that I could work. I was very skittish about it because she is only 2 1/2 and has only been going to school three days a week for three hours per day. This was going to be a huge change - from 8:30 - 5. I was so scared but Amy the program director was so awesome and helpful. She totally understood my reservations and wanted to assure me that everything would be okay. I went on a tour of the school and was blown away. It was beautiful, brand-new and extremely safe and secure. (You need a special key fob to get in). Anyway, the staff is fantastic, Amanda, Kevin, Albana, Kiran... they're so helpful and so nice. I can't even tell you how happy I am that I found this place. They have a well-developed curriculum and even help out with things like potty training which is a tremendous help to a single mom!!! Plus, my daughter literally asks to go to school now. Couldn't be happier. I walk 30 minutes to get her here every day and it is well-worth it! Plus I get exercise! Woohoo! read more

Absolutely worth a tour, and an enrollment! Facility is new, the building grounds are kept exceptionally clean inside & out. It's so sad how this daycare will do everything to intimidate parents who expose the truth online about the quality of care provided at this facility. I posted my horrible experience and they went ahead and reported it and threatened me with legal action for using my freedom of speech. All I'm trying to do is share my honest opinion so that innocent children and parents don't suffer what I suffered. And if they're truthful about their camera recording policy, then everything I stated previously can be seen and hopefully heard as well through their camera footage, unless they're deleting it for legal purposes! Please be careful of this facility, and don't be scared to speak up. I'm pretty sure they create fake profiles and post fake reviews to keep their ratings high. Or whenever anyone does write a negative review they threaten them with legal action so therefore anyone whos easily intimidated will give in and delete it. Very scary!! So I started searching for a daycare to place my then 22 months old in for a few reasons. 1)He's not eating on his own 2) he's intimidated by other kids and rather play on his own 3) I was expecting and need someone to watch my 22 month old once the newborn comes. I visited a few daycare centers and this one, though slightly pricier, is by far the cleanest and has surveillance in each room. The cleanliness and surveillance were huge deciding factors for me. The staff are super friendly and professional. I decided to enroll my son for part-time, three days a week, four hours a day just to get him acclimated. As expected, he cried for the first two weeks. It was hard for my husband and I to just walk out and let him cry but we had to leave. We watched from the surveillance and saw the staff doing their best to calm him down. They distracted him with toys, with other kids, and they held him. I was relieved that he wasn't ignored or scolded. Now after two weeks when we pick him up from daycare, he doesn't want to leave. We get a daily report on paper on what the kids do and his teacher said he participates to the fullest. He even tries to feed himself! Although he doesnt eat much, that's still progress because he doesn't even do that at home. What a relief. Another thing I really appreciate is that theyre very accommodating to our schedule. There are times when we needed to switch a day, as long as I called to let them know ahead of time, they accommodated. Of course I'd try not to take advantage of that. I'm really glad we chose this facility. We are considering full time soon. read more

As new parents, we had no experience with daycares. It was difficult to choose a location. We wanted a place that would be safe, clean, educational, and close to home. We toured approximately 15 child care programs and we found what we were looking for and more with TLE in Bay Ridge! I enrolled my daughter in the center when she was around 16 months old. Upon touring, The Business Director Mr Kiran - is so nice, he answered all of my many questions and once I drop her off on the first day, he was there to give us a very warm welcome and we could call him anytime to see how my daughter was doing there. Our daughter is being cared for by people that truly care about her and want to see her succeed in life. We love to hear daily about the things that she is experiencing and learning. We appreciate that the teachers are actually teaching and not just "watching" her. I have two babies under the age of one in the infant room with Ms Ashley and Ms Daynesha. I researched for months different daycare centers in Staten Island and Brooklyn and could not find one that came close to The Learning Experience. I chose this daycare not only because of the cleanliness and convenience( super early hours are available which is great for me because I'm a teacher ) , but because of the warm and loving environment it provides. Having to leave two little babies for eight hours five days a week in another persons care can tear away at you emotionally, however I can leave them knowing they're being cared for properly by teachers that love them and take great care of them. I receive daily reports of the events that occurred that day and I occasionally call and can get plugged in to the classroom and can speak directly to the teachers. The babies love their teachers and smile when they see them in the morning. The directors/owners of the facility are also very kind and patient people along with Ms. I who is one of the early morning teachers and works with the toddler group . I definitely recommend this wonderful early education center. read more

After touring about 8 day care facilities, we decided so send our daughter to the Learning Experience. The detailed tour, cleanliness of the facility and smiling teachers made our decision easier. Our daughter has been in the infant room with Ashley & Daynesha for a little over a month now. She is happy to go each day, smiles when she sees her teachers in the morning, and doesn't even notice when we leave. Both teachers really seem to care about the children and want to make their experience positive. I feel very safe leaving my daughter here each day. read more
