The Learning Experience is so much less than what it portrays itself to be. Being someone that has exponential experience in this industry both as a parent and as an employee, I have never in all of my years seen such staff turnover the way TLE of Littleton experiences, leaving families and children no time to even learn the name of their "teacher" before that teacher is suddenly " no longer with the company" or they get removed from their classroom to accommodate other rooms on a last minute whim! Not to mention that more than 80% of the staff are brought on to the company with little to know experience in childcare at all and do not have the proper safety qualifications to be in a classroom. The Learning Experience prides itself on its curriculum and enrichment program, yet NONE of it is actually being applied in classrooms and with students. The Center Directors (Lynn Wheeler) daily motto is to "Roll the Dice" and "Fake it til you make it!" Constantly putting up a facade and a rushed together presentation for families, cooperate and the franchise owners any time they make an in person visit. This company is constantly trying to convince the families, the staff and the public of how well they have their company established yet everything is completely falling apart behind the scenes. Staff members are overworked, underpaid, forced to work over time hours because of lack of staffing, the Center Director does not clearly communicate with staff and holds favoritism with particular staff members. The Learning Experience is certainly an unforgettable experience and one that I personally would never wish to remember. A company that has no regard for other peoples well-being, a company consumed with selfish administrators and leaders, with no regard to acknowledge the efforts, sacrifices and willingness put forth by staff members and no regard for the parents that are oblivious to the reality of what is the disgraceful TLE of Littleton MA. read more

Have you received phone calls from the daycare demanding to pick up your child immediately in the middle of the day? Well, if you choose The Learning Experience - Littleton you might have this fun experience. The concept that parents pay to daycare to take care of their children so a parent can work seems to be alien to this daycare. Staff is constantly overworked, facility understaffed. The business violates the law by telling their staff they cant discuss wages and they pay unfairly. often the staff don't get breaks. Too many kids per person. Its unsafe for this place to have many kids with such low staff numbers on top of them being mistreated. read more

My children have been attending this daycare center for almost 2 years. What sets it apart from other daycares we have attended is that they have a really good learning curriculum, their policies on behavior management are smart and they expose children to many different experiences (in-school field trips, new technology etc.). They have an app that keeps you in the loop with what is happening throughout the day (with pictures) and their playground is beautiful (new turf). As a parent who works full-time out of the home, I love that they provide snacks and a hot lunch. One less thing for me to pack. There is teacher turnover like in any place, but I feel comforted that the staff is trained well and there is a good culture of the teachers really investing in the kids. COVID has really put a lot of extra pressure on daycares and I appreciate the extra efforts the teachers have put in to keep the center open. read more

Robin and her staff are excellent. I had one child go here before graduating (there's an actual ceremony... that is very well done) to kindergarten; and I have another going into year 3. They both love their teachers, learn all kinds of stuff and have fun. I hear all about it on the way home. (I'm not an expert, and I don't know what 5 stars means... and I can't compare this to any other options; but it's been great for us.) read more

My family cannot stress how unhappy we have been with the Learning Experience since December 2017. Once the business was sold to people that have no experience owning / running a daycare, they keep the current director in her position instead of hiring someone that does not speak out of both sides of her mouth. The owners also are not on-site -- they are out of New Jersey and rely on Michelle to handle things. Bad Move ! They are so full of themselves and try to assure you that they are here to listen and want your feedback on any issues. If that is the case, why have we never received contact information for them????? We had seven years at this Learning Experience location and when things changed and we only needed part-time, they REFUSED to work with us to make it happen. They are greedy and want the money for only full-time children. Just be careful if you decide to send your child(ren) here. Unfortunately they don't have a negative number of stars to rate this business. With reservations, we are giving it one star. Find another daycare !! Save yourselves the aggravation of having to deal with the current administration. read more

My son attended TLE for a year and a half. He started in the infant room, then twaddler (I kid you not) and then toddler, then prepper. He was 2 when we pulled him out. The infant room teachers were fine, and the toddler room teachers were great. Aside from that, there was so much staff turnover that I never got to know any of his other teachers. Ownership was worthless. That's moot at this point because the owner (Juli) had her franchise revoked. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about that. The playgrounds are tiny, not much room for kids to run and no ride-on toys, etc. When my son got to a point where he was interacting with other kids more, he started coming home with bumps, bruises and bites weekly. The teachers wouldn't kick out the biters or even watch them more closely. He had two that broke the skin! They wouldn't potty train until he was "mostly potty trained at home." How on earth am I supposed to accomplish that if he's at daycare most of his waking hours a week!? I was getting less and less patient with the place when one day my son came home with eight bruises on his back exactly where an adults fingers would land if they grabbed him HARD around the sides. When I gave the teachers the benefit of the doubt and asked what had happened (he could have been about to fall and someone caught him hard, maybe), the only response I got was, "There was a lot of rough hugging going on between the kids that day." Yeah, right. I pulled him out the next day, and they didn't even argue when I said I wouldn't give or pay for the required two-weeks notice. To me that means they know they did something really wrong. Other notes: they apparently accepted credit cards but sometimes didn't. I have no idea what that was about, except it just seemed like the staff didn't want to have to run it through the computer and wanted a check instead. They have a photographer come in a couple times a year to do class pictures. It's an incredible racket - I've never paid that much for actual family portraits. I'm sure that TLE got a cut of that. And finally, I have no idea what the place is like now that they're under corporate ownership. I hope it is improving. Moms in Littleton have basically blacklisted the place, which isn't a good sign for a franchise in it's own town. I suspect that they're going to have to do some serious advertising and showing the area moms that they've changed if they want that opinion to return to favorable. read more

As a parent and toddler teacher here I have seen both sides of the coin. My son has been at this tle for over a year and I have seen him grow and thrive. The director and staff are caring and welcoming. There are always fun activities being planned especially in the summer with water sprinklers and many fun vendors. I have worked at many day cares and this one has made means my family feel welcome from day one. read more

This is a wonderful daycare! My son has been attending since he was 3 months old. It is a clean and inviting atmosphere. I would highly recommend this center to any parent. The teachers are all wonderful and caring. My son had learned so much from them. His vocabulary and interaction with others is considered advanced according to his pediatrician. The directors have been so accommodating with my changing work schedule as well. This is a first rate daycare center. It's expensive but worth it. read more

In response to the last review... Tle Littleton is no longer a franchise. That owner was awful. The NEW director is amazing! Can't praise Robin enough! She has been extremely accommodating to my ever changing schedule on short notice. Myself as a parent ( working and being a mom both full time ) know that I am not perfect and haven't taught my daughter everything the second she was "supposed" to learn it. I.e. Using a spoon or fork because I'm extremely busy and was avoiding any extra messes. Her toddler teachers have listened to my needs and are helping her excel. I couldn't be more happy. She is doing everything she needs to do and more. Not all day cares have a food program and they do. They offer an Am snack, lunch, and Pm snack. The menu is created by the corporate center with your children's nutrition in mind. Each room, infants and toddlers too all have specific monthly curriculum, this is not a place that does "babysitting". Their teachers are invested in your children. read more

We've been using the learning experience since our daughter was two months old. The staff is excellent and my daughter loves them. They are very attentive and keep her busy throughout the day with a variety of activities. They've always been willing to discuss and address any concerns that we've had throughout our time there. read more

I am very surprised to see some of the negative reviews about Littleton TLC on here, had I seen them before my wife and I chose the center a year and a half ago wen we moved out here from Charlestown, we probably would have stayed away. Thankfully we didn't read them as most of them are wholly inconsistent with our experience. It may obviously be the product of new management and the new director Tina (the only one we've known). We started our now three year old daughter at TLC in March of 2013, she had previously only been cared for by a family member, so she was a bit shy at first, and was used to one on one attention. She adjusted very quickly with the help especially of her first teacher at TLC Ms. Theresa. We were very, very impressed with Theresa and found her to be extremely professional and caring. Our daughter really came out of her shell with Theresa's class and has made some friends that have followed with her to the twaddlers, Preppers and now the preschool program. Her growth in the Preppers class really accelerated and we were again very pleased with her teachers. Ms. Laura was really great at helping her improve her listening skills and with the transition out of diapers. It is too early for us to fully evaluate the preschool class but I can say our daughter is happy there and seems to be learning a lot. From top to bottom we have been pleased. There have been some departures, but I feel that the main classroom teachers have been consistent making for consistency in the curriculum and understanding of each child. Tina is always aware of what is going on, and I really believe she's built a great and improving team. Even the fill-in teacher Ms. Paula seems to really know our little girl and is wonderful. I hope that those that are concerned with the reviews from the time under prior management will not dismiss TLC out of hand, because we have been very pleased and feel our child is safe, engaged and happy there. That a credit to changes that were made, and I see no slip back into the ways described by others. read more

I have two children at TLE, one that has been there from infants to preschool (2.5 years total) and another in infants as of this review. We moved to the area from Somerville where we used a different daycare center. This place is outstanding. My oldest looks forward to school and is often too engrossed in activities to want to leave at the end of the day. I am very pleased with his development. My wife and I were originally drawn to TLE flexible hours. We are both working professionals and sometimes need all of the 630am-630pm time. Those hours are a lifesaver, and there are a number of kids there late. Our kids always have someone to interact with. Great staff. Whenever turnover occurs, they seem to do an excellent job in finding capable childcare pros to fill the spots. The grounds are nice, the playground is first class (field turf!) and classrooms are cleaner than any other daycare center I've been in. They have an on-site cook that prepares a varied menu. Such a luxury to not have to prep 3 meals. Would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Terrible !!! Stay away... glorified daycare.. not worth the money. Turnover of staff is incredible. My child did not advance in the seven months he was there. After leaving this daycare and placing him elsewhere he showed signs of improvement within a week. Director was unaccommodating and rude, owner is rarely around and did not offer any options to reconcile the issue. Facility is nice but that's about it. read more

We have had two children at The Learning Experience for two years, and have been extremely impressed with the staff and leadership. More importantly we have been impressed with our children's growth. The school (as we call it) provides ample opportunity for children to be active and engaged, ample interaction with children of multiple age levels and abilities, and opportunities for play (Make Believe Boulevard looks like fun!). This Littleton location, was identified as the best center within The Learning Experience organization (over 200 locations in 19 states) in 2016. Our children have thrived at this location, and we feel that the staff is able to provide the attention and cognitive support that we as parents would provide if we didn't have to work. Don't trust the reviews below, they appear to be outdated and narrowly focused; be sure to check out TLE yourself. Robin or Amber will show you around, and your child can spend part of a day in the program, to see if it is the right fit for you and your child. The teachers refer to all children by name, and every child is a "friend." Each child that has exited Preschool 3 has walked into their next educational setting able to read. Trusting the care of your child to someone else is a very personal decision, I would recommend you compare TLE to other centers, the price is well worth the abundance of resources that allow your child to build confidence, grow cognitively and socially, and develop at their own pace. read more

Our family relocated to the Littleton-area from another state. We found out about The Learning Experience (TLE) by crowdsourcing for local daycare centers on Facebook -- TLE came highly recommended by a friend of a friend. We were looking for a center that was in close proximity to the commuter rail station, was open past 5:30 p.m. due to the train schedule, could accommodate both of our kids (ages 7 months and 3.5 at the time), and most of all really had a strong focus on learning! TLE met this criteria and more! We've been very pleased with our children's experience at the TLE! They enjoy going to school, learning new things (and sharing their learnings with us at the end of the day), and love their teachers!! The TLE staff was so helpful in making our transition to a new center from out of state a smooth one, as well as each transition our children have had as they've aged into new classrooms. read more
