Mine listed things like small-town romance, childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance, grumpy vs. sunshine, and steamy romance, along with the publication year and Goodreads rating. It was just enough information to get me excited without spoiling the surprise. When I finally opened it, I discovered a book and author I'd never heard of before: The Predictable Heartbreaks of Imogen Finch by Jacqueline Perkins. As someone who enjoys finding new authors, that was part of the fun.
