This was a cute place. Ended up here one Saturday afternoon in Miami as my little cousin's horse lives there. Apparently, this little farm does a lot because while I only knew about the animals staying and being kept well, reviews say they've had events there and what not. Cannot say anything except that my cousin's horse was healthy and that it appeared she rode well. I don't ride horses, but some of my family members do and they took turns. It was a nice afternoon. If you're looking for real farm experience, this is the place. It is not at all like The Berry Farms or Pinto's. It is very farm-y if that makes sense -- animals, lots of grass and dirt. There's ample parking, a small playground, pony/horseback riding, animals to feed or pet, and a bench sitting area to cool off. Entrance is $15 per person so you get what you pay for. I love the little farm ! We came during fall and their pumpkin patch is the cutest ! So many cute picture spots. They had so much fun activities for the kids hay maze, pony rides, tire swings, petting zoo and so much more. The staff was beyond kind and sweet! My daughter was afraid to ride the ponies and they made her feel comfortable enough to do it and they even gave her an extra ride around. Another staff member took out a bunny for my girls to pet when they saw how excited they were to see the bunnies. I love how it wasn't overcrowded. This is an awesome place. I've also come here on field trips with my students in the past and it's a great experience highly recommended whether you're coming here as a family on the weekend or as a school. read more

The Little Farm is a venue for the whole family. The owners are themselves farmers as well as educators. We rented out the farm for our sons 2nd birthday and the experience did not disappoint. The children loved the pony rides. The goat feeding was a favorite too although the presentation and duration could have been better planned. The pavilion was spacious and the farm overall accommodated our group (150+) easily and didn't seem cluttered. The farm staff was polite and patient with the kids. We hired JC Kids BBQ and it was a homerun. They were prompt, clean, fast, and the food was delicious. The only thing I wished had been different was the temperature. In the summer the highs can reach the low 90s. Perhaps this could be offset with the placement of large fans and misters (or picking a cooler month). The buttercream on our cake melted and we ran out of tea and water. Aside from that I would recommend the Little Farm to any family or group that wanted a theme with real animals and hands on farming experience. read more

I took my 1yo son here before Halloween and had a great experience. The people that work there are very nice and accommodating, and there was so much for us to explore. Amazing spot for a kid's birthday! 3 hours for a private party included a petting zoo with various animals, pony rides, goat milking, goat feeding, and 2 employees all along the way. Carlos and Connor were the employees on the farm Saturday 2/19 and they were wonderful! So nice and informative. And very patient with children and the many questions and concerns we had. Everything on the farm is appropriate for all ages. The children in our party were aged 2-12 and they all had their chance to ride and take pictures. On the farm property is also a playground for smaller children and a soccer field with balls provided. Seating at the pavilion was plentiful for a private party. Petting zoo animals: sheep, goat, goose, rooster, duck, and maybe another. Horses in the stables are also available to pet at your discretion and some do bite and some have their rightful owners in the stable with them. Other employees also brought out bunnies. There is a cow on property, several cats, and quite possibly a few more than I'm forgetting! Overall fantastic experience. Children had a blast. I really enjoyed this farm last weekend with my daughter. Parking was easy and organized and the place was not overpacked. They have cute little set up of hop scotch, see saw, slide and tire swing that's my daughter who is 4 enjoyed. They also had a couple of photo ops and a face painter. In the back was the farm. The staff was very friendly and knowledge. The animals looked healthy and fed. Coats shiny, pens were clean and they were not being forced to do anything they didn't want to- felt it was ethical and people truly loved the animals. My daughter enjoyed meeting marshmallow, the bunny, Chester and Felix the pigs, gazing at how huge the cow clarabelle was and also looking at Jerry the donkey. She was also excited to meet goats and pet baby chickens. The restrooms were clean. Behind were a couple of food trucks and picnic tables to enjoy food. She had her first horse ride ever and enjoyed it. Very quiet family friendly wholesome well managed place. Of course there was a pumpkin patch and we also left with a pumpkin. Went to The Little Farm for the pumpkin patch. This was the first time I've ever been to a pumpkin patch and did not know what to expect. At the gate, they accepted both cash and card which is always a bonus. There was a little petting area that had various animals but it was very cramped and you can barely move around. If they made it larger, it'll be more functional. They had a row of little playhouses for younger kids to play in which was cool. They did have a tour but didn't know when. They didn't have an announcement system, they just walked around and yelled it. Kids could ride horses. There were several areas to take pictures on your own, for FREE, with nice backdrops. It's definitely not stroller friendly due to roots of trees and the grass, but we managed. Overall, for my first time experience, it was good! read more

This was a great place for a family weekend afternoon! The Fall festival just started and it was perfect for my 2 yo super active toddler. The pumpkin patch and hay maze was a big hit. They have lots of space for the kids to run around and there was not a big crowd the day we went, which was great. They also have a butterfly garden, petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkins and honey for purchase and a number of photo props. There are a couple of food trucks and some options for ice cream, snow cones and lots of water. It was very relaxed and perfect for the little one. As far as restrooms are concerned, they have a couple of individual toilets with a sink outside and one bigger family bathroom. Given that this is a very kid-oriented place, it would be helpful to have a second family bathroom. Overall, this was a great place to spend an afternoon with the family. Spent $120 for our family to basically get about 18 cheap little yo-yos and stickers, and maybe 3 pieces of candy in the Easter eggs. This little farm is super cute. We were celebrating two 2 year old birthdays so the the little farm theme worked out perfectly. There was a little petting zoo with a pig,sheep,goat, chickens, and a rabbit etc. We were allowed to pet them and of course take pictures. I'm an animal lover so I was by these animals the whole time. I wanted to secretly take them all home as they all were super sweet. There were also horses to ride for the little ones and for us adults, and no I didn't try to ride a horse. Throughout the property there were Christmas decorations along with a Santa figurine. There were also those stands where you stick your head through to take funny pictures. There was a big shelter where all the seating, cake,food ,and more decor were. This was a cute perfect place for a family with small children. There was alot of space to just let the kids run around to burn off all the sweets and animals to keep everyone entertained. This is one of my favorite places in Miami Dade County! Please note: the ticket price goes to feeding these animals, their care, the employees and the family who is hosting this beautiful learning experience. Please disregard those comments of people who have no idea what it's like to raise animals. If it was cheap you should be worried that the animals in their care aren't being taken care of. But so happy they are. This place has been a childhood favorite of mine and the family who now runs it have made many improvements. Starting with the animals. The animals are not sold off once they aren't "cute" for children anymore. Even learning about adult animals is important to children not just cute little baby goats. The milking of the goat is just as important of a lesson as hand feeding them too. Do take a trip plan a birthday here and bring the entire family! read more

Fun times at the Little Farm on this 'chilly' fall day in South Florida. $10 per person gets you parking and everything else including pony rides, petting zoo (turkeys, ducks, pigs, rabbits, chicks, goats and a sheep) plus a tour of the butterfly center, feeding the baby goats, and actually milking the goats with the very patient farmer staff. The pony rides made for some vivid seasonal photos with the pumpkin patch and scarecrows framing the scene and this was altogether a fun day trip for the family. Decided to have my son's 3rd birthday party here after going for the pumpkin patch last year and I'm so happy I did!! He had such an amazing time as well as all the other guests. Perfect place for children to let loose and kick the ball around, get on swing, pet the animals and ride horse/ponies. Had kids of up to 13 and they all were having a blast. I was pleasantly surprised when they took us around the farm to show us the cows, horses and the kids even got to milk and feed the goats! The butterfly garden was beautiful but didn't see many butterflies although it didn't matter because it was just beautiful and the tour was quick so the kids had more time for the fun stuff. The staff was amazing as well. From the beginning getting in touch with Valerie was very easy going and I never had to ask or call because she hadn't responded my questions. It was always very timely and professional and straight to the point which I loved. Once there the young staff helped us with all our questions and every half hour would come by to make sure we didn't need anything. They were all so great! read more

Total let down. I have heard of Little farm for years and had never gone and now that I did, I don't think I will ever go back. The cost is 10/person - even a 1 year old pays full price. And there is not much to do at all. Pony rides was the best part. The petting zoo is a joke a small fenced enclosure with about 10 mixed animals. Then the play area has about 10 of those plastic play houses. There was a butterfly garden but we saw no butterflies. And some horse stables but nothing going on there. We missed the milking goats bc we were waiting for pony rides. Worst part is when we arrived at 1115. No one told us they closed at 1230 so 6 of us paid. That's $60 for about an hour of lame "entertainment" no thanks. read more

I really like this little farm however, I would not go back for Easter egg hunt. What I appreciated before was that the kids were separated by age and it was well organized. This year, they just did a massive egg hunt for all ages combined so the little ones didn't get a chance to get many eggs. I've heard of the little farm for years and finally went to take my 1 year old niece. $10 per person including the baby. there were a couple horses in their stables, 1 big cow, 1 pig and several goats. The butterfly garden is dying. There is nothing blossoming and a lot of dead branches. Not one good spot for good family pics. Overall I believe the place has potential if they put some work in. I understand caring for farm animals can be expensive and a lot of work, but if you're going to charge $10 at the door for babies there most definitely has to be more than a 15 minute walk. We finished the whole thing within 15 minutes. $5 maybe. But babies ??? I thought that was unreasonable. These are just my two cents. read more

This place was not bad the first time I went. Unfortunately it has become a cash grab. We don't charge an entrance fee but we charge for parking, and we charge for everything else. Pumpkins from Georgia that were way overpriced, which is not really a pumpkin patch. Then you have to contend with the street trash that comes to this place. We went to the yearly Pumpkin Patch racket at the Little Farm for the second year in a row. I will give Little farm credit - this is the best thing going in season-less South Florida if you want a taste of the Fall. Pros: They have a pretty large pumpkin selection, and although it's not really a "pumpkin patch", the prices aren't bad. A free pony ride ticket comes with every pumpkin purchase. A petting zoo for a nominal charge of $2.00. A butterfly garden and lots of other farm animals for the kids to see. Cons: It's located FAR south, almost Homestead. Compared to real pumpkin patches up north with hayrides and such it's pretty crappy. Since it's the best thing going in the area, you have every parent for a 50 mile radius trying to come here. They are idiots too. There were many plastica ladies wearing high heels and jeans.....IT's A FARM STUPID!! The pumpkin "patch" is extremely crowded with parents and kids jockeying for space on the pumpkins to get that manufactured fall picture to post on facebook. If you buy pumpkins, you have to lug them FAR to your car in the lot. Definitely bring a wagon or a cart if you are buying multiple pumpkins. My monkey ass learned the hard way... The place isn't bad, but the crowds (and the heat) are what make it horrendous. I would recommend coming here AS SOON AS THEY OPEN on the weekends or on a weekday. That way you avoid the hoards of morons trying to come here and the lines for the pony rides will be tolerable. read more

We took our kids just this week to their Pumpkin Patch and boy was this SO worth it! We spent a total of $8 and got a pumpkin, my son got a Pony ride, he also got to pet lambs, baby pigs, and even tried to catch chickens! Then we went into their butterfly garden where he ran and ran trying to catch up to the gorgeous butterflies. The smile on my son's face was PRICELESS! I live close by so it was a very short drive for me but I can see how an adult might be disappointed with the size of the farm. Still, in a child's eyes this place is magical! It's a "little farm". What do you want? It's little and it's a farm! That being said, I think it is perfect for parents of young kids that love animals and don't want to spend more than $10 on a kiddie outing. My son LOVES animals ( all kinds) so I have to say we go there often when we're bored. We went for Easter one year and it was GREAT! The egg hunt was divided into age groups which avoided big kids trampling over little ones. We also go every fall and they have a large pumpkin patch along with several picture spots. The petting animal area is small but it has the essentials ( sheep, pigs, geese, rabbits, chicks, etc). They also have the children make a circle and extend their hands full of food so they can feed the sheep. The fun part of that is that they let go of all the sheep at once, so they kind of go crazy and the kids LOVE it. My son milked a goat there once too! There's horses and ponies for children to ride on as well and a cute butterfly garden. All of this for a couple of dollars per person. You can't really ask for much more. Negatives...it is HOT, dirty (it's a farm so don't plan on going to the bathroom while you're there), and in special events it can get a little crowded. read more
