Had a quick lunch there! It is a good spot for lunch and quick food! Food quality is so good! And price is very reasonable! I love their daily special!

This restaurant, The Lobby, was located in our hotel. We tried because the reviews looked good, and the food coming out of the kitchen looked scrumptious. We arrived rather late in the dinner service this evening so they were not able to offer us appetizers. The cocktails we ordered were pretty standard, a gin martini and a Bullet Bourbon and Coke Zero. They were good, nothing special. What WAS special was the entree of guinea foul, olive polenta, broad beans, jalapeno and a delicious mystery sauce. We shared the dish because of the late hour. It was savory, juicy and delicious. Well done! The staff were attentive and friendly. Enjoy The Lobby!

Excellent food and service. We came on a Monday night without reservations and was lucky to score a table. Staff was friendly and explained the dishes and I opted for the 3 course dinner. Started with the Pork belly appetizer. PB was tender and juicy and just the right amount for appies. Dw had the beef tartar which was topped with cheese (i think). The beef wasn't gamey and was very fresh. For the main I had the braised beef cheek. Omf! was tender and moist. I savored every bite. Lastly, I had the creme brulee which I was a large portion but hey I ain't gonna complain on that. Dw had the duck breast with roasted veggies which she said was amazingly good. Dessert was a deconstructed cheese cake (never had before) which was fun and was balanced full of flavors. I would highly recommend Lobby Nesplein!

Wonderful restaurant - delicious food, friendly service, great atmosphere. Really rustic, cozy feeling. All the food was a hit with the family! My daughter ordered the duck and ate everything! The lamb special was cooked perfect, seasoned well. The starters my husband had, the salmon was delectable and the avocado cream was tasty, though rich (probably best to share with a friend). My son ordered the pizza and ate 90% of it and loved it. The bread is served warm with pickled onions that I couldn't seem to get enough of. Sprinkle the salt on the butter bread and you're in heaven. Yum!!!

Somewhat hidden in the alleys just off the main street, I am glad we yelped this place to get breakfast one morning in Amsterdam. At first, I was surprised at how American the place felt, with a rather Western theme and waitresses that spoke perfect English. There weren't too many people there on a Monday morning, perhaps because the weather wasn't very good... In any case, I ordered the eggs royale, which was like a smoked salmon eggs benedict. With rich hollandaise, and a soft bread on the bottom, I was quite satisfied. The brother got a dish with fried eggs and bacon and a special toast that tasted like multigrain bread on the bottom - also delish. Overall, I was impressed with the kind service and ease of ordering in English as well as the food! Would go again.

This place was amazing. 4.5 Stars for me. They welcomed our party of 9 for a last minute restaurant change reservation over the phone. I found them off of yelp. Thank goodness for yelp. The ambiance was beautiful. Upon getting here the host immediately said Hi Loren. Wow! We got seated, our drinks were ordered. Our menu was given. The group decided to order the Pre fix menu except for one person who didn't want the dessert. So 39 £ ($46 U.S.)for appetizer, main entree, and dessert was a deal. For those that wanted the chicken appetizer and wanted a langoustine (tiny baby bite size lobster) add 5£ more. I came here off of Yelp pictures of the food and although they changed the menu the food did not disappoint. This was my Birthday celebration and of course I didn't tell the staff that I think my husband did. He said their conversation went somewhat like this , "ok we are going to write for her happy birthday and what is her age?", "my husband said are you kidding me? You don't write how old a women's age is. We all Had a good laugh when he told us. Our group ordered multiple cocktails, wine, after dinner drinks so it ended up about 70£ ($85 ) pp. Although tipping isn't customary in Europe it's greatly appreciated and it's nothing at all like the U.S. standard of tipping. Just an appreciation amount. Anyway, a strong Yay to come here.

Omg a bougie foodie dream. So many unique and tasty options, we wanted to try them all. The 3 course meal option was great. The service was excellent, the waiters knowledgeable and friendly. The decor is beautiful, and through so elegant still casual. Follow me on IG @lanisgrl

Wonderful setting, tucked away on a small street, the lobby is a fantastic place for dinner and drinks. We enjoyed several items in our group including pizza, several beers and two great glasses of wine. The staff were friendly and spoke great English. The outdoor patio is very large and included great cover for hot days or light rain. I cannot recall the names of the dishes we had but everything looked fantastic. I'd visit again anytime.

We decided to try out this restaurant during our trip to Amsterdam and I'm glad we did! I was able to make a reservation here for a Friday night the day before, for 8:30 pm. It is situated below a hotel and the inside has a dark and modern decor with a more romantic atmosphere. The menu is modern Dutch or european that isn't too long but has a good variety of options. I started with a glass of red wine for which the waiter brought the bottle over and allowed me to taste it first. The wine was lovely! We also got a bowl of bread with butter and delicious little pickled onions. For appetizers, we ordered the herring and the trout. They did an interesting take on the herring which was over some kind of potatoes. It was delicious. The trout was raw and served with some small greens and pickles made into spheres. The presentation was stunning and it tasted incredible. We also got oysters which was one of their specials which we enjoyed. For our entrees, we had the red fish (snapper) and the hake. Both were cooked perfectly. The snapper came with white asparagus, and the hake was over a purée and beans. Both were very unique takes on Dutch food. Lastly we ordered their special apple tart dessert which had an apple cake with apple sorbet and caramel. It was wonderful! The Lobby was a delicious stop during our trip and I would definitely return!

I went here like 2pm so lunch is no longer served but still have Snacks and drinks available. Oyster is good! Service is good! Overall experience is great. Not a five star rating because I haven't tried any main dishes. So it will be unfair. I think this restaurant is Hotel V's place. Absolutely meeting a 4 star hotel's standards.

If you're visiting Amsterdam this place is a must! I will warn you that their portions are not large! The plates are unique the ambiance is just delightful the service is great in spite of being a little slow. Their apple dessert was delicious

And despite ALL of our meals in Amsterdam being excellent, this one may have been the best. We wanted to try Dutch food, not totally knowing what to expect and were blown away by the combination of flavors and textures we consumed. We started with the pickled herring which was served with onions and pickles- fresh yet bold! I'm still thinking about those little fishies weeks later. Then we each had the sampler-ish plates (I forget what it was called). Hers was the vegetarian version and mine was with sausage. There were 3 kinds of essentially mashed potatoes with veggies mixed in: 1 with spinach I think, 1 with carrots, and 1 with sauerkraut. Mine came with a delightfully rich gravy and my moms came with some kind of lighter yellow sauce (I think mustard based). We tried these same dishes at other Dutch restaurants during our stay, but nothing beat The Pantry. The service in this quaint and cozy spot was also excellent!

Portions are substantial and a very good value in a neighborhood where tourist-markups are the norm. They have a/c, but in order to feel it you'll need to sit closer to the back of the restaurant/near the kitchen, as there is only one wall unit back there, and they leave the front of the restaurant open to the elements (even in 98+ degree heat).

I found it browsing Yelp, and the name alone told me this was going to be a meat-forward kind of night. Fair warning if you're bringing anyone squeamish about restaurant names: The wife wasn't thrilled about it going in, though the food won her over fast. Getting there was its own small adventure. The place sits down a narrow alley, and our Uber couldn't get us all the way to it, which turned into a bit of a hike. That happened to us more than once in Amsterdam, using the exact address didn't always mean the driver could actually reach the door, so budget a few extra minutes if you're headed here. I normally default to steak, but the menu had a burger topped with pulled pork that promised more meat than a straight cut, and I couldn't pass it up. Delicious. Genuinely one of the best burgers I've had. But the wife's flat iron steak might have stolen the night. Flat iron is one of the most underrated cuts out there, and this kitchen proved it. She was still talking about that steak days after we got home, enough that I ended up buying flat irons from Costco just to chase it. The atmosphere is cool and a little edgy, dim lighting, a lot of character, and yes, some genuinely creepy decor scattered around, including an old doll that stares at you like it's judging your order. It ran loud, but not so loud we couldn't hold a conversation across the table. Service was good, just on European time rather than American time. Getting the check took a while, which threw us off at first, but that's the norm across the EU, not a knock on this place specifically. Pricey, but worth every bit of it. We'd go back without hesitation next time we're in Amsterdam.

They didn't quite communicate with each other about our need to split the check a specific way, but it worked out in the end. We enjoyed some cocktails and beer (ranging from 9.50 Euro to 12 Euro), as well as the Pork Belly and Pickles to start off (21.50 Euro for 300 grams). Tasty way to start the meal. The three of us shared our mains and enjoyed what we had. The Favorite Ribs (24.50 Euro) were flavorful; the L'Incroyable 300gr (Ribeye; 34.50 Euro) was good, but our least favorite of what we ordered; the Le Cannibale Royale 170gr (burger) was super tasty. We sat on the patio. Our server brought us complementary bread with butter while we read through the menu. I'm told my meal was authentic Dutch food, but it just seemed like a strange combination. The name slipped my mind, but it was a pile of mashed potatoes with endive, with a meatball on top with brown gravy and then beside that with some type of smoked sausage with a pile of mustard. I've always felt that whatever food you put on a plate should taste good together sausage with the mustard with the meat and the gravy and the mashed potatoes just seem disjointed to me. With that sad, I ate every drop of it and enjoyed it so maybe I learned something from this meal. ‍ My son took the alternative approach and ordered a meal with Indonesian flavors; chicken with peanut sauce was the main entrée and it came with french fries. He definitely enjoyed his meal as well. I'm glad we gave VS a try. It turned out to be a good meal of Dutch food in a touristy area with food from all over the world. I guess I'm old-fashioned because I just wanted a taste of the local cuisine. Cheers!
