Quite good. I remember eating here for the first time around 2016 and have always wanted to go back. I got the Pendleton burger, it was as good as I remember, I got tons of fries along with it which was great. It was around 16 dollars, but it's a 2 dollar up charge for fries......yes, they charge you extra for fries....at a burger place...they default to potato chips (cheaper for them). I don't care what your "reasoning" is, charging extra for fries at a burger place is pathetic. In terms of service, can't comment too much since I got takeout, but the women there seemed nice and the place was fairly clean, I couldn't make out any dirty areas. They have a few tables outside, on a nice summer day it would be a nice place for lunch. Parking. There's no real parking for this areas since it's in busy street, so you'll have to park a block or two away most of the time, but it's not a big deal. All around great! Besides that I love downtown Gresham and this restaurant is located next to a sweets shop, the food is fresh and local and you can taste the difference. There is more seating inside than it appears from outside. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The menu is on the smaller end but offers a wide range of options that I think everyone could find something. Given the freshness of the food the price was reasonable. And omg were the fries the crispiest! The plain fries can be a bit bland so I recommend the local cow fries which come with parmesan and herb seasoning. Burgers come with chips but for a couple bucks more, you can get the Local Cow fries. I highly recommend it! The burger was made with cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, crispy onion petals and topped with a tangy bbq sauce. Best burger I've had in quite awhile! The Local Cow fries were made with truffle oil, rosemary garlic, and topped with Parmesan. So many fries I couldn't even eat them all! I got the Fort Steven's burger which was delicious, definitely a good amount of blue cheese which is what I look for in a bleu cheese burger! And not overkill on the mushrooms. I also got the cow fries which were highly recommended to me and if you like garlic you'll probably enjoy them. I could have done with regular fries though, it may have been flavor overkill with the burger. The fries were extreeeemely garlicky. This is a great option for a burger in a cool, relaxed environment and the service was top notch. We had a super friendly server but not in an over-the-top fake way, just authentic and nice. Decor is very relaxed and cute, the people that work there are adorable and wonderful, but let's talk burgers... The Jala Moo Ya is by far the most incredible burger I've ever tasted, and I am a "well-burgered 68 year-old." The jalapeño cream cheese is like nothing I've ever tasted. The buns were perfect. Came deep fried with marinara sauce. I ordered a Hawaii 503 burger and my friend ordered a El Chupacabra with good roasted jalapenos. Very heavy burger. The sides were falling onto the plate. This is always been one of our go to places for a burger and fries. Last few times have been a little disappointing though. My wife and I tried the burger special. Brie cheese, pineapple salsa and bacon on a brioche bun. Mine on a gf bun, $3 extra. The specials are a good deal at $12 for the burger and fries. Interesting combo. Super sweet though. After a few bites the sweetness became overpowering. We made the choice to order them however, balancing the sweetness is on them. Bigger issue was the fries. We got a lot of them for sure. But the young teen girls with attitude not ok. Slamming chairs , complaining because it's busy. The Local Cow has been my go-to spot when I want a thick burger. Every time I come here, I need a long nap right after. The Hawaii 503 burger is very easy to eat. You don't get sick of the same fatty flavor because there is BBQ sauce and pineapple to help cut through it. The Rockwood burger was an underdog for sure. I usually avoid getting burgers with guacamole because all you can taste is the guacamole. This burger actually NEEDS the guacamole to help bring all the flavors together. The sliders were actually really good, but really basic. I would get them again if I just wanted the taste of beef and onions. Also, I HIGHLY recommend that you upgrade your regular fries to cow fries because they are extremely addicting. You won't regret it Overall, a very nice burger place to stuff yourself. I got a cheeseburger with onion and mustard and they offered me a choice of mustard. It was good, but not sure if it was onion or the meat but it was a bit lumpy.
