I hired the Locke law group to help me with my divorce. After the courts had to reschedule the hearing two or three times I finally got my date for May 26th 2026. In court, Jason Cruz said he would get the documents for my (still) husband to sign to finalize the divorce...it is now Sept 3rd 2026, and I've called and followed up via email and he has still yet to receive the documents to sign. I'm DO NOT recommend them at all! The paralegal handling my case quit shortly after my hearing and each time I've called in, no one has been available to take my call. I have not heard back either despite being told messages would be passed and I'd be called back. They are unprofessional in getting the documents finalized. I have not heard of it because of something I have to provide, or pay for. So I am in the dark. I am at my wits end with them and my situation! I'm stuck and cannot move forward with my life. I'm angry and they have not rectified my issues. I don't know what I can do at this point. Steer clear from them! $3,000 for a halfway job! read more

I do not recommend Attorney Shannon Locke, I paid $20,000 and I would have paid the remaining balance if he "actually fought for my relative" but on the contrary the service was very bad. I hired Attorney Locke, because he agreed to pursue a path of investigation that I and my relative/inmate needed done, but he never did this investigation and when my relative/inmate asked for this investigation, the Atty just slammed down this idea. Also, to make things worse, he gave my relative/inmate and myself wrong information way more than once, and now this case is out on left field "so to speak" on a road to complete failure. My reply to Atty Locke's comment: I did sign a contract and I'm the one that paid the thousands, it was to help a relative/inmate. Now, had he said "No, I am not going to investigate this or that," then I would have politely just left and never returned. However, when I told this Atty what was going on in the case and the investigation I was requesting, he agreed to look into this, and I believed that he would do this, however, he never did. Then while I keep complaining about this investigation I requested when I hired him in June 2025, he told me last week (Oct 2025) He stated to me; "That was back in June" and I told him, yes, in June, you agreed to do the investigation and even my relative/inmate requested it and still you have not done it, when my relative brings this up you just slam down the idea, so as a customer I am paying and not receiving services that I AND the relative inmate have requested. Also, one of several mistakes he made was that he set up a bond hearing (July 2025) and told us that my relative/inmate would go to a halfway house, (he texted me the name of it) I had told him good because I don't live in a house, only an apt (I told him this about 4 times), well it was a waste of a hearing because there were no beds available in the halfway house and because this atty made this bond hearing to where he would live with us in a home, (even though I told him we only lived in an apt), so the bond got DENIED! What a waste of a 2 hour trip from a jail and back to "only to be set up for failure" because this was poorly organized, and now the inmate has to stay in jail longer plus what a waste of employee time at the courthouse just because all this was poorly planned. Also, he knew my relative had Diabetic foot ulcers (June 2025) and did not fight for medical but instead when my relative/inmate told him he was fired, he made sure he was dragged to the courthouse to state he was fired, at this same time while being fired for being incompetent, this Atty still tried to stay as an asst counsel for my relative/inmate of which my relative/inmate did not agree to and now I can totally understand. I argued with the Atty, told him my relative/inmate struggles to walk with open Diabetic foot sores that are still untreated and you don't fight for medical but you do drag him to court "just to confirm that you're being fired as an atty! And yet you try to stay as his asst counsel and he don't even want you as that, so you're thrown out of the picture completely!" (July 2025) Goodness Gracious, I could write a book about all this atty did or did not do, to prove I am not lying. Also, if Attorneys did their job then families wouldn't have to keep calling to check on the status or ask why things are not done! I also sent texts to my relative/inmate from the Attorney, but I shouldn't have to be in the middle, he should get the text software for inmates or communicate better! Dealing with Atty Locke was a horrible experience it was a financial loss, and it's only delayed the time in jail for my relative/inmate. So I hope all you people reading this, will be way smarter than I was because I don't wish another family to suffer what we suffered, most importantly your relative who is in jail. The bottom line, I don't wish you to lose thousands of dollars like we did, be smarter and read reviews before moving forward with any business in general, because thousands of dollars lost are thousands lost! read more

I trusted Shannon Locke and his firm with my case. It was the first time and only time in my life is been through anything of this sort. I was scared and had high anxiety. I was sold this idea that I would be a priority and they would get my case taken care of, just be patient. Well, I waited over two years making appearances and I requested all the documents needed for my case. I waited patiently and thought I would get updates at year two mark. Nope. Shannon never once showed up to court for me, it was always someone else and then I was told one thing just for them to do another. They said they would fight for me, yet without any real negotiation Shannon himself starting talking about taking the original deal which was horrible. It was something I could've done on my own. The one and only time Shannon showed to court for me, was when he had another client show to court for him to represent. He actually approached her like they were long lost friends and I got pretty much ignored until I requested to talk to him. Mind you, at this point communication had pretty much completely stopped between their office and myself. I had to make the choice to switch to a new attorney which I did. I contracted Mr. Locke to represent a family member who was dealing with a DUI probation violation from 5 or 6 years ago. The prosecutors were wanting to give him jail time. We met with Mr. Locke after I read very positive reviews of him and his office. No review that I came across was disappointed with the result that Mr. Locke's work secured for them, and I'm very happy to say that we can include our case among that statistic as well. Mr. Locke proved to be a very skilled negotiator and well versed in playing the 'game' of criminal defense. We always felt like he had our best interest in mind, and he laid out the goal in our first meeting with him to have the case completely dismissed without jail time. He followed through on that goal with flying colors. Based on our experience, we have two suggestions for anyone wanting to work with Mr. Locke: 1) allow him the time he needs to successfully strategize how to get you to your goal - in our case, this meant Mr. Locke resetting my family member's court appearance a couple of times to increase the chance of the case just being closed (this did NOT alter our flat contract cost). 2) Do anything and everything Mr. Locke 'suggests' you do to help your case - he always presents his strategies to you as 'suggestions' ("maybe you could do this or that and that might help things move along"), but we recommend taking those as actual directions, follow them to the letter! We are so happy with the result that Mr. Locke got for us and give anyone needing a criminal defense attorney our highest recommendation for him.
