You can make an appointment online or you can call for a specific stylist. They do have an app too…read more Appointment started right on time. I came in for a blowout and full makeup session. They did call to confirm my hair length and type just to ensure there was enough time alloted. Note: my hair is naturally wavy right at my shoulder length, and was able to utilize regular blowout time. They do shampoo and condition your hair prior to blow out. Prior to starting, the consultant will ask if you have a certain style in mind or if you would like to go thru their look book. Make-up session, they also did ask for make-up preferences and what type of look I was going for. I loved that they asked what type of event I was going to and the clothes I plan to wear so they could help coordinate that with my hair and makeup. What a great experience, especially for someone who doesn't know how to do my own hair and make up.

Recently had surgery which has made washing and drying my own hair challenging and my regular…read morestylist is out on maternity leave, so I decided to give Blo a try after several people in the area recommended it (although I'm beginning to wonder if any of them had actually been here before?). I wanted to book an appointment for just a wash and dry, but didn't seem like that was an option. Most "basic" option was a wash and blowout - a 45 min appt. I didn't have anywhere to be, so that's what I scheduled. I arrived at 11:50 for my 12 o'clock appointment and was asked to wait as all the stylists were currently assisting other clients - totally okay because I was early. At 12:27, a stylist, who was not my stylist, began washing my hair. I really wasn't worried about having to wait, because, as I said, I had nowhere to be. After the wash, I waited another few minutes and then my stylist came over and asked me what we were doing today - uhm...did you even look at what I booked? I told her just the basic blowout. Now, I want to preface this part by saying, I'm not a hairstylist so I'm not sure what all goes into a blowout, but this woman literally just blow dried my hair. Which would have been fine, if I hadn't been charged $52 for a blowout. She profusely apologized for the prior appointment going long, which I told her I didn't care about, however, I don't feel she should have rushed my services just because the person ahead of me didn't schedule the appropriate appointment (I'd like to point out a flaw in your business model here; if you're going to have a basic blowout for $49 and an extended blowout for $64 - which is the same service with extra time - you're going to have people booking the basic blowout 90% of the time, even if they know it should be extended. So, I think you should either make all blowouts for the extended time/price OR bake in the extra 15 mins between appointments).. In all, my appointment was still 45 mins (27 mins of waiting and 18 mins of actual washing/styling). Needless to say, I won't be back. I gave a two instead of a one because the stylists really were nice, just not the greatest quality service experience.
