We are not Washington natives and our wedding is in Washington so that presented us a unique set of challenges in planning our wedding. We felt compelled to hire a coordinator that is local, and has experience with the venue we chose which is why Krisanna was our prime option. Planning: We officially started working with Krisanna about 3 months out of the wedding date if memory serves. She kept us organized and curated a list of all our vendors with contacts and created a wedding timeline with details for us. As we approached the wedding date we were able to slowly take our foot off the pedal and allow her to drive for us which was helpful. Overtime the she was almost 100% in charge of dealing with the vendors and only came to us with important decisions. She's well versed with our venues guidelines and layout, so she would intentionally call out pitfalls that we can easily avoid due to the institutional knowledge that she has which we really appreciated. She's responsive over text and emails when we has questions or thoughts we wanted to communicate to her. Execution: Fast forward to the day of the wedding, we literally didn't keep our phones on us at all since she's the main point of contact for the day. We were able to enjoy the day without having to bear any logistical burden knowing that she's around. Overall: 100% you need to hire Krisanna for your wedding. I was chaotic and had no clear ideas, but I did have a few very hard requests: I wanted color, I wanted texture, and I wanted everything to be cohesive, all wrapped up in an intimate dinner party feel. Oh, and lots of string lights!! She was grounding throughout the entire planning process and made accommodations more times than I can count. Honestly, I've lost track of everything she pulled off. To give you a small taste: our guest list fluctuated so much that she spent hours reworking the schematics just to fit everyone in the reception space I had envisioned. Then we changed that layout again about a month ish before the wedding. I also completely changed the ceremony site on her two weeks before the big day. We were extremely late deciding on catering. And on top of all of this, I had a medical emergency that lasted two hours on the wedding day. It probably sounds like I was a bridezilla, but not once did she hesitate to be kind, gentle, and compassionate. She was so communicative and generous with her time, always answering messages promptly even when I would flood her phone with every intrusive thought or idea at the most ridiculous times of day. She didn't just take on the role of coordinator. She was my sounding board, my designer, my counselor when I needed to rant, my project manager, all the things, all at once. Years ago they had a more in-depth stock, but nowadays they rarely have what I'm looking for. But they make their primary income from framing posters and art and pictures for people, and would likely better be called The Frame-it Edge. This they do well indeed.

Disappointing Service - I searched for years for two prints to match a third I acquired 20 years…read moreago in Europe. I finally tracked down the other two, via a museum in Austria. I had them sent to me, and took them to be framed by Artists Edge Poulsbo. The charge was almost $600 for two rather small items, but I paid it anxious to see my 3-print set reunited. I was told they would be ready in two weeks. On the day they were supposed to be done, I got a voice mail message saying the machine they used to cut the matting "ate" the mat, and they would have to reorder it, delaying finish by another week. The next week I called to confirm delivery on the day promised (Thursday) and this was confirmed. I didn't get there til Friday (I drove specially from Bainbridge Island to pick them up). The framing wasn't done. Then when I got home, I found another voice mail message saying that they had damaged one of the prints, and would try to find a replacement. The other print would not be ready until the following day. Despite ruining this rare print, and missing delivery deadlines multiple times, I never got any apology or other expression of regret on their part. They seemed to regard it all as no big deal (maybe missed deadlines and ruined prints are a common thing at their business). I demanded a refund, which they gave me. I will now try to find another print, and start the process all over again. I will certainly never do business with Artists Edge again.

Just had a bizarre experience here after being a customer here for years. I started at the Tacoma…read morelocation looking for stretcher bars by the master series in 24, 36, 30, and 40s. Tacoma was out but the sweet sales associates offered to order or call Seattle. I overheard them on the phone confirming various sizes. So I thanked them & drove up to Seattle. I noticed the Seattle location didn't have the sizes I was told, I asked the guy in charge of frames/ stretchers and he claimed I asked for one size then showed me a different brand from what was confirmed over the phone, a heavy duty variety. When I expressed frustration of being told the wrong thing, he walked off pouting, didn't offer to order any for me like Tacoma did. Not wanting to leave empty handed I grabbed a couple off sizes so I can work. On my way to check out, I informed my friend of what just occured and placed the stretchers at the register. The clerk said "You need to check out over there, Sir." My flabbers were gasted! My monocle popped out! I said "Sir? I'm not a sir!". This was strange and shocking to me. So I went to the proper clerk saying "They just called me Sir. What part of me gives man? I've never been called a man." So yeah I'm mad confused as to why my petite, adorable self in pink & lilac got called a man by someone who would not appreciate being misgendered themselves.... On Pride weekend of all times. And why wasn't I offered to have the supplies ordered for me like in Tacoma? Basically I received a wild goose chase, a bad attitude, lied to about what I overheard confirmed on the phone, and casually misgendered by Seattle staff. Very sad since I prefer supporting local. The Tacoma shop is a vibe with kind, helpful staff. I'll stick with them and Jerry's Art a Rama online. Apparently several reviews report bad behavior from staff over the past year or so. Don't need the funky ahh attitude when I just wanna create.
