I was visiting Laurel and made a day trip to Hattiesburg and everything I saw online said to visit The Lucky Rabbit and it did not disappoint. My mother and I got there right when they opened. The large artwork outside with old signs was so captivating. The building was huge and then we found out there were TWO BUILDINGS. SCORE! We were here for about 2.5 hours. There is so much to look at! It looks like there was sections within the store where different collections were curated. There is absolutely everything you can think of from Taylor Swift themed items, plants, artwork, vintage plates and glassware, old gaming systems, books, jewelry, home decor, old signs, hard to come by sodas, and MORE. I came away with some treasures like food shaped magnets, a chicken shaped trivet, napkin holder. and a vintage sconce. It was so cool to explore through the second floor, old van with vintage dishes, and even a room dedicated to spooky stuff. Everything seemed priced well and in fairly good condition. This is the coolest antique store I have ever been to. All the staff are very nice and helpful. Make sure you check their FB page to get the latest walking tour theme. When we were there they had the Beetlejuice exhibit still open as well as the Golden Girls. If you don't want the busy crowds, go early or on a day where they are not having a street farmers market. Had a fabulous time! Very unique! Loved the option to cool off in the "movie room" which is a bonus for people with certain conditions! My only reason for giving it 4 starts is that some of the employees checking people out look and act as if they hate being there. The employees guiding problem through the 2 walking through tours are superb! Very friendly! But the ones at the cash registers are obviously disgusted with their jobs, herding people through like cattle. But overall we loved the shop! read more

The coolest attraction in Hattiesburg. I am not really sure how to describe The Lucky Rabbit. Imagine a warehouse or two filled with neat stuff. That does not really do it justice but you get the idea. It is cool, quirky, fun, and uniquely awesome. Kind of like me. But I digress. A trip to Hattiesburg is not complete for me without a visit here. Do I always buy something? Most times. It might be a t-shirt, a sticker, or even an antique Pyrex bowl. Oh yeah, they have those. They have those in an old school bus that is attached to one of their warehouses. If you are tall like me, you will have to bend over while you search through the bowls looking for the right one someone told you to buy for them. Need to relive your youth with old McDonald's play sets? They have those in the store. Need to take an IG worthy photo in front of their ever-changing entrance display? They have that set up perfectly for you. Need antiques? Got it. Need unique hand made items? Got it. Need vintage clothes for some nonsense school like MS State? Got those too. Could I go on and on? I came for the Pyrex bus and it did not disappoint! I heard about a Pyrex bus from someone I bought dishes from and looked up the Pyrex bus on Facebook and just had to make the trip. The whole store is such an incredible experience, but seeing an ode to Pyrex of this magnitude was epic. I picked up a promo piece to commemorate my trip and I'll be recommending this store for a long time to come. read more

12/21/25 - I was really looking forward to seeing this place after hearing and reading about it but found it grossly underwhelming. Nearly every booth had the same items with the only difference in price. Parking was a NIGHTMARE. I don't know if it's usually that tight on space with little to no direction on maneuvering or it was because this was the last day they're open before Christmas. I would expect them to plan for this if they're only open on weekends. And it's not ADA compliant besides the ramp to get in each building. I didn't explore the second floors as I would need to leave my handicap mother behind. read more

Really fun place to visit. There are two big buildings that are almost like museums fully of random stuff with a lot of 60's - 80's memorabilia. Some displays have themes and others are just mixed up like a rummage sale. It's that way so you'll visit often and see different stuff every time. They also have a good selection of t-shirts, drinks etc. Just know there is no air conditioning in the building - only fans blowing, so if you visit in the summer it will be quite hot in there. That's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars because I know some folks won't like that at all. read more

I recently visited Lucky Rabbit with my two kids, traveling from Longview, TX. As a former resident of Hattiesburg, I was excited to introduce my children to this beloved store. However, my experience quickly turned into a "fart-tastrophe" that left me feeling more than a little "gassy." After a long six-hour drive, we finally "puffed" our way to Lucky Rabbit, and it was everything I had hoped for. About 20 minutes into our visit, my 14-year-old son made a purchase that led to a stinky situation: fart spray. I immediately advised him not to use it in any enclosed area. When I learned he had spent $5 of his Christmas money on it, I tried to brush it off and focus on finding the items I had come for. Despite not finding the specific treasure I sought, I picked up a few small goodies for $90, and the cashier was friendly and attentive while wrapping my glass items--she did a great job! We were in a rush to get to a family dinner, so we hastily "wafted" our way out. As we were leaving, a young man approached us outside, looking concerned. He asked if anyone had sprayed fart spray. Mortified, I turned to my son, who denied it despite my suspicion. I realized the unpleasant smell I had noticed earlier was indeed from my son's "fragrant" purchase. I was so busy trying to find my treasures that I hadn't connected the dots. I expressed my frustration to my son right in front of staff and customers, which should have been handled in a less public setting. While I was apologizing to the first young man and getting onto my kid, things escalated when another man confronted me aggressively, claiming he had my son on camera spraying the fart spray. I was taken aback and overwhelmed. I sincerely apologized multiple times as both staff members ultimately walked away while I was still apologizing. I felt mortified to be treated like a criminal over what was a harmless prank. While I acknowledge my son made a poor choice (a real "stinker"), I don't believe we deserved the level of confrontation we faced. If fart spray isn't welcome in the store, perhaps reconsider selling it. A store that stocks such "fragrant" items should have a sense of humor, yet there was no understanding or levity in the situation; we were met with hostility instead. I'm left scratching my head about the expected outcome of the confrontation. Initially, I was asked if fart spray had been used, but then I was told they had it on camera. If they knew the source of the smell, what was the point? I made my son toss his $5 purchase in the trash right in front of the men. It felt like the confrontation was meant to ensure I was humiliated and angry. I later wrote an email to the ownership, using humor to lighten the mood and seek resolution. Unfortunately, my humor seemed lost on them. Their response included an apology for my "perception" of their aggression but ignored my main concern about being publicly humiliated. They mentioned multiple complaints about the smell and that it needed to be addressed, but we were clearly leaving with our bags of goods. To add insult to injury, their reply included an insincere "lol," suggesting they were asking for trouble by selling fart spray. It felt incredibly dismissive. I've always supported Lucky Rabbit and recommended it to others, but this experience has made me uneasy about doing so in the future. I HATE writing bad reviews, especially since I've enjoyed watching this business grow. This place is a bit of an anomaly. It's not quite an antique store yet it has lots of antiques. It's not quite a furniture store yet the furniture is everywhere! It's not really a flea market, a repurposed items store, gift shop, or a boutique either, yet it has the marks of all these.
