My mother came her to use a gift card she received on a microdermabrasion service and facial. She indicated on the intake form that she takes fish oil capsules and also asked the aesthetician to please be gentle on her nose and cheeks because they are particularly sensitive. My mom said she could feel the intense pressure as soon as the service began and was left with bruising all over her nose and cheeks afterwards. The aesthetician did not claim any responsibility for this and said it would clear up soon but her bruises are very apparent and painful, despite her telling them through the form and verbally that her skin is sensitive in certain areas. read more

No biggie on not receiving that but I was also told that I'd be receiving a refund back for the last monthly fee they charged me as a courtesy due to some mixups and I've waited and waited and called and called and still nothing. Background: I've been working remotely for almost 8 years, but until recently (since Covid) I have had higher anxiety and holding tension in my shoulders. I find myself raising my shoulders all day, even when I'm not at my computer, and it's taken a damn toll on my body. I have a membership with Massage Heights in The Woodlands that started 2 months ago and I've been twice. I've been to Trellis Spa 3 times, but nothing well enough to pull the trigger on a membership. I say all this to say I've experienced all types of settings and massages. Experience: *For some reason I was expecting a stand alone building so driving into a small (about three other businesses) caught me off guard. Since Massage Heights has a similar setup my mind started downplaying how the interior and service would be. *I walked in and was greeted by Jessica and Caitlyn smiling. Again, I still wasn't expecting anything much because, well, I am not used to receiving much at massage places. Lobby was clean, no dust, no fingerprints on the counter. *We were immediately walked to the back where we waited in the private room. Uhm...satisfaction started to rise. They had our names written down (personal touch) and served cold blue berries, watermelon slices and strawberries (absolutely fresh and delicious). My sisters massage started before me and I booked an hour later. They called her to the back to change into slippers and a robe. I was able to take a 20 min nap with a blanket, sound waves, dim lights, candles and solace. I literally wanted to find out where they purchased all the beautiful furniture! Jessica knocked and invited me to change into my robe and slippers because my masseuse was ready - a pleasant surprise since I wasn't due for a long while. *The dressing room was equipped with a shower, closed bathroom, lockers and other thoughtful items. I smiled when I saw tampons, hair ties, deodorant spray, and other things. Again, the cleanliness is consist throughout! *I was ready for my massage and I kid you not, while getting it and I was wondering what membership I was going to get because OMG! When I've gotten massages before I wasn't able to enjoy them because I thought it was supposed to hurt when they rolled out my knots. She rolled out my knots and I woke myself up snoring. It was the small things too. When she was working on my legs she put a warm towel on my chest and the same for my back. She spent so much time on my problem area (shoulders and neck) that I feared there wouldn't be enough time for anything else, and honestly I was growing to be okay with that. To my surprise, every area was worked on and it felt like an hour on each spot- I got the 50 minute Ease and Pain. I will be back. I purchased a membership. I will tell everyone I know to come here. So, this place is great, first class all the way. However, the massage was not beneficial. This was really just a rub down, not therapeutic. One other thing worth noting... In all the paperwork, you give information about any conditions that you have. For me, I have neuropathy, but nobody ever asked about it again. The masseuse should have gone over that information with me and asked me if I had any preferences about the treatment , before I knew it, she was yanking on my toes, causing me pain. Very nice initial impression. Was taken to locker room area right away. Closed off seating area where you soak your feet prior to massage is nice. The actual massage was not beneficial. Areas of upper back and shoulders where I have chronic muscle tension/pain were not focused on (despite me indicating it on the initial form). I did not feel I could communicate with massage therapist well enough to let her know where focus needed to be, and I was not asked this question again by anyone during visit. Immediately offered me a selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and hot teas, both herbal and caffeinated. Also, a fruit plate. And had tiny cupcakes all included had a very clean locker room changing area one of the softest robes I've ever put on and some plastic slippers. Then I go into a separate waiting room from the lobby where they have comfy couches, and there was my hot tea waiting and then a soaking bath for my feet. She gave be a lavender scented neck wrap too. Massage was by Nicha a lady from Thailand. I could tell she didn't speak very good English, but she was very humble and gentle. Very courteous and mindful of my comfort. She reminded me of an old wise grandma there to take care of you and make you feel better. Table was very nice electronic so moves up and down. Nice soft linens and drape. Heated table and bolster for your legs. She is very strong and focused on the deep muscles in my back. She massaged everywhere, and was gentle, but firm at the same time. Never felt awkward like it can sometimes with massages. I did the 90 minute tension blowout and also got a discounted scalp massage. The Scalp massage was a little disappointing. It really didn't feel focused enough to really do much of anything but it was relaxing. I don't think I will pay extra for that in the future. Overall, this is probably the best strip mall spa I've been to. And I've been to spas all over the country in the world. It's a little bit of a drive for me since I live in Spring but definitely will return in the future, but not quite as regularly as the strip mall massage place five minutes from my house read more

I love the spa. My favorite masseuse is Vilai . She addresses my pain points and not only relaxes me but also fixes me. I walk out feeling like I have a new body. I subscribe here on a monthly basis and the amenities are wonderful. I get my feet soaked, get a tray of fruit and something to drink like tea or champagne in the quiet room before I start my massage. Then after my massage I can utilize the shower which has a rain fall shower head. All the toiletries are there so I don't need to bring my own. This experience was amazing! Sarah was so sweet at the reception, she helped me book everything and was patient and kind with all my questions. Had some minor aches and pains from the endless yard work on our property. Figured it would be nice to get a couples massage with my wife; guilty pleasures... We were led to a changing room, set up with a private shower and restroom. Locked some of our valuables up in the lockers available. We were then led to a private waiting room where we were first served exotic fruits and hot tea. I'm feeling pretty darn special at this point. Our massage therapist wasn't far behind, bringing two foot bathes to get my "relax" on. We were given a brief questionnaire; pretty cut and dry. Took a quick pic of our waiting room; smelled really nice - jasmin I think. After letting my tootsies soak for a short bit, my massage therapist entered the room to review my questionnaire with me. I was really impressed by her listening skills! All too often other places will not listen to where I've said I'm hurting. Once moved to the actual massage room, I was delighted by the techiques used, especially on my neck. I was out cold; fell asleep for most of the time. I recall waking up in such a chilled state that I was in no condition to go anywhere yet. That was the beauty of this place... Please beware! We had an absolutely horrendous experience with this spa. I purchased a gift card for my son and his wife to enjoy a couples massage and foot spa experience. They scheduled their massage and everything was fine until my son had a work emergency and they had to re-schedule the appointment. When they called to reschedule they were then informed that the spa had a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the service. Never, until that moment had they informed either myself or my son of that cancellation fee. Now I can understand the reasons for having a cancellation fee - that is a reasonable thing, but 50% is very steep. A lot of places have cancellation fees of $20 or up to $50 - that is understandable. But in these days, with covid and all the associated unexpected things that can happen, there has to be some flexibility. And this was not an outright cancellation, they just needed to re-schedule. At the same time, the spa should have communicated these fees at the time of making the reservation, but they did not. We tried to reason with them and then they agreed to give us a complete refund, but then they refunded less than half the amount I paid. When I called to discuss, the person on the phone was extremely rude and just hung up. I tried calling back several times and left several (very courteous) voicemail messages but they will not call back or answer when I call. I regret my purchase very much and have tried filing a complaint with the BBB. No surprise that they are not accredited or even registered with the BBB. I am still pursuing filing a complaint. So please beware - these folks will take your money and then ignore your calls. read more
