She even went as far as flicking through dozens of magazines to find the right cut. My stylist was very friendly, I had full head foils and cut and blowdry and i love the results, all for £60 which is very reasonable. I would reccommend this salon (wear a warm jumper in winter though as they dont have central heating but they keep the cups of tea flowing!)

Since, like some sort of modern-day goldilocks I have tried several different salons based in Cardiff. Yet none quite come close to La Zarou Bros. The same salon my Mum has been visiting for over 20 years - it's where you'll find me EVERY Thursday after work. They have a few salons in the city centre yet my favourite is in Churchill Way. It's somewhat like those American style barber shops - but the female version. The staff aren't just friends they're family. They know you by name and remember conversations they've had with you from months ago. No typical 'off on holiday' or 'we're having nice weather' talks will take place here. What's more despite having long hair I'm not having to worry that my card will decline at the point of payment. My blow-wave (wash, blow-dry into loose curls) costs less than £20 and it's a given that I leave every week feeling as though I should whip my hair back and forth - or at least whisper "because I'm worth it". Note: All the staff here are super talented and most have 'done' my hair at least once yet my all time favourite person here is Alex - not only do I trust him with my daily drama and gossip but I also let him near me with scissors!

Lazarou was recommended to me by a friend as being both good and cheap. When I went there I found that I wasn't awkward. This is worthy of note because I am ALWAYS awkward in hairdressers. Spending that much time talking to someone that I don't know about things that I'm pretty sure they don't care about?... But I found my hairdresser (who also washed my hair) to be very friendly. Whilst he was actually cutting my hair, he asked me what I was doing that weekend. Replying that I was going to the cinema, but didn't knwo what I was going to see, the hairdresser next to me joined in the conversation. To my great enjoyment, the entire hairdressing salon was then involved in the same conversation about what I should go to see.
