STUFFED - Jalapeno and Cheddar Pretzel - Garlic & Parsley Yacht Club - Diet Cola

If you love soft pretzels, this spot is a must. They're even better paired with the phenomenal beer cheese--rich, velvety, and packed with flavor. The jalapeño cheddar pretzel was a favorite and had a perfect kick. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, with a seat-yourself setup and plenty of space for groups of all sizes. People even bring board games to hang out! Service is attentive but not overbearing, and the beer selection is excellent, with tons of draft options. Great food, great drinks, and a fun, easygoing vibe--I'll definitely be back!

I love it here!!! As an occasional gluten free girlie it's incredibly devastating to think you aren't able to eat soft pretzels (one of my favorite foods) but this place has the best gluten free ones and regular, I've had both and I am so impressed every single time. There are so many different kinds to choose from, you can even get your meal on a soft pretzel- which I did this time, I got a BLT on a GF pretzel with extra mayo. So yummy. But if you want to pick a million different dipping sauces and pair it with your pretzle you can do that too- nutella, mustard, ranch, COOKIE DOUGH- the options are literally endless. I have been here before for lunch with the girls but also have come for drinks before a night out. They have super yummy drinks- everyone should get the passion fruit flirtini. There's plenty of seating options- tables near the window, high top seating, bar seating and also a section towards the back that has games for the table (so fun!).

This is such a unique spot! The space is massive, making it perfect for groups or even solo dining. I was craving something different and stumbled upon this gem. Their pretzel dishes are absolutely delicious! I had an amazing chicken sandwich served on a pretzel--so refreshing to have something other than a regular bun. The pretzel was crispy, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. They also have a great selection of beer and a nice bar area. I tried an Espresso Martini, and it was fantastic. My server was super attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back!

I've been a fan of Malted Barley for several years now. I visited the former Westerly location numerous times and the Providence location is now a must any time I'm in the city. From good vibes to even better food, I just can't get enough. Craving something salty? Sweet? Maybe spicy? Or a savory sandwich? Their list of pretzels is extensive and they're all made to order. There's something there for everyone. And they've got a wide range of drinks to choose from to help you wash those pretzels down.

Malted Barley offers a strong and distinctive beer selection for the discerning sort, including Mighty Squirrel, Narragansett, Founders, and their own brews. From fruited wheat beers to farmhouse ales, this place has something for everyone. Even for non-beer drinkers, the establishment has a decent cocktail list and a bar. I also tried out their monthly pretzel, an elote one. Loaded with powdered cheese and seasoning, this proved irresistible. The pretzel itself had an initial crunch but gave way to springy dough with corn kernels inside. The hearty pub cheese accompanying the pretzel could have been served on its own

Platter - Sugar & Cinnamon

Got the Gluten Free Cinnamon Sugar pretzel with GF cookie dough dip and cream cheese dip! So good!

The Malted Barley is such a cool place to hangout. I came on a Wednesday prior to the 7PM Trivia and it wasn't too crowded but as it got closer to 7pm, more people arrived. The Malted Barley hosts trivia on Monday and Wednesday at 7PM. There are high top wood tables and bench wood tables throughout the restaurant. You can use the QR codes to access the menu. Service was wonderful and friendly. We each ordered a sampler flight of four beers from their draft list. There were so many to choose from and looks like it is always changing. I chose the autumn ale, mango cart, nitro rübæus, and banana bread beer. I enjoy fruit beers so they all tasted good really good and had unique flavors. For food, we had the caprese salad which had sliced fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, basil leaves, served with pretzel croutons and drizzled with a balsamic reduction. I really enjoyed how they incorporated pretzel croutons in this salad since it is not typically added. This was a good portion. Since the pretzel dough is made fresh daily and every pretzel is rolled and stuffed by hand, we had to try it with one of their house-made dipping sauces. We got a chocolate chip pretzel and it was really warm when it arrived and tasted like a dessert. We also ordered a Bratwurst sandwich which had bratwurst, sauerkraut, spicy brown beer mustard served on pretzel buns with chips. As someone who really enjoys pretzels, the pretzels were really good but just wished they were a little bigger. They have specials too so make sure to check out the board. Overall, I had a great time at The Malted Barley and hoping to check out their trivia nights one night and try other beers. Come grab a pretzel and a drink!

Kayla was super helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. I'm not a beer drinker and they only had one cider on the menu so Kayla provided me with some yummy suggestions. The cider on the menu was Peach Mango 10/10. I ordered the following beers to try: ccranberry crush 7/10, sweet tart 6/10, blueberry 7.8/10 this is coming from a cider girl. Great place to pregame with a flight or get to know someone new or old as they have lots of games there.

The pretzels here are really good! I would recommend ordering a pretzel with a few dipping sauces rather than a pretzel sandwich.

Came here for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how GF friendly they were - they had gluten free pretzels buns, something I've been missing for years! Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The GF food also came out in a separate color basket so you felt confident they knew what they were doing (because the pretzels looked so good, I couldn't believe it was GF!)

It's about a 5 minute walk down Fountain Street from the permanent Trinity. It opened during the pandemic, and for a couple years was the only place I would ever go out to for a drink. But even now that I've been back to going out for a while, I can say that this is still actually my favorite place for a drink, of all the many bars and breweries in and around PVD. Why? Because it's simple. You get a beer, you sit under the trees while the city moves around you, you drink. Simple. Maybe you go get another beer, or bring some takeout from somewhere. Simple. What is not simple or needed is "comedy" shows, bad bands, mediocre DJs with speakers that could handle lollapalooza. I also wish they would open in May, when the weather is fine for beer gardens, instead of waiting until June. It would be great to have a focus on keeping the beer selection decent (for a long stretch last year they had no IPAs) and opening on a regular/predictable schedule, and food from some of the great ethic places around rather than the frozen deep-fried overpriced apps of a middling hotel bar. I think, over time, that is what gets you more customers versus programming that has more volume than talent.

Love this spot! Great out door venue for all. Great drinks and a fun staff! This is a must!read more

On a busy Saturday night, we were prepared to not find space, but gave it a shot. Luckily, there was a perfect corner of the bar had just opened & we grabbed the seats. The atmosphere was convivial, upbeat & super comfortable, despite the crowd. Service was fabulously friendly & competent - the bartender handling the packed house with ease. We decided to go with an array of small plates to try as much as possible. The menu it designed perfectly for grazing & the prices are super reasonable! The selections are definitely on the comfort-food side with a strong southern hint. Ingredients are often locally sourced - something I greatly admire. We began with the a small plate of Pimento Cheese Toast. Just a few bites each but a nice start. Duck Drumettes. The horseradish-y white sauce was delectable! Even my non-duck loving partner was blown away. I was happy to hear that the salad was available in a half portion - enough for a light fresh break to our heavy selections. Next came a much heavier choice - the gravy fries with duck confit. We left off the cheese, but it wasn't missed at all. These were decadent, delicious & super filling! Next time we'd get a half portion - that would have been plenty! Our final dish was the Shrimp & Grits, but we'd already filled up on the other dishes & ended up asking for this to go. Even reheated, it was a perfectly delicious accompaniment to our brunch the next day! I'd be tempted to order this to-go again for just that purpose. While we didn't imbibe, the cocktail list looked wonderful & the bar was very well stocked. We did enjoy a nice selection from the interesting beer list. The sandwiches that we saw come out looked delicious & huge! We'd love to try them as well. We will be back - this is certainly a new favorite for us!

Entry is $10, or $35 annual memberships (start September every year). The prices of the cocktails are so reasonable and rare to see in Providence at $10 to $12. The beer offerings vary from cans or draft, with impressive offerings such as Bissell Brothers from Portland, Maine. As someone in their 30s, I do give warning this is more an undergrad/grad place so late hours are usually crowded with students (after 9pm). I usually drink there earlier in the evening as a pre game spot lol I will always recommend Grad Center Bar.

We visited around 8pm on a Saturday, and there was a line of about 15 people in the stairwell. We waited about 20 minutes to get in, with $5 entry fee per person. And it was well worth it all because - honestly, you just gotta experience it! It is a typical dive bar with affordable drinks, but it's not shitty drinks either! We got a green tea shot to get our night started - Jameson whiskey, peach schnapps, sour mix, sprite. Very refreshing and goes down pretty easily, can't even taste the alcohol but it's definitely there! Such a chill place to wind down and catch up with buddies! Maybe play a game of pool while you're at it!

GG’s Pretzels - Pretzel rods and some local goods

If you live in Warren and haven't been to GG's Pretzels yet, what are you waiting for?…read more The shop itself is pretty no frills, but honestly that's fine; this is grab-and-go food at its core, not a sit-down experience. What matters are the pretzels, and on that front they deliver. Don't let the words "soft pretzel" conjure up images of a soggy mall kiosk situation, because that's not what's happening here. These are large, beautifully baked pretzels with a rich, pillowy interior and a deep golden crust that has more in common with a brioche than anything you'd find at an Auntie Anne's. We grabbed the classic salted and the sour cream and onion. The classic with yellow mustard for dipping is simple, satisfying, and delicious. The sour cream and onion had a generous coating of seasoning that hits you immediately and keeps delivering all the way through. Then there's the chocolate dipped pretzel rod situation. The display case is genuinely dangerous to stand in front of. There lots of varieties, covering everything from S'mores to Cranberry Pistachio to Heath Bar Caramel. We picked up the lemon and the GG's D'Lite. The lemon is bright and snappy; a perfect balance of sweet and tart that I keep coming back to. As for the D'Lite, I was told it tastes like a Samoa. If that holds up, I may have a new favorite on my hands. They also carry products from a handful of other local businesses, which is a nice bonus if you're looking to pick up a little something extra. Go in, grab a soft pretzel, they are warmed up while you wait, and I dare you to try and leave without a few rods from the case. Lol Pro tip: this is a tricky spot on a busy road and at first glance, looks like parking is even trickier, but there is a decent sized parking lot in the back that you can pull into from the front left of GG's or from the side street, Homestead Ave., and GG's has both a front and rear entrance so don't let this intimidate you.
