This weekend , I made an appointment at River City Salon get my hair cut. I had a style in mind for…read moremy long, long hair and I took a photo of a style that I felt would work well with my hair. I wanted a little bit shorter cut, a longer layered bob cut. I did not want a short cut, I made this clear at least twice. The cut had to be longer because I need to be able to pull my hair up when I work. It is imperative that I be able to pull my hair back. My stylist was very nice and talkative, but she just cut and cut and cut and I ended up with a cut that doesn't even touch my collarbones. I can't pull it back in an attractive way. This has made it impossible for me to look my best in a front facing job. It was cut at least three inches shorter than what I asked for and what I expected. I've had this problem at your salon before. One of the things that strikes me about hairstylists , and this is why I do not ever go to stylists unless I cannot avoid it... They don't listen! Now , I am going to be forced to try and find a way within 24 hours to fix this mess before I fly to the remote location where I'll be working this summer. Maybe I'll have to get a wig that I can wear so I can pull my hair back on shift. I know my hair will grow, but I didn't come in to receive (and pay $45 for) a cut that I "have to grow into." I am a 70 year old woman! PLEASE PLEASE ask your customers questions. Analyze their hair texture, keep them involved in the cutting process, and above all, LISTEN!!!. Not once did this lady show me how short it was getting. It's also piecey and chopped (layered?) and uneven on the sides. Wow. Truly disappointed and never coming back.

I arrived on time to find out my appointment was switched to some other stylist without notice. The owner Dianne blamed it on staff which should have been my first sign. Not a responsible owner or manager. I was upset because I live out of town and made the trip after a recommendation. I didn't want to come all the way back another day. I should have left but rather stayed for the other stylist that did good job on the back of my hair and was very kind. I drove all the way the next day to have corrections on my bangs because for that amount of money I was not going fix it myself. The charges are $60 for a cut plus a tip. The expectations are a bit higher when you pay $60.

My stylist was negative and, truly, almost hostile. She didn't say a single word to me while she colored my hair. It was 2 hours of tension. End result? Nothing like I asked for. Even though their artists were not available, Pagona went above and beyond, and was able to find me someone to not only do my makeup, but all of my bridesmaids as well. A couple of years ago my sister visited, and she had beautiful eyebrows...not too thick and not too dark. They were very natural looking. Since I was planning a trip to Montana, I asked my sister if she could make an appointment with Dixie for me. I figured it would be ok since I was going to be in the area for about two weeks. Dixie was able to get me in on the day I arrived into town. She was so friendly and welcoming. My sister came along for moral support and could fit in the room with me. Dixie listened to what I wanted, and took her time with mapping out my eyebrows. She offered good suggestions on what might look good, but the decision was mine. She had several choices of colors to choose from. Again, I went with her opinion since she is the expert. took about an hour to complete my eyebrows. It hurt a bit, and made me want to sneeze at times! Dixie was good about not working too long in one area, she also used some numbing gel as well, so the pain was not bad. She gave me some ointment to apply a couple times a day to help with the healing. I went back right before I was leaving for home for a final touch up. Overall, I am SO happy with this decision, and to go with Dixie! She was very professional, and comfortable to be around.
