She was very responsive at all times and adjusted things depending on my husband and I's preference - even at the last minute! The day of the wedding, she was a lifesaver. She kept everything timely yet flexible. I remember one mom specifically when the DJ was calling for the bouquet toss and I started running to grab my throw bouquet but Joan was right there when I turned around with it. That's the backdrop for our August 15th wedding. From my first conversation with Joan, I could tell that she was a kind and sweet soul. She assured me that planning a wedding from out-of-town would not be an issue for her. Her pricing was reasonable (and looking back, probably a steal given all the work she did) and she even offered a nice discount when booking through WeddingWire. Our first in-person meet up was fantastic as she was able to arrange for meetings with ALL the major vendors and schedule a tour of the venue. As stated, this was extremely helpful and efficient because I did live in another state so meeting time was limited. From the very beginning she made it clear that she was willing to work within whatever budget we were comfortable with and proved this when she went above and beyond to find more cost-sensitive vendors when initial ones were out of our budget. She is extremely attentive to details and thought of all kinds of things that only an expert in the field of weddings would even consider. I could always easily contact her via text or email and she was always willing to hear my ideas, review images and help to execute my vision. To say that she is organized is an understatement. She was an excellent record keeper, maintaining spreadsheets and providing diagrams and timeline handouts for vendors and the wedding party. Although an extremely stressful time in anyone's life, COVID definitely added some additional twists and turns that we never anticipated but with her help, we were able to navigate each hurdle. Anything that I needed handled was done so expeditiously. My day went perfectly, the theme came together just as I imagined and I would definitely recommend her services. As icing on the cake, the weather all week predicted a high probability of rain, specifically at the time of the ceremony, however there wasn't a drop of rain from the time we started the ceremony to the time we finished. I'd like to think Joan had a little talk with God for that one haha. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking for an experienced, effective, enthusiastic planner who will make your dreams come true!

I have said countless times this was our dream wedding, but if we did one thing differently it would have been to hire Parris for the rehearsal dinner too! My husband and I both have demanding work schedules, however Parris was incredibly understanding, accommodating, and communicative. This helped make a potentially overwhelming process fun and exciting every step of the way! Even more importantly, we are not originally from Columbia and so we were not well versed in the available vendors or venues. Parris listened to our visions for both the wedding and rehearsal in addition to taking the time to get to know us and what specifically we may want. We used Southern Shuttles for our wedding transportation for our guests from our hotel in downtown…read moreColumbia to our venue near Lake Murray. We had about 80% of our people traveling from out of town and planning logistics was proving to be extra stressful. When I called and spoke with Kristy she put me at ease. She explained several options for getting our guests across town...during rush hour....on a Friday. I felt at ease after our conversation and was pleased with the pricing. Kristy and I chatted again about a week or so before the big day and she had me at ease. We had 2 shuttles booked and they were able to get me and my gals to the venue while the other shuttle went to pick up the gentlemen across town. One shuttle headed downtown to get a group of family members and bring them back to the venue earlier than the rest of the guests. Both shuttles then headed back downtown to pick up our guests at the hotel. (They were dropped off right on schedule at the venue.) The day of Kristy sent me her personal number, as well as the drivers names and numbers. I felt very well taken care of and much less worried about everyone arriving on time. Our driver arrived about 15 minutes early! We had plenty of time to get our stuff together and get on the bus, no rush! Both drivers were extremely professional. They even indulged us with playing music we requested on the radio. Both shuttles were extremely clean as well. The was a minor snafu in our timeline at the venue, but the drivers made sure we were picked up and taken to our hotel at the end of the night. I HIGHLY recommend southern shuttles for your transportation needs!

His studio is well equipped for a professional product and his disposition is one where you feel at ease. Johnny worked tirelessly to get the perfect shots, never making us feel rushed. Attention to detail and his desire for perfection meant several extra minutes to set up between shots. And the snapping of numerous pictures meant many to sort through. But that kind of effort is just what my husband and I wanted so we could come away pleased with the shots. Johnny is now my go-to guy for all photography. Great place to host a special venue. We had our Realtor Luncheon today. Beautiful and very modern…read morebuilding. Plenty of parking even though the parking lot isn't paved yet. The caters were a little slow since we had over 200 people there. I don't know if they are affiliated with Central Energy.... but we really needed 2 catering sections with one on each side. Only having one with 2 lines was SLOW! Took a long time to get food. 4 lines would have helped a lot. The food was good and the staff was nice. Seems like they might need a few more bathrooms though. If you go to the bathroom at the entrance there's 2 locks that you need to make sure are locked. Also the bathroom could use a larger trash can. The one they have is functional, but lots of paper towels were all over the floor due to its size. The food was good but I'm not sure who catered it. Larger plates would be good also. We have to carefully place the food on the plate to make sure it all fits. Anyway, the acoustics are a little off so it's hard to hear. But over all we all had an enjoyable lunch there. I hope we go there again. And I hope they hear a few of the complaints and correct them.
