The gold card gives you 25% off the food at off-peak times - the privaleges used to be more generous - it is a shame that the management has seen fit to reduce the benefits. Nevertheless if you are a regular at this chain of restaurants, it is certainly worth considering the £20 one off life time fee for the card. The restaurant is in an attractive setting and housed in an old Water Mill below which runs the Tillingbourne stream - you can still see the old water wheel through a glass window in the centre of the restaurant. As it is a large building with high ceilings, it can be rather cold inside on a winter's day - especially just after it has opened. Choose somewhere warm - e.g. near the fire to sit! By contrast, in the summer time, on a hot day it is refreshingly cool inside. The restaurant has a good choice of wines, soft drinks and beers including Fuller's London Pride on draft.
