We asked the staff for some water for the table .. and the staff said to us "we don't have water,…read moreyou can order drinks" I found it strange that this place doesn't offer water and that you need to order drinks if you are thirsty ..This is the first restaurant/ cafe I've been to that do not provide any water for free especially when I did already order a decent amount of dessert. That's besides the fact that the dessert was already sweet enough, and I really just wanted sine water to help wash it down. The food otherwise was decent, just didn't like the server's attitude.

I've heard this place spoken about in very high regards for many years. I knew it was about time I…read morestrapped on my big boy boots and mosey on over. The place is huge for a dessert cafe. Two levels with a large number of tables and chairs. For us it was a quiet night but I dare not imagine what it would be like with a packed house. Nothing really stuck out for me about the aesthetics of the place. The colours, artwork and architecture all just bled into the background. When it comes to dessert cafes you need it to be bold and create all the right impressions. Ordering is done at the counter. I'm surprised that a place like this doesn't have table side service. I needed a map to find the bathrooms, one second I'm walking upstairs and then I'm by the crepe counter on the ground floor... where am I?! The food is pricey but that being said the quality and quantity definitely reflects what you pay for. You won't be leaving hungry, the amount of ice cream and other flavoured yummies is just unbelievable. Between three people we spend around $100 and that's not including drinks. Speaking of drinks, we requested a jug of water and our waitress informed us that if we wanted water we'd need to buy bottled water. This is a bit harsh but chocolate and sugar makes you thirsty and the cafe wants their drinks profits. The ordered a spinach crepe ($18.90) and a NY Grilled 3 Cheeses ($8.50). The crepe was very tasty and soft, the salad that came with it had so much dressing on it that it was inedible. The NY Grilled 3 Cheese was okay, nothing to really write home about. The stars of the meal was the desserts. A 5th Ave NY and an Oreo Crepe. The 5 Ave came in a massive goblet glass, the amount of ice cream and waffle was extraordinary. The Oreo Crepe was out of this world, with rich melted white and milk chocolate and Oreo cookie dust. Was it a great dessert? You bet ya. Did anything else really stand out to us? Not really. The staff were friendly but we didn't really feel welcomed. When I notice this I always look towards the management, enough said. When I'm paying through the nose for an amazing meal, I also want an amazing experience to go with it. Come for the dessert and stay for the dessert.
