Evie settled in right from her first introduction visit to the time I picked her up. We had regular pup dates and photos which showed her having a great time on walks, meeting new friends and cuddled up on the sofa with Liam, Laras partner. I can say with all honesty, our holiday was extra special seeing that our baby was doing great! The Evie i brought home, was not the usual clingy little soul I bring home from the Kennels. Evie was relaxed and no sign of a croaky bark which usually indicates she's had a Kennel stay. Our usual Kennels are fine, no complaints from us but for Evie, I think they are loud & a little stressful. I would use them as a second choice now. Lara is most definitely Evies stand in Mummy & I would not hesitate in using her again! A big thank you to Lara & not forgetting Liam for a great service xxx

They have always gone out of the way to accomodate our needs for our cats, as one of them has special health needs. Also, if we have not been able to get back in time to pick our cats up, they have kept them for us after we have phoned them. They have fully heated sheds that house the cats. They have looked after our cats very well, playing with them, grooming them, and giving them treat food like Tuna. In the summer they also have some pens that are outside, so the cats are not as cooped up. Their rates are very reasonable, and they provide whatever cat food you ask them to. They have 2 drop off/pick up times for people to use, but have even offered us a little flexibility with this when we have had problems catching our cat to take him. We use them at several times of the year, but our only finding is that you have to be very organised when booking in at certain times of the year (Easter, Christmas, summer holidays) as they get very busy. I always try to book more than a month in advance.

One staff member though it was ok to sell 3 gold fish and a 5 gallon fish tank, goldfish grow big and a tank that size is plain cruelty and abuse for one, let alone 3! The staff member scowled at me because I interrupted her sale. Reported her to her manager and nothing was done as they are still pushing too small of tanks with goldfish onto customers. Another occasion when they started selling reptiles, yet didn't sell thermostats! I asked why to get "they don't need them" excuse me?! Any serious keeper would 100% tell you otherwise. Heat mats can and will severely overheat and cook your reptile and kill it. After a while they stopped selling reptiles (wonder why that is?!) They are ok for food and supplies, but when it comes to animals then stay well alone as it's not just the bad advice, it's also quality of the animals as they buy animals in large bulk which increases the chance of unwell individuals. I had a crested gecko from them once and died within 24 hours even though ones I have from good quality breeders are thriving wonderfully!

The turning point for me was when I rang in as an anxious pet owner asking about treatment for my dog, the receptionist thought she put me on hold. She then proceeded to use every F word possible and scream that she couldn't F'ing cope with me. Her supervisor came on the phone and I advised her that I had heard everything and she could only apologize. I immediately changed vets and informed them that I could not leave any animal of mine in their care if that is how they spoke about their clients! I also took a Terrapin in for treatment which I had found, the vet looked and hinted they were not funded for wildlife but said the Terrapin looked alright. I then rang the RSPCA who took the poor creature to a sanctuary, it died en route. Coincidentally they then took it to Peak Vets who diagnosed extreme muscle waste. So not alright then? Still they didn't have to treat it as it was dead. The Partner Steve rang me to ask me to clear my bill, no apology! He has since retired. So it was 10 years ago, still a lot of the staff I spoke to are still there.
