*2nd update* my dad was transported to a rehab/convalescent awaiting approval to the actual rehab…read moreThursday evening. United Insurance Insurance holding it ALL up! He was walking short distance to bathroom in hospital with assistance upon release. Now this "rehab/convalescent" refuses to help my dad to the bathroom due to staffing. So, they are insisting on placing him with a cathetar and diaper. WTF?????! He will not be able to have therapy until Tuesday. Even though and therapy will be there Monday but apparently not for him (while they are collecting a fat check I am sure!) he's a walking liability with high fall risk, I just want to rip him out of this place! F the medical system! This is why people get sick and die in these places!!!!! *update* he is still denied the place. He was supposed to go to which is right around the corner from where my mom's at which would've been good because she doesn't drive. But instead, he's gonna go to the ghetto and the depths of hell to a one star rehab "convalesent". I don't think he's gonna be too happy that people are saying they wouldn't take the dog too! My mother and the caseworker has put in appeal to get him to the place "real rehab" where he gets it 3 times a day, that actually works with you every day instead of the convalescent they're trying to send him to. Good news, even though still in pain he has been able to walk to the bathroom and back to bed using a walker with assistance, heavily monitored. A little improvement on his part. United Healthcare/Medicare (Senior Advantage) SUCKS! My dad had major surgery Monday. He had bolts screws, spacers placed from his entire L spine all the way his S spine. Two large incisions. Spinal nerves freed (finally)but they are very angry and he's very atrophied from months/years of this crap. You see, insurance nakes you jump through BS hoops before you get what you really nerd. This due to some quack, non-practicing inept doctor and insurance CEO Making tons of money that is paid big bucks to deny things in the name of money! So here we have a 79 yr old male patient who had major surgery, worked his whole life and is denied rehab so he can walk again in a safe environment that has all the necessary equipment. He is NOT stable, can barely stand in place for more than 3 minutes! He is an extreme fall risk with major reprecusdions if he does fall. They plan to have my 79 yr old mother pick him up today from the hospital if they hear nothing new from insurance by 5pm. Getting in the TRUCK will be interesting getting out?????? This is going to hurt or kill my mother who has already had a heart attack! I can not help them until next Tuesday. I am beyond pissed!!!! "F" our inept medical system! If he were illegally here, or never worked and was on medical he would have proper care that would not cost! The recerral for rehab was denied, the peer to peer (bith Dr's consult directly)and now they are appealing which can take 72 more hours! . The doctor even said this is an rxtremely difficult surgery/recovery especially at my dads age. The insurance is thinking of possibly putting him a convalecent instead of a rehab. What an absolute joke!!! I swear as we get older, the government and big insurance corporations want to turn us into Soylent Green! Look what we all have to look forward too, after working snd paying taxes our whole life!

Business: United healthcare, AARP, national phone center…read moreTechnicians: Numerous frontline phone agents Problem: Unresolved question concerning login Date: 6/22/2025 I had just got a new phone and was having trouble logging in from the phone. Using my desktop computer I was able to login. Using the desktop I began "chatting" with one agent after another to get some direction on how to login from my phone. I started with Simone, then was forwarded to Diana, and then Lovella. No answer. I was getting frustrated and began to feel unappreciated as one of their paying customers. In these situations I start by giving my full name and then make my request. The agent then gives their first name and then begins to ask me for more information such as my phone number, address, zip code, insurance number, etc. At this point I ask for their full name so that we can continue the exchange formally and professionally, and so that the power dynamic between us remains balanced. The line goes blank for five or ten seconds and the agent either says "we don't give out our full names", or they try to continue the transaction ignoring my request. I stop them and ask again. Again they try to deflect me. I then ask, "ok, if you will not give me your full name then tell me why that is." Again no answer. I then ask does everyone in your organization only have one name? Again no answer. I ask to speak with a supervisor. In this case I was transferred nine times from Simone to Diana, to Lovella to Liz, to John, to Michael, to Tammar, to Kate, and eventually Edison who said he was a supervisor. I asked for his full name and he said Edison Joseph. I asked why he was the first to give his full name, why all the agents before him did not, and does everyone in your organization only give first names. Again, no answer. These people and the organizations they represent need to understand that if they are interacting with a paying customer, they must do so in a business like, professional and cordial manner. As frontline representatives it is their duty to build trust with their customers. To not do so is rude and unprofessional. I was on the phone for a little over four hours and my issue was not resolved.
