    Loaded fries

Got recommended this place by a few people for their pizza, so decided to finally give it a go. Super nice staff with solid recommendations. Small, but great variety of beers. Had a delicious hazy IPA at the recommendation of one of the guys there. They had some cool little arcade games and pinball machines. Very old school cool pizza vibes. And a mystery set of stairs that I didn't explore but am intrigued about. Really dug the loaded fries. The pizza looked fantastic and was fresh, but there was something "off" about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but left me wanting more. Maybe I hyped myself up too much based on hearing so much about it. 3.5/5 but Yelp doesn't do halves.

    Paper in food.

Megabite Hwy 99 Went for lunch today with two of my girls. We couldn't use any of the 5 high chairs for my 6 month old as one was covered in dried sticky sauce and the others were so sticky and covered in residue that we couldn't get them apart. A gentleman from a table nearby even tried. I went to the car and grabbed my stroller for the baby to eat in instead. We asked for a menu to take to the table so we could decide without a wiggly baby trying to escape, the menu was laminated and sticky, covered in visible food. Unfortunately I didn't see the paper menu by the counter till I went back up to order. My bad 100%, I need to be more aware. Tables were clean, staff was friendly enough, the restaurant fluctuated between hot and cool, for a second I was wondering if I was having hot flashes 10+ years early. lol Food: My loaded tots were brought out 5+ minutes before my daughter's pizza. They were also missing the sour cream but they remembered the ranch request. And my tots where stuck and I mean stuck to the paper in the tray. I've never had that happen. I'm literally picking out paper from my food. At least My teen was happy. Did I complain to staff? Not until I couldn't eat my food with out paper as an ingredient. They said that's just how they do it. What? They offered to remake it the exact same way, I ask for a refund and left the food. Kids already think I'm a Karen when I complain.

Stopped in for a celebration pizza party over the weekend and finally got to try their pizza and jojos! I've been hearing such wonderful things about the pizza and food hear so I was excited to finally try it. The pizza was good. We had the pepperoni and also the combination. Both were thin crust but more chewy than crispy. We also had the mozzarella sticks and jojos. They mozarella sticks were good, nothing special. The jojos were just okay. I was disappointed because everyone raves about it and it tasted a little plain to me. Service was good, the staff was friendly. The parking lot for this establishment is very small and tight. The restaurant is small also but there is games inside for the kids to play. It felt like the air conditioning wasn't on because it got so hot inside, so one of the customers went up and turned the ceiling fan on above the table across from us. Overall, I don't think I'll be back. I prefer really crispy thin crust pizza and this wasn't really what I like. To each their own!

Large 2 topping with chicken and red onion. Adding cheddar is a nice touch!

Clearly a local favorite. Lots of ambience, charm and a surprising amount of parking at the 99 Hwy location. Staff is very friendly and cheerful both on the phone and when you get to the counter to pick up your pie. The vintage arcade games give it an 80's touch while lending credence to their name. We were just doing takeout but there looked like a lot of large tables in there if you're with a group. P ordered their largest 2-topping with chicken and red onion. For almost $40 it's a pretty small pie that lasted one evening with a few small pieces left split between two people. I wouldn't call it thin crust exactly as the plentiful cheese and toppings stayed upright when you held a piece to take a bite and the crust had a cracker crunch to it which is great for some but not for us. We like it softer and chewier. Not a fault, just not our preference. The pizza also seemed to defy physics in staying warm. Even when fully nuked in the microwave, it never stayed hot for long and when we got it home, it was room temperature. It's been a challenge to find good pizza as newcomers to the Vancouver area and our findings were verified by a native New Yorker who helped us move and has lived here for over 20 years. So far we've only found one place that we liked (not loved) and it wasn't found here.

When you are tired of having healthy fruits and vegetables all week, think of The Megabite for your junkie, American comfort food fix. They've got white flour starchy carbs. They've got greasy, meaty sauces. They've got gut-busting cheeses. You will need to be rolled out after your meal here. I'm not into junkie, unhealthy food, but when I'm craving a generous and well-prepared serving of fish-n-chips, I will think of The Megabite. The price on the online menu shows $8, but photo of my receipt shows it's closer to $15 in 2024. Video games are available to distract da kids while waiting for your food!

It wasn't too busy around 11:30am, but by noon it was filling up fast! The host greeted us when we walked in, and seated us right away. Our server asked us if we were celebrating anything before she took our drink order. The service here is so nice! We ordered the calamari appetizer (yum!) and Caesar salads with chicken for our entrees. I ordered the grilled chicken and my husband ordered the fried chicken. Both were delicious! My only complaint this visit was the Caesar salad dressing. It tasted different than what I've had in the past here. I always order their Caesar salad because their dressing is delicious; not too fishy or tangy. This time it was super tangy with a strong vinegar flavor. I ate all the salad on the top, but the base was drowning in it. Luckily my husband likes vinegar so he ate the rest of my salad. I would have sent it back, but it didn't hit the point of inedible for me until more than halfway through it. I definitely couldn't eat another whole salad. I'm not sure if they changed the ingredients, but I'd be hesitant to order it again. They have plenty of other delicious options on their menu, so it might be time to try something new! Overall, we love this restaurant and it's affiliates. Would definitely recommend.

Service is hit and miss, mostly miss. Every time I've been there they take a long time to actually come to the table. When they do, they're friendly enough. But they aren't great at checking back to see if you need anything. The entire time the cold prime rib dinner night, once the food was delivered, no one came back. Waitstaff ignores you unless you're a regular. But there's one guy there who is a better server than the rest. Every time - every single time - I've had to wave someone down to get the check. I typically go when it's less than half full, so service shouldn't be slow. Ambiance - like a tavern. Torn vinyl seats, doors are hard to open, could be really cool if they did some updates. But seriously - you won't find a better Reuben or French dip anywhere. That's why 4-stars.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit sealed the deal -- I won't be returning. When we arrived, there were only about 6 diners total, yet service was already stretched thin with just one waitress/bartender handling around 30 guests shortly after. Our food came out completely cold. We ordered nachos, and the chips were soft all the way through -- no crunch at all. I've honestly had warmer food from a Taco Bell drive-thru after a 10-minute drive. Service was just as frustrating. My drink sat empty before our food even arrived, and I didn't receive a refill until after I had already finished eating. To top it off, several menu items and toppings were unavailable. I had to change my original order because they were "out" of multiple things, including most of the nacho toppings. After we left, my husband said he wanted chicken nuggets and ice cream from McDonald's -- which pretty much sums up how unsatisfied we were. Update: We ended up going to McDonald's, and the chicken nuggets tasted better than the meals we had at 99 Saloon & Grill. They were also significantly hotter -- even after a 3-mile drive home. I understand places can have off days, but this felt like a consistent decline that finally hit rock bottom.

We were on our way to visit Mt. Hood that day and I saw that Nayhely's Place wasn't too far from where we were staying. The reviews were solid, and the food looked delish. I didn't want anything too heavy or massive and I could tell that the food there had a homemade touch. The prices were reasonable too. Upon arrival, we easily found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself was pretty bare bones, but clean, and there were several groups of older folk dining in. It was around 10 am, but it was quiet and peaceful. I love that this restaurant is family-run, and one of the daughters quickly seated us at a comfy booth. It didn't take too long for us to decide on our meals. I went with the corned beef hash breakfast while my husband went with the bacon breakfast. Both of us chose scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sourdough toast. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and I was so excited to dig in. The corned beef hash was perfectly seasoned, with plenty of onions and bell peppers. I've never had good corned beef hash (besides the ones from a can) and this was excellent. The meat was tender as well. The hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside while soft on the inside, and the eggs were fluffy. The toast came buttered but we asked for jam as well. I had a bite of my husband's bacon and it had the most satisfying crunch. We added Tapatio to our eggs and I also added ketchup to my hash browns. Both sauces definitely elevated my breakfast. Overall, I was very pleased that the meal was balanced in terms of portion size and flavor and not very oily. I left feeling full, but not stuffed, which is always key for me when dining at a breakfast spot. My digestive system also doesn't always enjoy breakfast food after, but I had zero problems with the food here. I'm so glad we stumbled upon Nayhely's Place while searching for a yummy breakfast spot in Vancouver, and would love to support this family-run business again the next time we visit the PNW!

It was death metal and not appealing while eating a meal. Much more suitable for a tattoo parlor?! Not sure, but we almost asked for our food to go because it was that unpleasant. It sounded like an exorcism was taking place. Not a great holiday choice... Our food didn't take too long. Everything looked delicious! I was a bit surprised by the cold peanut butter dipping sauce. Not easy to dip fries in. I asked the girl behind the counter if I could exchange it for another ranch. It was no problem. I can't imagine anyone would like a rock hard peanut butter sauce for anything. They definitely need to improve that dipping sauce consistency, or remove it. Everything else tasted great, except the peanut butter sauce on my burger. It was lukewarm at best. Not sure why it wasn't heated up before adding it to the burger?! I've had this burger numerous times and have never had this problem. We hadn't tried their onion rings before and we both enjoyed them. You don't get as many as you do when you order fries, so we were happy that one meal had onion rings instead. They are very generous with their fries portions. Overall a decent experience. Not as great as I remember, but we left full and satisfied with our meals. Not sure we'll be running back anytime soon, unless we get takeout and skip anything with peanut butter sauce.
