Typical tourist trap! This was probably one of the worst Tex-mex I've ever tried. Overpriced and tasteless. Waitress was not familiar with the menu and she was not able to answer questions about ingredients. Don't count on having a good drink there. Waitress didn't know what kind of alcohol they use to make margaritas! After further investigation, it turned out to be vodka!! I would expect Tex-mex/ Mexican restaurant to master their margaritas. This place has amazing ambiance! It's true. A chandelier made of beer bottles, hats on the walls with wanted posters, and cool outfits for the servers. To be honest the look from outside drew me in. Luckily I was a bit hungry and got to try a few different small dishes from here. I had their nachos, salsa, guacamole, empanadas. The guacamole was homemade you can tell, delicious. The empanadas were interesting. Not exactly the same as what they are in the USA or Mexico, these were more like soft tacos, still tasty though. Servers were friendly, greeted us right away and were bilingual here. The food time and service throughout was okay, not the best but hey it is Europe after all. So did I think this place was awesome? The food and service weren't amazing, just good. But the ambiance is very intricate and itself gets 5 stars. read more

Really fun place to eat and drink! Located just off the main square this really fun Mexican place reminded me of the west coast of Canada. Great tacos! Great beer! The staff are all really fun. They fire cap guns and have sombreros to wear. Massive drinks that you can order to earn your face on the wall of drunk. Would go back in a heartbeat. read more

Reserved table. Gave it to someone else. Orders food 45 minutes to get food is stupid. And the restaurant isn't even half full. Unless you really want to wait this is an ok place. I say walk away. Oh even better after 45 min wait thy said they ran out of chicken. My friends food was not supposed to have garlic but it did. We walked out stay away!!! read more

Lively and fun restaurant with great Mexican food,... we had to wait awhile for our food but it was worth the wait! Toalety is a bit of an adventure: Bring a phone for extra lighting if your eyes don't adjust to dark quickly. read more

It has nothing to do with Mexican food, burrito was without taste, guacamole from biedronka.

This restaurant claims to be a Mexican one of its kind. However I'm certain no real mexican food was ever near their kitchen. The waiters are all dressed in racist, stereotypical mexican costumes. The waitresses all have to wear costumes which bares their stomach, and I think it's wrong to tell your employees to wear something that is so much out of many peoples comfort zones. The food isn't better, done with zero to none herbs. Conclusion: if you want nachos from a bag and racist costumes this is the place for you! read more

Well, apparently staff didn't hear about such thing as simple smile. Only few tables are occupied but all waitress are in a big hurry, cutlery and plates are served carelessly and I waited for service over half an hour. Only two quite good things here are interior design and music. read more

Well, the decor looks sort of right, and the service was decent. Beyond that, it leaves much to be desired. IF you've never (or very, very, very rarely) had Mexican food, sure, try it: that way, if anyone ever asks you, "HEY, BUDDY, EVER TRIED MEXICAN FOOD???" You can proudly proclaim that, "Why yes, yes I have!" I guess that's a plus, and a feather in the cap of "The Mexican." When it comes to the food, though, it's just feh. This restaurant is popular in Krakow as a novelty of sorts, and that's about it. If you're from a city that has bona-fide Mexicans cooking bona-fide Mexican food, I can't imagine that this restaurant will hit the spot. The salsa is bland, the guacamole seems to have come from freeze-dried packages (just speculation). And the beans are all wrong! I'm about 90% certain that they're plain ol' kidney beans, but I am 100% certain that they're not pinto beans or black beans. This might seem like nit-picking, but IMHO, you can't have authentic Mexican food without either the pintos or the black beans. And refried beans (also a necessary staple) were not on the menu, and not an option. In short: when in Krakow, stick with what they do best: Polish food, Italian food, French food, Indian food, kebab, Israeli food, Jewish food, & sushi... of the three Mexican restaurants we tried in Krakow, this one was the least Mexican, but even the other two could do much, much better. read more

I used to visit The Mexican in Warsaw a lot. i love their food, so I picked the same restaurant in Cracow, but I left disappointed. We ordered enchilada and steak fajitas . Both were spicy, but not really spiced. There was no flavour, no texture and no salt in our meals . Guacamole was watery and literally had no taste. Fajita was a huge pile of onions and peppers with a few pieces of steak . Not recomending this location at all. read more
