    Fried Chicken Livers

The Backyard Bar & Grill was good!! It was highly recommended to have the Fried Chicken Livers - which was a great recommendation and more than enough for the price and the whole table. They taste just like I remember from back in the day. The service was great and the restaurant was bubbly. Great place to stop and have a bit of fun when traveling through the Appalachian Mountains!

First time and won't be the last! Great Ambiance & Quick Service! Our server was awesome and the food was served very quickly even though they were a bit busy!

Wow... I have been driving by this place since it opened - seeing their big digital sign "best burgers in town." I finally decided to stop, and what a surprise. The restaurant hits on all the categories. The restaurant has a cool vibe and an outside area. The burgers and fries were fantastic. The service was incredible - Colton was awesome. The pricing was very good also. The only drawback was that the gaming hall is a smoking facility, so the place smells like cigarettes. I will be back to try something else. It is worthy of a visit.

The nice looking bar, yet limited availability. Nice ambiance however.

Food ok. Not normal casino grade, far less, ok for the area. Drink prices have gone really high in the past few weeks. Seems after a few years in the area they are starting the price hikes and smaller noticeable smaller portions in dinners. Service is ok, there is rarely the same waitresses on staff. 3 starts is generous and due to the people who is working are trying hard to make a go of it. Place is clean and tables are clean. Bathrooms are understaffed and obviously so. Being male, not as much of a problem, wife says otherwise.

    Sign on the door.

Cigarette smell even while approaching. Sign on the door says that I am not welcomed.

Smoke filled rooms, terrible service. We left after waiting 15 minutes for server to acknowledge us... smelling like smoke. Ugh!

I had the Cajun chicken pasta. The chicken was seasoned well, flavorful but not too spicy. Good amount of white cream sauce. Very good.

Cigarette smoke was heavy everywhere and we smelled like cigs when we came out for the rest of the day.

I don't know how this is in tiny little Corbin, KY but I'm SO glad we found it via Yelp, & yet…read moreagain the great reviews were very trustworthy. We stopped in on a Saturday evening right after opening time, hoping we would be able to get a table. The place was mostly empty, but WOW was it gorgeous! So much decor, and not a speck of dust or cobwebs on any of it. Looked like a victorian era mansion inside the dining room they took us to. It was all autumnal decor, so beautiful! The place is probably an old department store or something with many different rooms, each with its own decor theme; lots of space for special events. Some families were seated in private rooms. I walked through several of the other rooms and they were all decorated for different holidays, Christmas & Halloween mostly. Although those rooms had a lot of kitschy decor, they were also very beautiful. There were giant carved fireplace mantles, grand pianos, a hall of mirrors, and gorgeous carved wood antique furnishings everywhere. We were coming from a family reunion & a trip to Cumberland Falls, so I feared we would be underdressed (and felt we were a bit), but the staff was very welcoming and we had no problem being seated. Several other diners were dressed very well, and others were wearing jeans and t-shirts. It appears to be a very popular date restaurant, and it would definitely be a great romantic spot for a special dinner. The server was quick, efficient and friendly and made good suggestions. We ordered side salads which arrived quickly and were beautifully arranged. Super fresh ingredients, and delicious dressings. My husband kept exclaiming it was the nicest side salad he's had anywhere, so he was apparently pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken piccata, and my unadventurous husband had a burger. He liked his burger, and ate most of it. My chicken piccata was excellent! The generously sized two pieces of chicken were a bit thicker than usual for piccata, but they were cooked perfectly. Crispy exterior, and very tender and flavorful on the inside. The sauce was a bit thicker than normal piccata sauce but man was it good, and they did not skimp on the capers, which is my favorite part of the dish! It was served over a delicious rice blend which went so well with the sauce and served as a nice foil to the rich saltiness of the chicken. I ate way more of it than I even intended to and was stuffed. As much as we ate for dinner, unbelievably, we forced room for dessert and got an amazingly good chocolate cream cake of some sort which had thick layers of whipped filling between layers of chocolate cake, all topped with ganache. It was like a homemade hostess ding-dong, except way more moist. We ate most of it, despite our full bellies. My husband also raved about this cake, which is unusual because he usually hates things with whipped fillings, but he loved the cake & we had it eaten in no time. Finally, when it was time to pay the bill, it was actually a lot more reasonable than many other places that aren't half as good. Server did a great job. We were super happy with our dinner experience, and both of us agreed that Seasons is a major blessing for downtown Corbin. We will definitely stop in again without hesitation. We walked off our meal by meandering around town in the beautiful evening weather, ending up a block or two away at the pinball museum, so we had a fun date night, all in downtown Corbin!

I had been here once before and the food was so good I had to come back. By the time I got to my hotel, I was running late for my reservation and got a call from The Appalachian checking if I was going to make my reservation. I let them know that I had just arrived at my hotel, traffic on I-81 held me up and I was going to order an Uber as soon as I was off the phone. Coming from DC, I expected an Uber would be at the hotel door steps within a few minutes, I was wrong. I was then crushed by the realization that I was wrong, I wasn't gonna make my reservation. I knew that on a week night The Appalachian's kitchen closed at 9. Ride.I called them back to let them know of the situation and expressed my desire to have their Wood Fired Lamb. The Gentleman that answered the phone simply responded "it's going on the grill now, we will see you when you get here. F-ing amazing, turned my stressful and painful day completely around. Uber'ed over, walked into an empty restaurant on a weekday where I would guess dinner customers might have been light and they held the staff for little old me. The Appalachian had just moved to the top of my list for I mean best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Unfortunately, for them, my favorite restaurant of all time in the United States shut down when I was in my early 20's so they'll never get a chance to compete.. But they just bumped Alligator Soul in Savannah Georgia to number two still in existence in these great United States. The Appalachian is a must dine at least once in your life, top tear resistant. Out F-ing standing, must F-ing dine at some point in your life. To the staff of The Appalachian, thank you for taking care of me went you could have told me that you close at 9pm. Thank you for watching out for this old man DC IRIS (AKA Savyon)

First off, the restaurant is truly stunning! Service was excellent too. We started with the Fried Chicken Skins. My friend had heard good things for a friend, but we weren't particularly impressed. I had the Hanger Steak as my entree, and it was delicious. I especially loved the potato dumplings! My friend had the Kansas City Strip, cooked medium rare, with broccolini. Initially, the steak was overcooked, but the staff quickly cooked another steak and made it right. Overall a really good experience! Downtown Sevierville has really evolved, and we enjoyed walking around and exploring after dinner.
