Fantastic service! Patrick was amazing and showed up early with enthusiasm, professionalism and of course a mask. He used his infrared equipment to detect mold in my bedroom window sills. There's always a sinking feeling when you're not sure how much something will cost to fix but Patrick gave me instructions on a DIY fix that would cost $25 for mold treatment and primer. Patrick is awesome. This winter we noticed condensation on our windows, a. lot. of. condensation. Then little patches of mold started to grow on the bottoms of the windows. No matter how much we cleaned, our thirty year old windows couldn't keep out the moisture. I called Patrick and he immediately suggested a free inspection. He came out and confirmed the mold was growing from the old crappy windows condensation. I wish I could say it's the second that's hard to find, but I actually think both are hard to find when it comes to home construction / handy work of any sort! Mold Warriors has both. When they came back to do the work, I was blown away. * They helped actually fix where the water issue was coming from, at no additional charge * They not only crawled under the entire house "just to be sure", but also pulled out debris * Patrick was super super good about ensuring I had a strong grasp of all the moving parts, and thoroughly went over what was needed beyond just his work * They were sweet to my very-much-not-sweet cat (that's a perk, to me) * They were tidy, cleaned up after their work, THOROUGH, and courteous beyond measure. * Warrior is an appropriate name: they were on a mission to eradicate any to be found! My only wish: that I could find other house work support as fabulous as Mold Warriors. Trusting a contractor, plumber, handy-person, etc is NOT easy to do in California. I hate to post a negative review... but this experience left me feeling very taken advantage of. We found apparent mold under our sink. Because we recently bought this home, we were still within a window where going back to sellers for $ was possible. So we needed professional opinions and reports to do so. We hired Patrick to give us a report for our real estate agent. Long story short... I was talked into paying $500 to do an air sample test under our kitchen sink. I was told that this would pay for itself with absolute certainty because he was sure it was toxic mold. When Patrick saw our sink issue he immediately started talking about law suits, homeowners in my situation being paid huge sums of money, implied the very serious health risks ( including death) for our infant sons. He talked about walking us through all the "legal stuff" He was very passionate about his moisture reading gun, taking it all over the house for almost 2 hours. Pointing out several areas of "concern". So when he suggested I pay for a lan test I said yes.... I was very rattled by his comments. We were told we would have a report soon. I was terrified after he left. After several days, no update. It took a week for him to tell us that the air sample under the sink came back benign.... low to no mold. Which is great. Then He told me his mom was in the hospital so he couldn't come help us w the damage repairs ( because he said even though the test said no mold... it was still basically mold ) and told me I should do it ASAP. No mention of the rest of the house. Or report that was needed. I checked in a few days later about the report. He said he was out of town for his sons bday. A few more days and no info. Finally my husband called him . Patrick said he was at his sons baseball game and that he hadn't done the report yet. He was very defensive. We received the report about a day later. It was not professional nor complete. It did not include all the areas of the house that were inspected during his long visit. It called out damage to our dining table which we never discussed while he was here ( also- it's a distressed table... not damaged, no idea where this came from). He said there was no mold under our sink per the air sample.( even though on the phone he told me it was still Mold) it almost seemed like he was not paying attention to the visit at all. Or that he lost interest all together once he learned it was not toxic mold, therefore no lawsuit, therefore no additional money for him. In the end, we could not even use the report that we paid 500 for. I was left confused by his statements and unsettled w the way he used my situation talk me into paying for a test that apparently negated his entire visited. And then becoming very hard to get ahold of. We have had other professionals come to repair the sink... and we have been told that there is mold. (Ok... so what did that lab test do?) The whole experience was weird. And expensive. And did not help us at all. read more

When my wife and I first noticed mold on the ceiling of our bedroom closet we were filled with a feeling of dread. Partly for fear of living in an unhealthy environment but even more so because we'd have to deal with getting it repaired. Finding mold remediation companies, getting quotes, staying home from work to deal with contractors, etc. Not enjoyable stuff. Fortunately we found Patrick and his Mold Warriors and things were as smooth as could be. The first sign of Patrick being different was when he offered to come by the morning after Thanksgiving to take a look at our problem. He spent roughly 2 hours with us that morning: climbing through our attic to identify the source of the problem (leaky roof), checking other rooms, and providing us with various useful tips for preventing mold in our laundry machine, among other things. Patrick came back the following Monday with his partner Joe to look more closely at our roof, which turned out to be even leakier than expected. The two of them eventually climbed onto the roof (in the rain!) and installed a tarp to limit additional damage. I should mention this was still before Patrick finalized his price for the job or had us sign a contract. Patrick and his crew were extremely professional and thorough during the mold remediation process. We gave them a code to our garage to let themselves in each morning. They worked on a Saturday to help ensure our place was finished well ahead of the holidays. The scope of the project ended up being larger and material more expensive than expected but Patrick stuck to his original price quote. He also cleaned a weird sticky spot in a different closet and assured us it wasn't mold. And to top it all off, when the job was done, our hardwood floors (over which they carried machinery, etc.) were cleaner than before Patrick and his team first arrived. All in all, a wonderful job. Firstly, let me say, the Mold Warriors are outstanding, and STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK, which is critical with something as tricky and insideous as mold. Now, for the specifics... we interviewed three different companies when we found that the clothes in our closet above the crawl space were getting moldy, and the air just did not feel 'right'. The first two sent out what amounted to salesmen with nicely colored coveralls and a clipboards who looked at the closet, recommended tearing down the walls and wanted a hefty sum for it. Neither of them could answer my detailed questions. Then we called the Mold Warriors. They sent a team out, who ignored the closet and immediately dove into the crawl space, looking for any water leaks or mold deposits. They found a number of both, unfortunately, and showed me detailed pictures they took. The leaks were in fact the source of the mold. The two other companies would have done unnecessary work and not fixed the problem. The guys from Mold Warriors were more than able to answer any questions I had, and were effusive in their information. They went to work, and were as careful as possible in limiting the areas of the house they had to remove as to minimize the amount that would need replacement. The work was done promptly and very efficiently, with their even working with the plumbers to make sure the leaks were fixed right. A few months later, we found another very small area of mold. They came by for no charge, fixed it and made it very clear if there were any further issues, they would take care of them until the problem was completely fixed. Very few companies will follow up like this. A few months after that, my wife still had some concerns, as she found some black material on the edge of the crawl space. Patrick came by, showed us that it was not mold (it was actually painting primer) and how to identify it if it actually is mold. He also answered all of my wife's questions and made sure that she was fully confident with the answers. I can now say with confidence, our house is mold free. I had asked Patrick to inspect the crawlspace of my home for mold as another company had recently inspected it and told me that there was a need to remove all of the insulation between the floor joists and treat all of the wood to get rid of the mold. Since the estimate I was given was very expensive, I felt I needed a second opinion so I contacted Patrick, the owner of "The Mold Warriors". After inspecting the mold, Patrick told me that it was black mold which is not a health risk and had probably occurred during the construction of the home as a result of wet lumber.
