We are so grateful for our time at TMG. From the very beginning, they treated us like family. Always welcoming, kind, and genuinely loving toward my children. My kids thrived here and were truly cared for in every way. My son left this school not only potty trained, but also independent, confident, and full of grace and courtesy. Both of my children now greet others with a warm "good morning" or "hello," something that has carried over beautifully into their new school. I've even been told multiple times that they are model students, and I know without a doubt it's because of the love, hard work, and dedication poured into them here. My daughter also left this school reading and writing with confidence, speaking in such a mature and thoughtful way for her age. The foundation she received here continues to shine through in her new environment. As Montessori says, education is a partnership between teacher, parent, and child and this school lived that truth every single day. I could not have done it alone, and I'll forever be thankful for the foundation they gave my children. read more

You know what they say, when everything is great, not many people come on here to review. Well, as for me, I've had my daughter at the Montessori Garden since she was barely 18 months old. She has grown now and is almost ready to graduate from Ms. Belkis's class next year. First, let me start with the cleanliness of this school, which is very important to me. The care and love they have for the children are evident, and I'm not just speaking for my own. Even though I know she's the favorite... shhh, let me not say that out loud. lol. The routine and lessons have taught my daughter discipline, independence, and manners. She is in the Spanish-only class, which I feel is very important. She counts 1-15 in Spanish, knows all her basic colors, animals, and much more. She sings, dances, and is pretty much as happy as can be every single day. She loves her friends and visits the ones that have moved on to the bigger class. This is the best investment anyone can make for their kids. I love Ms. D, Ms. Belkis, Ms. Mayleni, and Ms. Isabel, and I also appreciate the other teachers as well. Love, read more

Had been debating leaving this review but after trying out 2 different Montessori daycares I feel the need to leave reviews on them. My child was at this Montessori daycare for about a month. Every day I picked him up I was told he had an amazing day and everything was great. I am the type of Mom that was watching the cameras constantly since I am glad they had parent access to the cameras. However, I did have a job so I couldn't watch the camera as the entire time. Given that it was his first time in daycare I thought it was strange that he was having perfect days every single day, especially since he is typically a nervous child. I decided to take a day off and watch the camera for the entire day to which I was surprised by what I saw. First of all when it was time for them to go to the park, my son started crying and hiding under the tables behind the chairs and behind the teachers legs. I did not like that when he started crying, they took him off of the camera to where I could not see where he was. When they finally were able to get him to go outside (which is not following Montessori mentality) he stayed close to the teachers and was hesitant to play with the other kids. Finally, he gets on a little tricycle and goes out to play with the other kids when I see another kid pushing him off of the bicycle and pushing his neck none of the teachers noticed because they were on their phones in the camera cameras you see them scrolling (I'm assuming social media). Another little girl was slapped by a boy and nobody noticed either. During snack time I then saw that he was eating a bag of chips, that I had not provided to him. We do not give my son sugar or any processed snacks and that's what he ate that day even though I did not give that to him. I'm also a teacher and I understand that kids will be kids and put their hands on each other but that is not my concern. I decided to go pick him up and when I picked him up, they told me he had a great day to which I then said I had seen what happened in the cameras and that he had cried for a lot of time before being told to go outside and I mentioned about the other little boy pushing him by the neck. They told me that the little boy often did that to my son because he liked to treat him like a doll and that little boy tended to be aggressive. And that he always cried every single day for a chunk of time. This heavily bothered me because I had asked every single time for them to be transparent about how my son was adjusting to daycare, and having a perfect day, does not consist of crying for an extended amount of time each day. I was also bothered because of the fact, they said the other little boy treated him like a toy and nobody ever thought to mention this to me. When I spoke to the mom of the other little boy, and I told her that the school had told me he tended to be aggressive she said the school had never even told her anything about his behavior. I pulled him out of the center and received a refund for the remaining time I had paid for. What I can say is positive is that the director of the school is very nice and the activities they gave the children are good for development as well. I truly would've kept my son here if they been more honest and transparent with communication. read more

TLDR: Highly recommend this Westchester gem We've had an amazing experience at The Montessori Garden since 2021. I started my daughter in VPK at 4 years oldp; it was her first "school" experience--she barely knew her alphabet when she started(). It was hard for the both of us at the start, but it has been such a nurturing environment for her, and she's really come out of her shell. The staff of the primary classes over the past two years have been fantastic. I wasn't sure what to do about kinder, plus I started my son (3 yrs old), so I kept her there for kinder; and I'm so glad I did. My daughter had Ms Elizabeth for VPK and kinder and it was great because she knew my daughter and was able to work to her strengths and weaknesses. She's now reading and doing addition, subtraction, and multiplication! I feel like they really are able to let the kids develop at their own pace. I'm going to be soooo sad when my daughter has to start a big school next year, but I feel like she's prepared educationally; and I only wish there were more public options for Montessori education in Miami-Dade. My son goes half days with Ms Tammy, and will start VPK next year. The staff never gave me a hard time about keeping him half days; it's what has worked best for our family. The kids and families at TMG are super nice. My daughter has made some great friends. I've met some wonderful parents. I feel like TMG is this little bubble of kindness and am so glad my kids' first experience outside of the home has been here. Mrs D (director) is amazing and really cares for the children. They do fun activities and, in our experience, our kids have always been cared for and treated with kindness, love, and respect. My children never come home complaining about mean kids or getting in fights. I also love the cameras. It gave me a huge peace of mind when they first started and I like being able to check in on them from time to time during the week to see what they're up to. They keep the parents up to speed and notified of what's going on in the school. The WhatsApp school chat is super supportive and great to keep up on what's going on. read more

This center doesn't have the professionalism, preparedness, the care and willingness to work with every type of kids, they only expect kids that are perfect and without any type of challenges. My kid has a speech and language delay and they didn't want to deal with him and after 3 days in the center the director sent us a text to come and pick him up, not even waiting until he finish his day. They kick him out. Mind you, my child has been evaluated by a neurologist and psychologist, yet the director already was diagnosing him with autism. They didn't give him the chance to adapt and they only gave him 3 days of adapting, which for me is unheard off. Highly recommend looking at other options out there, which now he's thriving in a different school. This only tells me the lack of professionalism and preparation the teachers have. I believe that the director and teachers should offer options to help the children, instead of rejecting them for their challenges, simply because the one's that are supposed to be professionals do not want to give the extra mile. I'm extremely disappointed but at the end, is for sure the best option for my kid not to be in this center. Prices are extremely high. read more

My son started in the toddler class this year and we are very happy with our experience so far. The teachers Ms.Issa & Mrs.Esther are very sweet and caring with the kids. They genuinely love the kids and it shows as well as the director of the school. They've been very accommodating and always welcome the kids each day with a smile of their face. I know my son is being taken care of and is learning each day. read more

This school is fantastic for both the children and their families. We have been at the school for over two years and now our second child has just started in the infant room. Given the choice of attending preK elsewhere or keeping our oldest at TMG, we chose TMG! The way in which our daughter's curiosity, persistence, and excitement about learning has been nurtured is a parent's dream. The staff and teachers are incredibly nurturing and also prioritize that the children feel loved and welcome every day. This is why our daughter LOVES going to school! Also, TMG is a flexible place for families, which is critical for those with young children. We're so lucky to have found TMG and strongly recommend it to other families! read more

After putting our 13 month old baby in a school where she wasn't treated right, I began looking for the perfect school. Mrs. D (the director) answered the phone instantly and answered all my questions, she even made time for us to visit that same day. We explained what previously happened and assured us that it would not happen there. Ever since putting her in the infant class, I noticed her developing quickly. She used the toilet a couple of weeks of being in the school and stared napping alone, thanks to the amazing infant teachers, Mrs. Esther & Mrs. Olga, for their patience with her. (She NEVER napped alone). They keep the room clean and are constantly picking up. The kids are cared for very well, pampers are changed often (which is important for us, since our daughter gets rashes easily). My daughter has moved from infant class to the toddler room where she is developing even more! She loves the teachers and lesson time. She won't even say bye anymore, just walks right in and as a parent that is a great sign because she feels safe and comfortable in the school environment. I couldn't have asked for a better school or staff to have her in and I wish I would've found it sooner. If your looking for a loving environment, clean facility, amazing teachers and a place where your child will grow, this is the school ! They also offer webcams so we have access to seeing our kids through an app they provide! read more

Choosing TMG as our daughters first school experience has been the best decision we've ever made! We have been at TMG for 2 years now and love everything about it. Mrs. Eilys & Mrs. Natacha (The toddler teachers) are the sweetest and most loving souls My daughter is literally obsessed with Mrs. Eilys and talks about her constantly at home; I have no doubts that when I leave my little one in the morning that she is in the best of hands. Mrs. D (The director) is very organized and is easy to reach for any questions. We also love the cameras and being able to see her having fun during the day. The school is always well maintained and impeccable in regards to cleanliness. I HIGHLY recommend TMG to any parents on the hunt for a great pre-school. read more

If I can add another 5 stars to this I would. This school has been beyond amazing to my family. As a Montessori teacher myself, looking for a school for my infant was a hard processes. I was very picky and my expectations were extremely high. When I found out The Montessori Garden was opening an infant room I was eager to tour it. In Montessori not many schools offer an infant program at a reasonable price and run like a Montessori program. At TMG they do. I was sold at the camera system where I can see my child any time I want and the daily app that sends you a message each time your child is doing something. Danierys is an amazing person. Always so welcoming and ready to answer any questions you have. Eilys the infant teacher is excellent. Very professional and gives great advice on what to do with your infant at home to help them reach their next milestone. Everyone in staff is great. Everyone is always happy and greet you no matter what. The environment is very Montessori and the children in all levels are always happy. At any time of the day that you walk in you find the children working and everything is well organize. Their is free movement but yet it's calm and quiet. It really is the perfect school and I'm so happy it crossed my path for my infant. Highly recommend it. read more

My children have been attending The Montessori Garden for the last 5 and a half years and we could not be happier with the care and education they have received. They have always been treated with love and kindness. Mrs. D, the owner is amazing and has always been a phone call away. This school has set the bar high for all future schools. read more

Referred to this school by a friend and couldn't be happier with the choice I made. Knowing my daughter is happy every day and looks forward to going to school makes it so much easier dropping her off each day. The teachers there are very caring and loving. My daughter has learned so much while attending this school and I believe a big part of her development came because of this school. She was potty trained before the age of 2! I thank the Montessori Garden and their staff for the hard work and dedication they provide and highly recommend the school. read more

As Grandparent of two students at TMG I couldn't be happier at the choice my son and daughter-in-law made to enroll them in this excellent Montessori school. My granddaughter has been attending this school since she was 18months. She has learned so much and her creative and scholastic skills are met and challenged daily. My grandson, who is presently in the infant care program, is challenged daily to achieve skills appropriate and exceeding his age. All the teachers are extremely qualified and caring to each and every student in school. They strive in bringing the child's ability, whether it's scholastic, artistic or both, so that the students reach their potential. The TMG is very conducive learning environment and the children are always happy to be there. A+ rating!!! read more
