Both my children attend here and it is a true Montessori education with a welcoming school community. The guides are exceptional.

My two high school students who graduated from RCA have received honors every year at the private high schools they attend. The teachers encourage and nuture the students giving them a true love of learning. The teachers are amazing in their ability to really see the students as individuals, to get to know them and to help them to see their own potential. My faith is important to me and RCA teaches the children to value themselves and others for who they are: children of God. Finally the school community supports each other in our shared goal of raising good and decent children who will positively influence the world around them. Regina Coeli Academy is a school that feels like a family.

The infant room program is excellent; the teachers are attentive and caring. Recently I received a call from Miss Megan (one of the owners) after I had picked up my daughter for the day. Megan called to let me know that the classroom teacher realized they had forgotten to send home two unused bottles of breastmilk. Normally, they would keep them for use the following day- but it happened to be a Friday. Immediately my heart sank, because Goddard observes strict time limits on storage of breastmilk/formula, and I knew that the bottles of liquid gold would not be able to be saved for Monday. I could have driven back to the school to pick them up, but instead Megan offered to drop them off to my house on her way home that night. Talk about service! The teacher didn't have to alert someone to the oversight. Megan didn't have to go out of her way on a Friday night to drop off my baby's bottles. But they did it anyway! Saving the world- one bottle of breastmilk at a time LOVE Goddard Horsham!

The teacher of the week would forget to give my daughter the full lunch I packed, or routinely misspelled her name on her worksheets, or forgot to take her to the bathroom while she was potty training. One teacher was arrested, and I saw and reported a teacher being verbally and physically abusive toward the children. The response from the admin was blasé. They insisted they would keep an eye on that class, and then reported that they didn't see any signs of abuse. They also lied to me on the phone while I was watching the events unfold live on camera. When I would bring up an issue with the admin team themselves, they would blame the teachers and then tell the teachers I was mad at them, forcing them to apologize. Absolutely toxic. The playground has one play structure with one slide. During the summer, they took away the gymnasium room from the younger kids, so they were stuck in their classroom all day. Why am I paying over 100$ a day for this?

With the school being directly across from the hospital, and with many hospital employees' children enrolled here, I find that this center has less days off than many other pre-schools, which is a bonus. The school's two directors were usually accessible and if they were not, they would respond in a reasonable amount of time. Regarding the teachers, my children love all them but I have a particular fondness for Miss Tiff, Miss Britt and Miss Ty and while I am new to her, my three year old who can be particular about who she interacts with, loves Ms. Emily, so I do, too. Ms Tiff and Ms. Britt were excellent at detailing the kids' days and their projects were plentiful. They really are a valuable asset to the center! Regarding why, I am only giving 4 stars, there are minor things that I would like to see in other classrooms, but they are opinion based and I will keep them to myself -- but overall, I am happy with my decision to place my children here.
