The waitress pointed out that there was not a lot of strawberry flavor added. The color of the margarita was light orange. I honestly didn't care for the drink. I barely took three sips. 5 stars for the service and the drink! Bar and inside is cool. Taylor was a great bar tender. Ordered the Tugatini and was not disappointed. I typically don't like citrus forward drinks but this had a nice balance to it and it really did taste like a key lime pie dessert. Outside is cool too but the glass needs to be cleaned. It's quite dirty/smugger which takes away from it being an awesome rooftop when you're siting down and all you see is a dirty sheet of glass. It was definitely a scenic spot. It's located atop the Graduate Hotel in downtown Tucson. Moonstone has a gorgeous view of the city. It's a perfect spot to catch the sunset with a cocktail in hand! The ambiance is beautiful at night still because the restaurant has cozy lounge areas and fire pits that help keep you warm. We arrived around 6:30pm and the sun was already completely gone so I do recommend you come around 3-4 to make sure you watch the sunset. The drinks, however, are fantastic, and I'd highly recommend visiting for a drink rather than a full meal. The customer service was exceptional; we were seated right away, and the space was beautiful and clean. Parking can be a bit tricky, with street parking a little further away. Once inside the hotel, simply take a right to the elevator, press "RT," and it will take you straight up to the rooftop. With two TVs to catch the game and a laid-back atmosphere, Moonstone is a great spot for drinks and casual lounging. Loved this place. This restaurant is inside a hotel called the graduate downtown Tucson. We went to the rooftop bar and it has the best view ever got there at sunset so it was perfect. Our waitress was the best the entire staff actually were extremely nice and the food well this stole the show the birria tacos were amazing. And they loaded them with birria the wings were good too but the nachos stole the show. The Moonstone is located on the rooftop of The Graduate Hotel. The main reason to visit this bar is for the amazing views and mountain scenery! This is an excellent spot for after work cocktails or pre-dinner drinks. As soon as we walked in we were seated and our drinks came out right away. Cocktail prices range from $14-$17 each, so they are a bit on the higher side compared to other bars in town. I enjoyed the Hibiscus Mezcalita, which had a smoky flavor. I also tried the Cactus Water, but did not enjoy that drink as much. They have tons of different seating arrangements from equipale chairs, couches, hanging swing chairs, a bar area, and a really nice outdoor area with fire-pit tables. They do have a limited selection of food items, however I did not try any this visit. A couple of disclaimers to note, the tables were not super clean during my visit. They also did not provide drink coasters or napkins. Lastly, parking can be a little tricky and often requires meter parking nearby. Again, the views still make this a place to visit. read more

The cocktail we got, the Bluebell, was very good and well presented. The Cabernet wine was very good as well. As far as value,,,a bit overpriced. Now for the food: hmmmm. Not so good. We ordered shrimp ceviche salsa. It came with over salted tortilla chips and it literally tasted like salsa with a minimal amount of shrimp. The shrimp tasted old as well. The nachos, we ordered with chicken, tasted like chicken from a can. The toppings were minimal along with, again, over salted tortilla chips. Not appetizing. The cost, definitely not worth it. The "elote cheesy bread" it's delicious. I have never tried elote like this on bread. Great appetizer. We also tried the "shrimp ceviche salsa" it's was okay I felt like it needed a sauce on the side or something. The "Sonoran chicken club wrap" was delicious, had a lot of chicken and everything tasted fresh. The chipotle mayo sauce was delicious. The food was amazing and the staff was fabulous! We had Summer as our waitress. So very attentive and polite! There are couch tables around fire pits which is nice. For summer time they have fans with misters all over outside on the patio. There is no reservations--first come first serve. I ate dinner here last night with a handful of people from a Meetup group. We sat outside, which would have been nice, but it was so cold and windy that we eventually moved to the bar inside. I ordered the Cheesy Bread ($13), which was two big slabs of French bread with elotes (corn) and other stuff on top. It was filling and tasted pretty good, even if it was mostly bread. *This review is for a visit on 10/8/22* We came here for a date night and it was absolutely worth it! It was our first time here so we asked the concierge at the hotel how we get to this restaurant to which they pointed us to the elevators and told us which floor to get off of. When you first arrive, there is a host stand and also a security guard. They asked us if we want indoor or outdoor seating and of course we wanted outdoor to take in the beautiful view. Although indoor was absolutely beautifully decorated, as well. When we arrived, it was still pretty early in the night and there was a big UofA football going on so it wasn't very crowded. We chose to sit next to the glass because we could see more of the view and it was well worth it. Our server was very sweet and took great care of us. Listen, the food menu is certainly so look at it in advance to be sure that you see something you like. We ordered the street corn and queso dip & the southwest chicken panini. The corn and queso dip was sublime. It came out piping hot and was very creamy. The panini was okay, a bit on the drier side of paninis I have eaten but overall not too bad. The drinks were very yummy. My first drink of was the 'Hooray's Hooch' and as to be expected, it was sweet and tasted like juice. Somehow I smacked my drink before I even took a sip and it broke everywhere (which hadn't happened to be before this incident) so I told our server and asked for another one and she was so sweet because she said she would ask her manager if it would be ok to replace it without charging for a second one. I felt so bad for doing that but the fact that they replaced it free of charge was very generous. I then tried the 'In a Honkey Tonk, Down in Mexico' which was so damn delicious. Ultimately, it's a spicy margarita with subtle spiciness. The atmosphere is very nice and the ambience is cute. I will say to take a light jacket or sweater because it is a rooftop bar so there is a bit of wind up there. They do have 3 big firepits that have a waitlist but we did manage to sneak our way in one of them. There was a party of 2 and I was freezing (forgot to take a jacket) so we asked them if we could sit on the opposite end of them to warm up a bit. They left and then the server came to ask if a party of 5 could join on the other side to which we said it's fine. Keep in mind the fire pit areas are very big and have seating on 3 sides. The view was breathtaking. If nothing else, I would say go for the view alone. This is the highest rooftop bar in Tucson so remember to take something warm to wear and just enjoy your time there. read more

Our server was cordial and accommodating with us wanting to split all of our checks. +I got the Tay Tay's Lavender Drop, which was a little strong on the lavender but it was delicious regardless. If you like lavender flavored drinks, this is a must-get. They do not skimp on their alcohol in their contents-- all of our drinks were super strong. $14 +Arizona Jell-O Shots: We asked our server what made them 'Arizona' jello shots since it was our first time there, but there is no particular reason! They're just sour watermelon jello shots-they were pretty good and also super strong. Unfortunately, the fire pits were full with a waitlist of over an hour, so we sat inside on the couches, but it was still nice. I will say there were multiple security guards at the door, which kind of gave an odd first impression, but other than that I liked the ambiance- classy and not a college vibe.
