This place has an ongoing programme of art exhibitions with associated talks and films, which have to date been excellent and diverse. The staff are always very friendly. There is a small shop with books for sale related to exhibitions and talks. The majority of events are free.
Until 1 December 2011, it is hosting an exhibition entitled From Palestine to Israel which uses archive photos to trace events from 1947-1950. It is an absolutely riveting and alarming record of events. From the photos and narrative, it comes as a surprise to realise that the curator is an Israeli historian. A book, available through Pluto books, accompanies the exhibition. I think this exhibition is well worth taking the trouble to visit. If you don't make it, check out the book. http://www.mosaicrooms.org/ read more
