Renewal by Andersen - BEFORE Anderson misled us...Floor to ceiling with a wee bit of trim

Do not buy from this organization. We contacted them to replace the windows in our sunroom which…read morewere floor to ceiling windows across the whole back side of our house. I returned to the home after their installation and they installed ordinary windows essentially making our sunroom into a room with a lot of windows and even more wood. We made it clear we wanted to replace the SUNROOM windows and we ended up losing over three feet of view out the backside of the house. I immediately called the sales person and his manager Sarah. She refused to do anything about it. Did not offer any form of refund and essentially said it was our fault for not understanding her sales person. Myself, my husband and our contractor all agreed the sales person said nothing about losing this much of the glass. I asked for the name and contact number of the owner and Sarah refused to supply it. I can understand her not wanting her boss to know how much they messed up but it really lacks integrity to not make upper management available to speak with a dissatisfied customer. I will never purchase anything from them again and if ever asked will tell people to run the other way. Worst home purchase of our lives

This has been an extended process and you would think it would be completed within a short period of time. In early November the installers damaged the stucco and now in mid- December the repairman looked at it and promised to match and repair it within the next couple days. The screen the installers brought in November was damaged and the door handle was not what we ordered. Supposedly these were ordered on installation day but when I called to find out if there has been progress I was informed they would be ordered and be here in mid-January. The windows are pricey and would not be recommended based on the service provided.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Please do your research…read morebefore hiring Glenwood Kitchen & Bath. Our experience with Tom and Carrie Dion--under their former company, DZ Construction--was deeply disappointing and ultimately harmful. We had to involve attorneys due to their negligence, and just before going to trial, their insurance company settled out of court--an indication they knew they were in the wrong. Here are just a few of the major issues we encountered: A toilet was improperly installed, causing black water to seep into the bathroom subfloor. This eventually led to black mold. They installed cheap base cabinets that we never approved. The "sink base" under our farmhouse sink wasn't even a proper sink base. They installed the countertop without creating a proper template or following the plans provided by our interior designer, resulting in a poor fit. They installed exterior windows without using any weatherproof flashing. Most concerning, they expected us to pay out of pocket to fix these mistakes. They ghosted us for long stretches of time, failed to supervise their subcontractors, and made no effort to check the quality of the work being done in our home. We paid every invoice on time and made multiple attempts to meet with Tom and Carrie Dion to resolve the situation. Because we were prepared to go to trial, we had two licensed general contractors evaluate the project. Both provided expert opinions listing numerous defects and estimates of the resulting damage. I now have a 3-inch thick file of emails, text messages, photos, invoices, and documentation detailing our experience. This entire process was stressful, costly, and completely avoidable. I'm sharing this review to warn others: again, please do your research before hiring Glenwood Kitchen & Bath, formerly known as DZ Construction. We would never want another family to go through what we did.
