However, I'm really disappointed in the quality of the boots themselves. This is probably my 7th pair of Docs and my 3rd pair of Jadon Max boots, so I'm very familiar with the brand and what to expect. However, this is my first pair of the vegan version, and the quality just doesn't compare to my previous pairs. I've only had them for around 8 months and don't wear them every day, yet the sole has already developed a large horizontal crack (around 10cm long). It's quite significant, and it honestly feels like it's only a matter of time before the entire sole rips off. For the price, I expected them to last much longer, so unfortunately I don't feel the quality matches the cost.

The thing I love about going into Cash Converters is that you never know what you are going to find. This can be a problem for people like me who normally go into a shop with something specific in mind and then leave with something completely different. At Cash Converters most of the stuff you see is in fairly good condition and if its things like a bicycle or tools or even a surf board sometimes starting out with a second hand one from Cash Converters is a good idea. They do also have a lending and selling area so if you have something that is in good condition and u want to get rid of it take it down to Cash Converters for an easy sale. This also avoids having to put ad's up online and takes the time wasting out of selling. If you borrow money be aware though because they will have a crazy high interest rate almost to the point of it not being worth it.

Tricks that they have include hiding item defects by covering them with price tags, and when it comes to electrical goods (such as game consoles), they shrink wrap them so that you cannot see item defects until after the purchase has already been made. They may also offer you a lower price on an item if you agree to no warranty, though do not do this! If the item is immediately faulty when you get home, they will have a 'too bad' kind of attitude. I have not tried selling anything to them or getting a loan through them, nor would I considering my purchasing experiences with them. Some of the items that they sell are pretty good, it is a shame that they lack good customer service, and feel the need to mislead customers in order to move stock. If you are interested in used goods, stick to ebay, as you have buyer protection through PayPal.

Thankfully we have a new little store to pin our hopes to, What used to be a market stall Jet Black Cat has evolved into a small store oh so handily located on vulture st. Some parts rock and all parts indie Jet Black Cat sticks it to the man (or the internet) and specialises in hand picked music, CD's and Vinyl music goodness. This store has a lot of heart and won't disappoint music lovers. The owner is very friendly and you most likely will not leave empty handed. (Local tip. Watch out for their collaborations with the End bar down the road!)

Jet Black Cat is an exceptional little store that caters for the vinyl lover of modern indie music. Their range is not terrible but they've foregone having a deep catalogue for having the latest albums, both major and indie stuff, on vinyl. Shannon, who typically runs the store, is very friendly and will offer her recommendations openly without seeming pretentious. Music is her business and she knows it very well. You get the sense that she wants you to enjoy what she enjoys and I think that's why Jet Black Cat will survive the digital revolution. They're closed on Monday but open from 10am from Tuesday through to Sunday.

For example recently, I wasn't looking for anything in particular but I ended up walking out with a pair of tongs with bright red ends that have a bend on them, so when you lay it on the bench, the tongs won't touch the surface.
