The pickup process at the end of camp was especially disappointing. There was no greeting or acknowledgment from staff, no effort to personally connect with parents, and no discussion whatsoever about the campers' experience or their artwork. It felt disorganized and impersonal. The "gallery walk," which should have been a proud moment, was chaotic and lacked any structure or explanation. We actually didn't know who was a camper or who was an instructor. We were left to wander through the space without context or guidance, which made it hard to fully appreciate what the kids had spent nearly two weeks creating. Socially, the experience was incredibly isolating for my daughter and her friend. Despite being there for 12 days, they struggled to make connections with other campers. It became painfully clear that they were the only ones not from private schools, and unfortunately, they were made to feel like outsiders because of it. The environment was very cliquey, and there seemed to be little to no staff intervention to help bridge those social divides. Had my daughter not had her one friend from home with her, I likely would have brought her home early. There was very little downtime or effort from counselors to create a sense of community. Days were packed with studio time and started extremely early, leaving kids exhausted and with few opportunities to relax or socialize. Team-building activities or any sort of group bonding could have made a huge difference, but those were noticeably absent. Additionally, some of the camp rules were concerning and poorly communicated. One that stood out was the bizarre rule that campers couldn't enter each other's rooms because the staff would "assume they were having sex." For a teen art camp, this kind of messaging felt inappropriate and unnecessarily harsh. To be fair, my daughter enjoyed the off-campus trips and said the food was great. But overall, this was a very expensive camp experience where she felt left out, unwelcomed, and disconnected, despite doing something she truly loves. That is not acceptable. Camp should be a place where kids feel encouraged, supported, and inspired, not judged or excluded. This was a one and done experience for us. We will not be returning, and I would caution other families to look closely at what kind of environment Snow Farm is really fostering.

Sandy (a James Beard Award winner for his restaurant, Sanford, in Milwaukee) and his wife, Angie, are lovely human beings. They teach themed classes during the year and have a few three-day "New England Getaways" in the fall. Their classes are great for couples as well as small groups of friends who want to cook AND dine together. I cannot say enough good things about Good Stock! Sandy and Angie make you feel like family.

So cool to see Mark Antony deliver his famous speeches with birds chirping in the background. The 2nd act of the play was when the sun was down, and being outside essentially in the woods created an eerie and ominous atmosphere. I would love to go here again - so much potential for what could be done here. The only things I would say as a criticism is the seating is uncomfortable, being just plain fold-up metal chairs. Bring your own chairs or set up a blanket on the grass if you can. Also be aware that it's an outdoor venue and be sure to check the weather ahead of time! We were lucky enough to go on a very mild night with no wind or storms, but that might not be the case every time.

This is a top-notch small liberal arts college (about 1,800 students come from 49 states and other countries) with a gorgeous campus. The hilltop view of the Connecticut River in the distance is worth the visit! The campus has a nice mix of architectural styles with a world-class natural history museum. Afterwards, getting lunch in the town of Amherst was convenient - the proximity of restaurants in town within walking distance is a plus for Amherst students. Amherst still requires KN95 mask wearing for indoor building access and requires you to show your COVID-19 vaccination card. If you don't like this policy, that may be a sign that Amherst College is not for you. In any case, it's well worth a stop here if you're looking at small liberal arts colleges. One star is removed for not having a short restroom break during the tour. Also, the information session auditorium was difficult to find and about a 10 minute walk from the admissions office.

This College was a lot better than I expected.I went to an information session and campus tour to learn about the college for my daughter. What I learned was that they have an open curriculum and they focus on undergraduate studies and accept a student body of 1800. Their financial aid is based not on a merit system it's based on finances. The campus has newly built science center and they have the most incredible Beniski Natural Sciencecience museum!!! I didn't have a chance to go ahead and look throughout the entire museum but this is definitely on my list to come backbut they had a huge skeleton of a mammoth and that already made me fall in love with this museum. They had a great student center which house a lot of movie nights and other cool things on campus. There ihave one dedicated food Hall of the Valentine because the person who cooks there is named Valentine... I think. And they have an amazing athletic center which a humongous track and field which is the state of the yard. They have new dorms for upperclassmen and the underclassmen resides in the center square.I definitely think it's worth visiting they also have arts museum to which I didn't have a chance to look at but again I'm on my list to visit. Also this is a very inclusive College.

Food court is sponsor by Marriot culinary program so the food looks good. Lots of the lines had 30 or more people waiting so didn't have time. School clothing store had affordable sweaters, about $36 for a UMass Champion brand hooded sweater. Nice campus.
