Great spot with all sorts of different Asian noodle soups and extremely vegan-friendly -- not particularly authentic, but also not terribly far off. My wife & I stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday around 7pm, and the place was about half full. I got the Laksa with tofu (default vegan) and my wife got the Tom Yum noodle soup with tofu (default vegan) -- €14.50 each. Because we were famished, we also got a Thai Red Curry (Fried) Rice with tofu (€14.50; made vegan by omitting the egg). I was really happy with my laksa. While not exactly authentic, the broth was nicely spiced, rich and balanced, coming with tons of vegetables, plenty of fried tofu, and nicely cooked thin rice noodles. The taste I had of the tom yum noodle soup was also impressive -- tangy, deeply spiced/flavoured and satisfying. Coming from Seattle area, we are spoiled for an abundance of tasty ethnic food available in the area given the huge immigrant population. After over a week of Christmas market food, we need something with a bit more "punch". Hence we were thrilled to find this hole in the wall in Brussels Centrale. The taste of everything we ordered, especially the green curry fried rice was simply delicious even by Seattle standards. Seating is a bit cramped in a galley style layout and unlikely to accommodate large groups. However for our family of 4 it was perfect. Service was quick and genuine. The spring rolls were OK nothing exceptional but good. The pineapple fried rice was really bland and needed flavor. I ended up having to switch dishes with my wife and trying to flavor it up with some hot sauce. My wife took over my also lacking any flavor beef dish which she normally would never take beef over chicken or fish. We were both at the end of the meal agreed that this place was a dud. Food 2.5 Food really lacks flavor, portions were a good size. Atmosphere 3.5 We ate outside, the down side to that is the smokers, which did not add to our dining experience. This place rocked! It's in the Central Brussels district, so when the district is packed, so is this place. It's quite chaotic, but we loved the food so much that we came back again on consecutive nights! They have quite the flexible menu. Generally, pick your entrée, pick a protein, pick your spice level, and then a size upgrade of 1X or 2X. I felt I had to try the Thai pho 1X, because I've never seen that billed as such, since pho is known more as a Vietnamese dish. Hubs for the Thai fried rice with chicken, I ordered the "hot as hell" Thai fried rice with beef, and woo hoo, it was truth in advertising. The heat tasted like it came more from chili oil rather than something like sriracha. For the pho, 1X was quite the beast to handle, and I barely finished it the first night, and couldn't finish the second night.
