At any case we took her here and she checked out as healthy at the time. A month later we were back because of poopy problems. We found out she had a disease that is common in unclean catteries. We received a prescription and the problems started clearing up. Then the real problems started. Our little girl was losing weight and was tired all the time. Because we travel so much we had to take her to an emergency vet in Connecticut. At that point she was diagnosed with FIP which is nearly 100% fatal. We made sure all records were sent to her doctor at the Veazie clinic and they did so much research and expressed such concern for our little Arista. They made appointments available at short notice which during these times is amazing. We drove from Rhode Island on more than one occasion because they were the only one that we could make a appointment with to do the blood tests we needed to monitor her progress. My wife and I sourced the drugs and administered the treatments because vets are not allowed to do it or even tell us about the possible treatment for this horrible disease but we needed a concerned vet that we could ask questions and monitor our treatment progress. Today our little girl is happy, healthy and full of energy. We have another month before we can say she is 100% cured and we are confident she will be. Thank you so much for the outstanding effort everyone at this clinic did for us and our little baby.

I narrowed down the breeders that I felt had dogs that were what I sought. The way Babette starts from day one with the touch and soft voices, then adds in belly rubs and so much stimulation that only adds to the fabulous personality. In the meantime since his graduation, my son got a Bull Terrier X, when Jameson was 2 and my son's birthday approached I asked if he wanted a second dog, a dachshund, YES! Babette had 2 litters and some were not spoken for.... I showed him what was available and he chose a shaded cream female....We watched her grow via the daily videos, with her siblings and the other litter. She was funny, bold and so rambunctious. My son named her Tullamore Dew aka Tully. She is now 2 yrs old as of Sept 2021. Not a day goes by that we don't laugh at her antics, adore her sweetness and devotion. She greets everyone, and loves to hand out kisses. Belly rubs will change this gal into this relaxed lump of dachshund and a sleepy girl. She lets you know it's rub time by tapping you with her paw. If you scold her, the head drops and she looks up at you with such soulful dark chocolate eyes....sorry. Personality to the moon! I read the other review.....breeders lives are controlled by their dogs, if a dog is whelping their focus in on that momma to be and 1 day or 2 may pass, be patient. They also have lives beyond. When I worked for 2 show kennels with many grand champions, many times we had a waiting list greater than pups that were born. So if we went through the list and we got additional inquiries....we responded to those people. However the first yes, we will take the pup is the winner. The others can wait for the next litter if they wish. Good breeders with good reputations when word is out they have a pup is available their phone/e-mail blows up. We sometimes had people on a waiting list for a year or two. Waiting for the right breeder IS WORTH IT!

You are not allowed to meet the pups till you at least put a $500 deposit down. They are kept downstairs in 4x4 wooden boxes with sawdust. The older dogs are kept in slim outside runs with 2-3 other dogs. Most of the puppies are anxiety riddled due to weak nerve breeding, and never seeing outside till they are picked up or only for pictures for Facebook or the website. Constant barking and fights between them. No idea how they got away with state checks. Some of the employees were mentally drained due to the unprofessionalism of the owners.

The Salty Dog is like a mill - they want the dogs in and out quickly, and when that's not possible, they blame the dog.
