Why would anyone keep handing over money to a lawyer who doesn't do the bare minimum? No paperwork filed. No follow-up on new charges. No visit to the client, despite promising to do so. And yet, somehow, this lawyer still felt entitled to more money--even though nothing had been done since the first (and only) court appearance. I was upfront about my situation, payment timing, and even tried to coordinate with the client's mother and brother to make things work. But the communication was completely unprofessional. It was always me chasing for answers, and never once did I feel this case was treated with any priority or care.
