My mate Ged reckons this place is the best pub in the world. I wouldn't go quite that far (Moran's…read morein the Weir near Galway, Paddy Burke's?) but you can see what he means. A home from home for the expat Brits in les environs. Gilles as good as a landlord as you could imagine (single incurable drawback being Southampton fan - let's put that down to poor genes..). Staff invariably great. Good real ale on tap. Curry house next door....all in the heart of the beautiful town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

(There's no Guinness though which is a little disappointing ) Though on the other hand if I had to rate the food I would give it a 3star rating- while the pubs in London have mostly all become Gastro pubs, this pub has stayed very basic and is far from the french cuisine of the cafes around it.
