We went here, as it was very busy during the day. When we arrived, host was great. Waitress was nice, but language barrier. I didn't think it would be hard to order a vodka martini. Visited The Old House for dinner while on travel to Lisbon for work in early November 2021. Very impressed with this Chinese restaurant. Everything from the decor to the food was well done. My group of 6 ate outside. We started and ended with only appetizers... and wine. After sharing selections of different appetizers all agreed they were excellent and filling enough that we ended up just ordering more and no main courses. All told we sampled about 5 different apps. If the opportunity would have arisen, I would most certainly have revisited this restaurant again for main courses. One thing I was most impressed with was the menu, literally a multi-page picture book. They have one of the largest menus I've ever seen in any restaurant. Every Chinese menu item selection one could imagine is available here. It is certainly pricey but I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

This place is way overpriced. Yes it is positioned to be a high end Chinese restaurant but 43 euros for a regular fish dish? That's ridiculous!! Most meat entrees are in high 20s, which is also quite pricey. It is very clean and has a great view if you're dining in the outside area. But even the food and the view combined is not worth the price tag. read more

Foods are just okay... overpriced.... seems like there are lots of selection in menu, but shouldn't be expect too much, let's not compare it to the authentic ones in China...I ordered the exact same dish in the US, the price is half of it and tastes way better... the eggs are watery and tasteless, the soup definitely added some MSG on it. I've eaten here now 5-6 times. The second last time I was there the food was perfection! Service was excellent too. Sometimes they hit out of the park...and sometimes it's OK.
